WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IN ADVANCE
GENERAL
Take the following actions to obtain an optimum result.
• Placetheairpurifierinanelevatedlocation(e.g.onatableorcupboard)in
ordertoallowittofiltersmallparticlessuchassmoke.Placetheairpurifier
nearoronthegroundtoenableittofilterlargedustparticlessuchaspollen.
• Alwaysmaintainafreespaceof30cmaroundthedevice.
• Readtheseinstructionscarefullyandfollowthedirections.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
• Theinstallationmustbecompletelyinaccordancewithlocalregulations,
ordinancesandstandards.
• Thedeviceissuitableexclusivelyforuseindryplaces,indoors.
• Checkthemainsvoltage.Thisdeviceissuitableexclusivelyforearthedsockets
–connectionvoltage230Volt/50Hz.
• ThedeviceMUSTalwayshaveanearthedconnection.Youmayabsolutelynot
connectthedeviceifthepowersupplyisnotearthed.
• Theplugmustalwaysbeeasilyaccessiblewhenthedeviceisconnected.
• Donotconnectthedevicewithanextensioncord.
• Neverusethedevicewithadamagedcordorplug.
• Thedevicemustbeconnectedtothepowersupplywithanearthedplug.
Ensurethatthepowercordisnotentangledorrolledup.
• Alwaysswitchthedeviceoffbeforepullingtheplugoutfromthewalloutlet.
Whenyoupullouttheplugfromthesocket,griptheplugtoavoiddamaging
thecord.
• Itisforbiddenforchildrentoplaywiththedevice.Thedevicemayonlybe
usedbyadults.
• Itisdangerousandforbiddentomodifythedevice.
• Itisforbiddentocoverthedeviceortoinsertforeignobjectsintothedeviceas
afireorelectricshockcouldoccur.
• Donotmakethedevicewet.
• Avoidusingspraycans(insectspray,hairspray,etc.)inthevicinityoftheair
purifier.Thismaydamagethedeviceand/orcausefires.
• Thedevicemaynotbeusedinhumidroomssuchasbathrooms.
• Adamagedelectricitycablemayonlybereplacedbythesupplierorn
authorisedperson/servicepoint.
TIPS FOR SAFE USAGE
• Keepplasticbagsandotherpackagingmaterialsoutofreachofchildren.
• Thedevicewasdevelopedtopurifyairandnotforanyotherapplication.
• Alwayscontactyoursupplierifrepairormaintenanceisrequired.
• Donotplacethedeviceinthevicinityofheatsources,materials,installations,
ornearcurtains,thatmaycauseafirehazardorinenvironmentswhere
explosionsmayoccur.
• Alwaysswitchthedeviceoffandremovetheplugfromthesocketbefore
cleaning it.
• Thesurfacemustbestableandlevel.

AINSTALLING THE AIR PURIFIER
1Removethefrontpanelbypressingthepushtabsonbothsidesofthe
device.
2RemovethescreenfilterfromthedeviceandthenremovetheSemiHEPA-/
Enzyme-filter andtheactivecarbonfilterRemovethepackagingfrom
both filters.
3Firstputtheactivecarbonfilterbackintothedevice,followedbytheSemi
HEPA-/Enzyme-filter(greensidefacingthefront)andthescreenfilter.
4Fastenthefrontpanelbyinsertingthetwohooksatthetopintotherecesses
inthedevice.Nowclickthebottomleftandrightofthefrontpanelinto
position.
5Thedeviceisnowreadyforuwse.
ATTENTION!
TheSemiHEPA-/Enzyme-filterandactivatedcarbonfiltermustbeplacedcorrectly
inordertoguaranteecorrectoperation.
BREMOTE CONTROL
1Openthecoveronthebackoftheremotecontrol.
2Insertthebatteries,ensuringthatthe+and–polesarepositionedcorrectly.
3Closethecover.
ATTENTION!
•Handletheremotecontrolwithcare.Itmaystopworkingifitbecomeswetoris
droppedordamagedinsomeotherway.
•Themaximumrangeis7metres.
•Incorrectlyplacedbatteriesmaycausedamage.

CAIR FILTER
Theairpurifierisequippedwitha4layerfilterpackagetocleanthecirculated
room air.
• SemiHEPA(HighEfficiencyParticulateAirfilter)filtercapturesallergenslike
bacteria,dustandpollen.
• Enzymefilterneutralizesairbornemicroorganisms.
• Activecarbonfilterremovesunpleasantodoursfromtheair.
• Screenfiltercaptureslargedustparticles.
TheSemiHEPA/Enzymefilterandactivatecarbonfiltercontinuetoworkfora
longperiodoftimeafteropening.Thefrequencyofuseandoperatingconditions
determinehowoftenthefiltersmustbereplaced.Whenthefilterisnew,thever-
ticalfilterlifetimebarlightsupgreen.Dependingontheconditions,thelightswill
bede-activatedstepwise.Whenthefilterissaturated,the‘Filter’light swit-
cheson(red).Whenthishappens,takethefollowingsteps:
1Switchthedeviceoffandremovetheplugfromthesocket.
2Unfastenthefrontpanelwith the push tabs onbothsidesofthedevice.
3RemovethescreenfilterfromthedeviceandthenremovetheHEPA-/Enzyme-
filter  andtheactivatedcarbonfilter.
4Cleanthescreenfilterwithavacuumcleaner.
5Installthenewactivcarbonfilter,followedbytheSemiHEPA-/Enzyme-filter
andfinallythescreenfilter(seesectionB).
6Presstheresetbuttonafter installing the screen filter .Ifyoudonotdo
this,the‘Filter’light willremainonandthefollowingfilterreplacement
willnotbedisplayed.
7Dirtyfilterscanbedisposedofwithhouseholdwaste(notbiologicallydegra-
dablewaste)withoutanyproblem.
8Newfiltersareavailableatyourdealer.
ATTENTION!
•Alwaysreplacedirtyfilterswithnewfilters.Neverre-useadirtyfilter,evenafter
ithasbeencleaned.
•Dependingonthecircumstancesitmightbecomfortabletoreplacethefilters
morefrequent.

1Inserttheplugintothesocket.
2Pressthecontrolbuttontoswitchthedeviceon.The lightandafan
speedlightwillswitchon.Inthe mode,theairpurifierautomatically
selectsthefanspeedrequiredtofiltertheairintheroom.
3Pressingthecontrolbuttonagainwillchangethemodeasfollows:
Theappropriatefanspeedlight , , or will switch on.
ATTENTION!
The Timer ,Smoke andPollen modescanonlybeoperatedwith
the remote control.
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
•DuringAutomaticoperationtheAUTOLamp(Green)lightstogetherwithared
lampindicatingthefanspeed.
Lighting of the air quality lamp in the automatic operation mode.
•Theairqualitylampwillnotlightforthreeminutesafterplugginginthepower
cord.(Thethreeminutesarerequiredforpreliminaryoperationofthesensor.)
Automaticoperationmeansstandardoperationwhentheairqualityisnot
lighting up.
•Whenairisdirty,theairqualitylampturnsRed.
•Theoperationmodewillchangeaccordingtohowmanytimestheairquality
lampturnsRed.
The operation mode will be switched according to how many times the red lamp
has been lit (the more red lamps, the dirtier).

1Switchthedeviceon.
2Pressthe button.
3Light1atonthedisplaywillswitchon,whichmeansthatthedevicewill
switchoffautomaticallyafter1hour.Pressthebuttonagaintosetanope-
ratingperiodof2or4hours.Theappropriatelightwillswitchon.
4Pressthe button again to switch the timer function off.
ATTENTION!
TheTimersettingwillbedeletedwhenyouswitchthedeviceoffwith
the button.

HOW TO USE ROOM MODE OPERATION
1PresstheRoomModebuttoninoperationtosetatyourdesirablemode.
•TheRoomModewillflashtolightupafteraperiodoftime,andtheRoom
Modeisset.
•Toselectadifferentmode,starttheprocedurefrom 1again.
•Oncepressthebutton,themodewillswitch.
*Itisnotnecessarytopressandholdthebutton.
•Whentheoutletisinsertedfortheinitialperiodoftime,thismodewillstart
from”LivingRoomMode”.Whentheunitrestarts,theprevioussettingis
memorizedandstartthemodeinoperation.
•TheoperationdoesnotstartevenifpressingtheRoomModebuttonwhile
inshutdown.
Pressthisbuttontoactivateaspeciallyprogrammedpollenremovalfunction.
The light onthedisplaywillswitchon.Pressthe button to switch this
function off.
Pressthisbuttontoactivateaspeciallyprogrammedsmokeremovalfunction.
The light onthedisplaywillswitchon.Pressthe button to switch this
function off.
ATTENTION!
Theairqualityisindicatedonthedisplayduringairpurification.
Thehigherthelevelofcontaminationintheair,themorelightswillturnred.
Thereareseparateindicatorsforthedust( )andodour( )status.

FCLEANING
Switchofftheairpurifierandremovetheplugfromthesocketbeforecleaning
THE EXTERIOR
Cleantheexteriorwithasoft,drycloth.Ifthedeviceisextremelydirty,useamild
cleaningagent.Wipethedevicewithaslightlydampcloth.Neverspraythedevice
with water.
SCREEN FILTER 
Cleanthescreenfilterwithavacuumcleaner.
THE Semi HEPA-/ENZYME-FILTER 
Cleanthegrillofthefrontpanelwithavacuumcleaner.Itisnotpossibletoclean
theSemiHEPA-/Enzyme-filter.Itmustbereplacedwhenitbecomesdirty(see
sectionC).
THE ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER 
Thisfiltercannotbecleaned.ItmustbereplacedtogetherwiththeSemiHEPA/
Enzymefilter(seesectionC).
ATTENTION!
Neverusethedevicewithouttheairfilter.
GSTORAGE
Ifthemachinewillnotbeusedforalongperiodoftime,takethefollowingsteps:
1Switchoffthedevice.
2Removetheplugfromthesocket.
3Cleanthemachine.
4RemovetheSemiHEPA-/Enzyme-filter(seesectionC).
5Removetheactivecarbonfilter(seesectionC).
6Dirtyfilterscanbedisposedofwithhouseholdwaste(notbiologicallydegra-
dablewaste)withoutanyproblem.
7Storethedeviceinadust-freelocation,preferablycoveredwithasheetof
plastic.
