INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
! Turn the gas to the appliance off prior to conducting service. Disconnect power to the appliance.
1Attach the control knob
extenders (see the
directions to the right).
Gas Control Valve
(located below firebox)
Install the extension knobs over
the knobs on the gas control
valve. Rotate the knobs until they
lock in place.
The extenders are
different and must
correspond to the
knobs on the valve.
2Attach the control knob support and control knob lock plate following the directions below.

Loosen the two nuts above the gas control valve (used to
hold the burner pan in place). Slide the control knob
support over the studs and tighten the nuts.

Install the control

3Attach the control panel extension plate following the directions below.

Remove the two nuts (insert) or two screws (fireplace)
holding the control panel in place. Lift the panel, with
piezo and rheostat attached, upwards, off the two studs
(be careful not to damage or disconnect the wiring).
Attach the control panel to the
extention plate using the two nuts
included with the face.
Place the control panel
extension plate over the two
studs. Re-attach the nuts or
screws to secure the control
panel extension plate.

4Attach the face following the directions below.

Place the brick floor inside the face.

Remove the glass from the heater

Attach the mounting brackets to the heater (use
the four screws included with the face).
Slide the face onto the brackets.
Note how the pins on the face slide
onto the tabs on the brackets.
Replace the glass on
the heater (make sure
the logs & coals are in
place).

HINT: pre-thread the holes on the
heater before installing the brackets.
GOLD SURFACES:
After installation, remove tape and clean all gold
surfaces with denatured alcohol and a soft cloth to
prevent permanent marks.
NOTE:
If the glass is not aligned,
loosen the attachment
nuts and align the glass.
Clean the glass if
necessary.
NOTE:
To open the access
door, pull on the
ashlip. It moves
forward and down
to expose the
controls.
