WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling and reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to

a chronic condition. If necessary, limit the length of time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands below a normal

General Safety

WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the

warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, ﬁre and/or serious injury.

WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)

with reduced, physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded)

power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

Work area safety

a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents

b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the

presence of ﬂammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks

which may ignite the dust or fumes.

c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.

Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical safety

a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any

way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power

tools. Unmodiﬁed plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric

shock.

b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes,

radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric

shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a

power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or

unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp

edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of

electric shock.

e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable

for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of

electric shock.

f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a

residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces

the risk of electric shock.

Personal safety

a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when

operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired

or under the inﬂuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of

inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.

Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat,

or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal

injuries.

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position

before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or

carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your ﬁnger on the switch or

energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.

d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool

on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may

result in personal injury.

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This

enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair,

clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or

long hair can be caught in moving parts.

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and

collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

Power Tool Use & Care

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your

application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the

rate for which it was designed.

b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any

power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must

be repaired.

c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack

from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing

accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures

reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow

persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate

the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving

parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the

power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired

before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools

with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with

these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the

work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from

those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

Battery tools use and care

a) Recharge only with charger speciﬁed by the manufacturer. A charger

that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of ﬁre when

used with another battery pack.

b)Use power tools only with speciﬁcally designated battery packs.

Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and ﬁre

c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal

objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small

metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to

another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause a burns or

a ﬁre.

d)Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery;

avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, ﬂush with water. If

liquid contact eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected

from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

Service

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualiﬁed repair person using only

identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power

tool is maintained.

WARNING: Before connecting a tool to a power source (mains switch power

point receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the voltage supply is the same as

that speciﬁed on the nameplate of the tool. A power source with a voltage

greater than that speciﬁed for the tool can result in serious injury to the user,

and damage to the tool. If in doubt, do not plug in the tool. Using a power

source with a voltage less than the nameplate rating is harmful to the motor.

Oscillating Multi-Tool Safety

WARNING: Contact with electric or gas lines can lead to ﬁre, electric shock

and explosions. Penetrating a water line can result in damage to property and

electric shock. Use appropriate detectors to determine if utility lines are hidden

in the work area. Always be extremely careful when making blind and pocket

cuts where the exit point of the blade or accessory at the other side of the

material cannot be seen.

WARNING: Asbestos may be in materials and textured coatings in older

properties and should be treated with extreme caution. If you suspect or

discover asbestos consult your local health and safety authority immediately

for advice on its removal. It may require the services of a specialist asbestos

removal company.

WARNING: If a cutting accessory makes contact with a ‘live’ wire, the exposed

metal parts of the power tool may become ‘live’ and could give the operator

an electric shock. Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces at all

times during use.

WARNING: DO NOT work with damp or wet materials or accessories that

require liquid coolants. Liquids entering the body of the tool is an electrical

hazard as well as likely to destroy the tool.

WARNING: The dust produced from working with some materials can be toxic.

Beech, oak, mahogany and teak natural woods, man-made composite woods

and some surface treatments including paint with lead are toxic. Lead based

paint is common in buildings pre 1960. Always wear suitable respiratory

protection for example a respirator face mask. Ideally also use a dust

extraction system or regularly vacuum the work area to prevent the build-up

of dust and do a ﬁnal vacuum after the work is completed. Most dust is a ﬁre

hazard. Overhead work surfaces have an increased safety risk for dust.

• Wear protective, cut-proof gloves when changing blades and accessories.

Some blades and accessories can be very sharp. Scraper blades sharpen

as they are used. Blades and accessories shortly after use can be very hot,

allow to cool

• Keep your workplace clean. Dusts created from different materials

including woods and metals can be highly ﬂammable. Dust from light

alloys including magnesium can burn or explode easily

• DO NOT treat the work surface with ﬂuids containing solvents. If such

ﬂuids become warm from scraping, toxic vapours may be produced, or

surfaces may catch ﬁre

WARNING: Never ﬁt any blade or accessory with a maximum speed lower than

the no load speed of the power tool.

• Only change accessories and blades or perform maintenance with the tool

disconnected from its power supply, either mains connection or battery. If

the tool features a captive battery in a charged state take extra care not to

switch it on accidentally when changing accessories or blades

• Always use accessories or blades that are approved by the manufacturer or

meet the speciﬁcation of your power tool, this includes being compatible in

size and speed. DO NOT try to cut material thicker than the capacity stated

in the speciﬁcation

• Only use an adapter for using different accessories or blades if the adapter

is speciﬁcally designed and approved by the manufacturer of your power

tool

• DO NOT modify accessories or blades so they work with power tools they

were not intended to work with or for uses that they were never designed

for

• DO NOT use accessories or blades that are damaged, bent, chipped,

cracked, heavily corroded or excessively worn. Such accessories can break

apart in use causing injury to the operator. Always inspect accessories or

blades before use and discard immediately if not in good condition. Never

use blades that are worn to a dull edge. Always use sharp blades

• Always ensure all accessories or blades are securely attached to the tool

before use and the securing tool is removed prior to use

• DO NOT attempt to free a jammed blade or accessory until the power tool

has been disconnected from power

• Inspect the workpiece before use to make sure it is in the correct condition

for the ﬁtted accessory or blade. Remove all nails, staples and other

embedded objects prior to starting work

• Any freely movable workpieces should be secured with a clamp or vice

before starting work

• Always ensure that the lighting is adequate in the work area. Never remove

your safety goggles or glasses to improve your view instead increase the

level of lighting or move the lighting so it speciﬁcally illuminates the work

area correctly

• DO NOT operate the power tool near ﬂammable materials. Be especially

careful when cutting wood and metal. Sparks from metal cutting are a

common cause of wood dust ﬁres

• If batteries are to be charged outdoors, ensure that the power supply and

charger are protected against rain and moisture

• NEVER start the power tool while the blade or accessory is in contact with

the workpiece, and always allow the power tool to reach its full speed

before making contact with the workpiece. Use the variable speed control

of the tool (if ﬁtted) to start the tool at the correct speed for the accessory

or blade ﬁtted

• DO NOT exert additional pressure on the body of the tool: allow the blade or

accessory to do the work. By not exerting additional pressure you maintain

a safer stronger grip on the power tool when it breaks through the material,

as well as reducing wear on the power tool which will extend the power

tool’s service life. Additional pressure may also bend or twist the accessory

or blade which may cause it to break and cause injury. If the power tool

allows for being held with one or two hands hold with two hands whenever

possible. Always exercise caution when handling this power tool

• Sawing, cutting and abrasive actions create heat. This may affect the

workpiece and power tool. Always monitor the heat level and in the

event of excessive heat switch off the power tool and allow to cool before

restarting work. Some power tools depending on design may be more

quickly and effectively cooled by running at high speed without load

• The power tool will draw in dust through the vents on its body. Excessive

accumulation of powdered metal may cause an electrical hazard and

destroy the tool. Always ensure the environment dust level is safe for the

tool and ensure the vents are not blocked

• For mains-operated power tools, ensure the cable of the power tool is

always kept behind the tool and never close to where the accessory or

blade is operating

• DO NOT reach under the workpiece, rest the workpiece on your body,

or hold the workpiece while working on it, as contact with the blade or

accessory protruding from the workpiece can result in serious injury

• Anti-vibration gloves should be worn when operating power tools that

produce large amount of vibration, especially during long-term use

• For power tools with a rotating mechanism and accessories ensure the

operator is not wearing clothes or gloves with frayed threads, cords etc.

work clothes, safety shoes. Remove jewellery and secure long hair. Never

wear fabric-based gloves that can produce strands of material when

operating this type of power tool

• DO NOT allow sanding sheets to wear away on the sanding pad. This will

damage the surface of the pad requiring replacement and may cause parts

of the sanding sheet to ﬂy off the pad, causing operator injury

• DO NOT touch the moving sanding sheet

• Wire brush bristles are thrown by the brush even during ordinary operation.

DO NOT overstress the wires by applying excessive load to the brush. The

wire bristles can easily penetrate light clothing and skin

modiﬁcations.

Battery charger safety

Use the battery charger correctly

• Refer to the section of this manual relating to use of the battery charger

before attempting to charge the battery.

• Do not attempt to use the charger with any batteries other than those

supplied. Keep your battery charger clean; foreign objects or dirt may

cause a short or block air vents. Failure to follow these instructions may

cause overheating or ﬁre

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its

service agent or similarly qualiﬁed persons in order to avoid a hazard

• Examine the battery charger regularly for damage, especially the cord, plug

and enclosure. If the battery charger is damaged, it must not be used until

it has been repaired

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with

the appliance

Warning: Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries

Use batteries correctly

• Only charge batteries using the charger provided. Only use batteries

provided with this power tool, or others recommended by the supplier.

Keep batteries clean; foreign objects or dirt may cause a short. Allow

batteries to cool for 15 minutes after charging or heavy use. Failure to

follow these instructions may cause overheating or ﬁre.

• When not in use batteries should be stored at room temperature (approx

20˚C). Ensure that batteries cannot accidentally short in storage.

Battery and charger safety features

The battery and charger are ﬁtted with a number of safety features which may

be triggered during charging or operation:

• Over-charge protection: Charger automatically switches off when

the battery has reached full charge capacity, protecting the internal

components of the battery

• Over-discharge protection: Prevents the battery from discharging beyond

the recommended lowest safety voltage

• Over-heat protection: Sensor switches off if the battery becomes too

hot during operation. This can happen if the tool is overloaded or being

used for extended periods of time. Up to 30 minutes cooling time may be

required depending on the ambient temperature

• Overload protection: Battery temporarily stops if it is overloaded or the

maximum current draw is exceeded, protecting the internal components.

The battery will resume normal operation when the current draw returns to

a normal safe level. This may take a few seconds

• Short circuit protection: The battery will stop working immediately if a short

circuit occurs, this prevents damage to the battery or tool

WARNING: When used in Australia or New Zealand, it is recommended that

this tool is ALWAYS supplied via Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated

residual current of 30mA or less.

Intended Use

• Cordless oscillating multi-tool designed for cutting and abrasive tasks by

fast oscillation of a blade, ﬁle or sanding pad.

Unpacking Your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its

features and functions

• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any

parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting

to use this tool

Before Use

• The supplied Battery (5) has been shipped in a low-charge condition.

Charge the Battery before use

Battery charger operation

• The Battery Charger (11) and Battery (5) may become warm while

charging. This is normal and does not indicate a problem

• Use the Battery Charger at normal room temperatures whenever possible.

To prevent overheating, do not cover the Battery Charger and do not charge

the Battery in direct sunlight or near sources of heat

If the battery does not charge properly:

• Check current at power outlet by plugging in a lamp or other appliance

• If charging problems persist, have the tool, Battery (5) and Battery Charger

(11) checked by an electrician or a power tool technician

Charging the battery

1. Depress the Battery Release Grips (4) and remove the Battery (5) from the

tool

2. Insert the Battery into the Battery Charger (11). Do not use excessive force

when inserting the Battery. If it does not slide into place easily, it is not

being inserted correctly

3. Initially only the green LED may ﬂash as it evaluates the status of the

Battery. When charging the red LED will illuminate and the green LED will

be OFF

4. When the Battery is fully charged the red LED will be OFF and the green

LED will illuminate

5. The Battery Charger will constantly monitor the condition of the Battery

when charging

6. Remove the Battery as soon as possible when completely charged

7. Disconnect the Battery Charger from the power supply and store in a clean,

dry environment out of the reach of children

• Normal battery charging time is approximately 1 hour for a recently fully

discharged battery at normal temperature. Charging times will vary outside

these conditions

• The Battery does not need to be fully discharged before recharging but a

fully charged Battery must not be charged

• You can interrupt charging at any point to use the Battery. Under normal

conditions the Battery Charger charges at a higher rate but reduces the

charging rate as the Battery becomes fully charged. An 80% charge is

achieved after 1/2hr of charging

3.0Ah High Capacity Battery (optional accessory)

• A high capacity battery is available that provides double the capacity. It

also allows the tool to stand vertically which may be advantageous for

some uses. Please note the full charging time will be approximately 2

hours for the high capacity battery

Note: If the lights on the Battery Charger fail to illuminate according to the

chart above or indicate a fault condition:

• Check the Battery is ﬁrmly seated in the Battery Charger

• Check all connections and that mains power is switched on

Initial charge

• The initial charge will vary depending on the existing charge in the Battery.

Allow the Battery to reach full charge as indicated on the Battery Charger

• After discharging, recharge the Battery completely, as indicated by the LED

on the Battery Charger, for the next 4 to 5 uses. This will ensure that the

Battery is performing to its highest capacity

• Subsequent full charges will take approximately 1 hour. However, the

Battery can be recharged when the Battery is only partially discharged

Re-charging the battery

• After use, a li-ion battery must be allowed to cool down before charging

• If a hot battery is inserted into the charger both LEDs will illuminate. The

charger will begin to charge when the battery has cooled sufﬁciently (this

may take several minutes)

Installing the battery

• The Battery should ﬁt easily into the Battery Charger. If the Battery is

difﬁcult to ﬁt, check the condition of the Battery and contacts

Battery - length of service

• The length of service from each charging cycle will depend on the type of

workload. The Battery Charger and Battery for this tool have been designed

to provide a long trouble-free working life. The Battery Charger intelligently

monitors the condition of the Battery and selects the ideal charging rate for

the condition of the Battery. It protects the Battery from over-charging or

charging at too high a rate. However, like all batteries, performance will be

reduced over time

To maximise battery life:

• Store and charge the Battery in a cool area. Temperatures above or below

normal room temperature will reduce battery life

• Never store li-ion batteries in a discharged condition. Recharge them

immediately after they are discharged. For storing long term, store fully

charged

• All batteries gradually lose their charge, even li-ion batteries, but the

discharge rate is very low. If the tool is stored for long periods of

time without use, recharge the battery every three to four months and

disconnect the battery from the power tool before it is stored. This practice

will prevent the li-ion battery being damaged when stored

WARNING: Always wear suitable gloves when handling sharp blades

1. Remove the Battery if ﬁtted

2. Use the supplied Blade Hex Key (15) to loosen and remove the Blade Bolt

(14) and Blade Washer (13), turning the bolt anti-clockwise as you face the

bolt head as shown in Fig A

3. Position the blade or scraper on to the Blade Mounting (9) so that the

mounting holes in the blade engage with the pins on the Blade Mounting.

See Fig B

4. The blade or scraper can be positioned at an angle not directly in line with

the tool if required, so long as the blade or scraper mounting holes are

engaged with the pins on the Blade Mounting

5. Re-ﬁt the Blade Bolt and Blade Washer as shown in Fig B carefully ensuring

the blade or scraper correctly sits in the Blade Mounting pins as the bolt is

tightened. The blade or scraper and Blade Mounting can be damaged if the

pins are not inserted into the Blade Mounting holes

6. Check that the blade or scraper is securely ﬁtted and the bolt is tight

before reﬁtting the Battery

Note: Blades or scrapers that are cranked or bent must be mounted on the tool

so that the end of the blade is away from the tool as shown in Fig. B

Fitting the sanding pad and paper

1. Remove the Battery if ﬁtted

2. Use the supplied Blade Hex Key (15) to loosen and remove the Blade Bolt

(14) and Blade Washer (13) turning the bolt anti-clockwise as you face the

bolt head as shown in Fig A

3. Mount the Sanding Pad (17) onto the Blade Mounting (9) so that the

mounting holes in the Sanding Pad engage with the pins on the Blade

Mounting. See Fig C

4. The Sanding Pad can be positioned at an angle if required but normally a

point of the triangle base is directly in line with the body of the tool

5. Re-ﬁt the Blade Bolt and Blade Washer as shown in Fig C carefully ensuring

the Sanding Pad correctly sits in the Blade Mounting pins as you tighten

the bolt. The Sanding Pad and Blade Mounting can be damaged if the pins

are not inserted into the Blade Mounting holes

6. Before using the tool, check that the Sanding Pad is securely ﬁtted and the

bolt is tight

7. Select the required sanding sheet for your intended task. Each sheet is

marked with its grit level on the reverse side. A lower grit number means

that the sanding sheet has a coarser grit and so is more abrasive

8. The Sanding Pad and sanding sheets use a hook and loop system for

attachment. To mount the sheet carefully line up one corner of the sheet

with a corner of the Sanding Pad and gradually allow the rest of the sheet

to contact the pad checking alignment as you do so until the sheet is ﬁtted

correctly. See Fig. D

Operation

Built-In Safety Features

IMPORTANT: The oscillating multi-tool has 3 important safety features which

will prevent the tool from operating under certain circumstances.

1. Cell Protection: If the battery charge is very low the tool will stop operating

to prevent the battery being fully discharged which will damage li-ion

batteries

2. Over Heat Protection: If the battery or tool temperature is too high the tool

will switch off to prevent damage to the battery pack and tool

3. Over Current Protection: If excessive current is being drawn from the

battery then the tool will switch off to prevent damage to the battery pack

and tool

It is recommended to swap batteries before the current battery is fully

discharged to prevent the tool from powering down in use. Allow the tool to

cool between uses to prevent it getting too hot and do not apply force when

operating the tool but let the blade or sanding base do the work. This should

reduce the possibility of the tool powering down as you operate it.

Note: The tool may take up to 30 minutes to reset before it operates again if

over-heat protection has operated and up to a minute if over current protection

has operated.

Switching On and Off

Note: Gloves should be worn when operating this tool. Anti-vibration gloves

are recommended to protect users from the vibration level of the oscillating

mechanism.

1. Hold the tool ﬁrmly as shown in Fig. E with the thumb over the On/Off Switch

2. Slide the On/Off Button (1) forward to switch on the tool

3. Adjust the speed using the Variable Speed Control (3). It is a fully variable

control but six speed settings are printed on the wheel for the operator’s

reference

4. Operate the tool as required

WARNING: Do not operate the tool at maximum speed for extended periods.

Notes:

• Allow the tool to reach the required speed before making contact with the

workpiece

• Always remove the tool from the workpiece when changing speed

• After use slide the On/Off Switch back to turn off the tool

• It is good practice to set the Variable Speed Control to the minimum level

after use

• A high speed setting is required for most cutting and sanding operations

• A low speed setting may be required for polishing and careful detail

sanding with a high grit sanding sheet

WARNING: Motor Vents (2) allow heat generated from the motor to escape

the body of the tool and must not become blocked. Dust, wood chippings and

swarf can block the Motor Vents and cause the tool to shut down when the

over-temperature protection operates. Swarf, created when cutting metal, can

also cause permanent damage if it enters the tool. Do not allow dust, wood

chippings and swarf to build up. Use a vacuum cleaner to keep the work

space clean, especially in conﬁned areas.

WARNING: DO NOT inhale dust.Wear adequate breathing protection. Some

dusts may be toxic especially from man-made composite materials.

Sawing

• Ensure the saw blade is sharp and in good condition

• Do not use saw blades that are damaged or deformed in any way

• When sawing light building materials, follow the recommendations of the

material suppliers

• Apply plunge cuts to soft materials ONLY, for example wood, gypsum

plasterboard etc. (Fig. F)

• If using saw blades not designed for cutting metal, ensure there are

no nails or screws embedded in the workpiece. If necessary, remove

embedded objects or use metal cutting saw blades instead

Sanding

• The removal rate and the sanding pattern are determined by the type of

sanding sheet, the preset oscillation rate and the applied pressure

• Only ﬂawless sanding sheets achieve good sanding capacity and extend

the service life of the machine

• Pay particular attention to applying uniform sanding pressure; this

increases the working life of the sanding sheets

• Intensifying the sanding pressure will not lead to an increase of the sanding

capacity, but to increased wear of the machine and the sanding sheet

• For precise on-the-spot sanding of edges, corners and hard to reach areas,

it is also possible to work only with the tip or an edge of the sanding plate

(Fig. G)

• A sanding sheet that has been used for sanding metal should not be used

for sanding other materials

• Regularly brush down or vacuum the surface being sanded to ensure the

sanding sheet is in direct contact with the surface

Scraping

• For scraping (Fig. H), select a high speed setting

• On soft surfaces (e.g. wood), work at a ﬂat angle and apply only light

pressure so that the scraper does not cut into the surface

Algemene veiligheid voor

elektrisch gereedschap

WAARSCHUWING: Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften.

Het niet opvolgen van alle voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan

resulteren in een elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel.

WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen

met een verminderde mentale of fysieke bekwaamheid of een gebrek aan

ervaring.

Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.

De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen

heeft betrekking op uw elektrische gereedschap dat op de stroom is

aangesloten (met een snoer) of met een accu wordt gevoed (snoerloos).

Veiligheid in de werkruimte

a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting.

Rommelige en donkere ruimtes leiden vaak tot ongelukken.

b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve omgevingen,

bijvoorbeeld in de aanwezigheid van ontvlambare vloeistoffen,

gassen of stof. Elektrisch gereedschap brengt vonken teweeg die stof of

dampen kunnen doen ontbranden.

c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch

gereedschap bedient. Door aﬂeiding kunt u de controle over het

gereedschap verliezen.

Elektrische veiligheid

a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten passen bij het

stopcontact. Pas de stekker niet aan. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers

bij geaard elektrisch gereedschap. Het gebruik van ongewijzigde

stekkers en passende stopcontacten vermindert het risico op een

elektrische schok.

b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken zoals pijpen,

radiatoren, fornuizen en koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische

schok neemt toe als uw lichaam geaard wordt.

c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden. Wanneer elektrisch

gereedschap nat wordt, neemt het risico op een elektrische schok toe.

d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit om het elektrisch

gereedschap te dragen, te trekken of om de stekker uit het

stopcontact te trekken. Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie,

scherpe randen of bewegende delen. Een beschadigd of in de knoop

geraakt snoeren verhoogt het risico op een elektrische schok toe.

e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt, maak dan

gebruik van een verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik

buitenshuis. Gebruik een verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik

buitenshuis om het risico op een elektrische schok te verminderen.

f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken

in een vochtige omgeving, gebruik dan een energiebron met een

aardlek beveiliging (Residual Currency Device). Het gebruik van een

RCD vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.

Persoonlijke veiligheid

a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch

gereedschap bedient. Gebruik het elektrisch gereedschap niet

wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder invloed van drugs, alcohol

of medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van elektrisch

gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.

b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een

veiligheidsbril. Passende bescherming voor de omstandigheden,

zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende veiligheidsschoenen een helm of

gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk letsel.

c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt gestart.

Controleer of de schakelaar in de ‘uit’ stand staat voordat u

de stekker in het stopcontact steekt. Het dragen van elektrisch

gereedschap met uw vinger op de schakelaar of het aansluiten op de

stroom van elektrisch gereedschap met de schakelaar ingeschakeld kan

tot ongelukken leiden.

d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische

gereedschap inschakelt. Een moer- of stelsleutel die zich op een

draaiend onderdeel van het elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden

tot letsel.

e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer

controle over het elektrische gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.

f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of

sieraden. Houd haren, kleding en handschoenen uit de buurt van

bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding, sieraden en los hangende

haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.

g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden

meegeleverd, sluit deze dan aan en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze.

Het gebruik van deze onderdelen kan het risico op stof gerelateerde

ongelukken verminderen.

Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap

a) Laad de accu enkel met de bijgeleverde oplader op. Een oplader,

geschikt voor de ene accu, creëert mogelijk een brandgevaar wanneer

gebruikt met een andere accu

b) Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap enkel met speciﬁek bestemde

accu’s. Het gebruik van andere accu’s resulteert mogelijk in brand en

serieus persoonlijk letsel

c) Wanneer een accu niet gebruik is, houdt u deze uit de buurt van

metalen objecten als paperclips, munten, sleutels, spijkers, etc., die

de polen met elkaar kunnen verbinden. Het kortsluiten van de accu

resulteert mogelijk in brand

d) Bij misbruik lekt vloeistof mogelijk uit de accu ; voorkom contact.

Wanneer u de vloeistof per ongeluk aanraakt, spoelt u onmiddellijk

met water. Wanneer de vloeistof in de ogen terecht komt tracht u

medische hulp. Accuvloeistof veroorzaakt mogelijk brandplekken en

irritatie

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de machine in Australië of Nieuw-Zeeland

gebruikt wordt, met een lekstroom van 30 mA of lager, is het gebruik van een

aardlekschakelaar aanbevolen

Onderhoud

a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een

gekwaliﬁceerde vakman en gebruik alleen identieke

vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van dat de veiligheid van het

elektrische gereedschap gewaarborgd blijft.

WAARSCHUWING: Voordat u de machine op de stroombron aansluit controleert

u of het voltage van de stroombron overeenkomt met het voltage op het

gegevensplaatje op de machine. Een stroombron met een hogere spanning

kan zorgen voor ernstige verwondingen aan de gebruiken en schade aan de

machine. Een stroombron met een lagere spanning kan de motor beschadigen.

Plug de stekker bij twijfel niet in de stroombron.

Veiligheid multifunctionele machines

Algemene veiligheid voor multifunctionele, gesnoerde en snoerloze, roterende

en oscillerende handmachines

WAARSCHUWING: Aanraking met elektrische- of gasleidingen resulteert

mogelijk in brand, elektrische schok en explosies. Het doorboren van

waterleidingen resulteert mogelijk in eigendom beschadiging en elektrische

schok. Controleer de aanwezigheid van leidingen met behulp van geschikte

detectors. Ben voorzichtig bij het maken van blinde- en invalsneden, waarbij

het uitgangspunt van het blad of accessoire niet zichtbaar is

WAARSCHUWING: Sommige materialen en coatings in ouderen gebouwen

bevatten mogelijk asbest en dienen voorzichtig gehanteerd te worden.

Wanneer de aanwezigheid van asbest verwacht of ontdekt wordt, neemt u

onmiddellijk contact op met uw plaatselijke gezondheidsdienst voor advies

betreft de verwijdering. De hulp van een specialist is mogelijk vereist

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer een metalen accessoire in contact komt met een

stroomdraad, komen de metalen onderdelen van de machine mogelijk onder

stroom te staan wat de gebruiker een schok kan geven. Houdt de machine

tijdens gebruik te allen tijde bij de geïsoleerde grip vast

WAARSCHUWING: Werk NIET op vochtige/natte materialen en gebruik geen

accessoires die vloeibare koelmiddelen vereisen. Ingaande vloeistoffen

veroorzaken een elektrisch gevaar en vernielen de machine

WAARSCHUWING: Stof wat ontstaat bij het gebruik van de machine is mogelijk

schadelijk. Beuk, eik, teak, natuurlijk hout, kunstmatig hout en bepaalde

behandelingen als verf en lak zijn giftig. Verf op loodbasis is gebruikelijk in

gebouwen uit het jaar 1960 en eerder. Het dragen van een geschikt stofmasker

is verplicht. Gebruik een stof ontginningssysteem om de ophoping van stof te

voorkomen. De meeste stoffen veroorzaken een brandgevaar

• Bij het verwisselen van accessoires is het dragen van beschermende

handschoenen verplicht. Sommige bladen en accessoires zijn erg scherp.

Geef accessoires na gebruik tijd om af te koelen

• Houd uw werkplaats schoon. Verschillende materiaalstoffen, als hout

en metaal stof, zijn ontvlambaar. Stof van lichte legeringen, waaronder

magnesium, branden of exploderen gemakkelijk

• Behandel het werkoppervlak niet me oplosmiddel bevattende vloeistoffen.

Wanneer deze stoffen tijdens het gebruik van de machine heet worden,

vliegen deze mogelijk in vlam of ontstaan giftige dampen

WAARSCHUWING: Bevestig geen accessores met een maximale snelheid,

lager dan de onbelaste snelheid van de machine

• Vervang accessoires of voer onderhoud enkel uit met de machine

ontkoppeld van de stroombron. Ben uiterst voorzichtig wanneer de

machine voorzien is van een vaste, geladen accu

• Gebruik accessoires die aan de speciﬁcaties van de machine voldoen.

Accessoires dienen compatibel te zijn in maat en snelheid. Behandel

geen dikkere materialen dan de maximale capaciteit van de machine (zie:

‘Speciﬁcaties’)

• Maak enkel gebruik van een adapter voor afwijkende accessoires of

bladen wanneer de adapter speciaal ontworpen is voor de machine of

goedgekeurd is door de fabrikant

• Pas accessoires NIET aan zodat deze gebruikt kunnen worden voor

machine waarvoor de accessoires niet bedoeld zijn

• Gebruik geen beschadigde, gebogen, gebroken, verroeste of versleten

accessoires. Deze accessoires kunnen tijdens gebruik verder

beschadigden, wat mogelijk resulteert in gebruikersletsel. Controleer

accessoires voor elk gebruik en gooi ze onmiddellijk weg wanneer deze in

slechte staat verkeren. Maak enkel gebruik van scherpe bladen

• Zorg ervoor dat accessoires juist op de machine bevestigd zijn en dat de

bevestigingshulpmiddelen voor gebruik verwijdert zijn

• Probeer vastgelopen bladen/accessoires niet te bevrijden voordat de

machine ontkoppeld is van de stroombron

• Inspecteer het werkstuk voor gebruik of het geschikt is voor het

te gebruiken accessoire. Verwijder spijkers, nietjes en andere

bevestigingsmiddelen voordat u het werk start

• Klem het werkstuk stevig op de werkbank vast

• Zorg voor een goede verlichting. Wanneer uw zicht op het werkstuk slecht

is, versterkt en verplaatst u de verlichting. Neem uw veiligheidsbril nooit af

• Gebruik de machine niet in de buurt van ontvlambare materialen. Vonken

van metaal snijden veroorzaken vaak zaagsel brand

• Wanneer accu’s buiten opgeladen dienen te worden, beschermd u de

stroombron en de oplader tegen slechte weersomstandigheden

• Start de machine en laat deze op volledige snelheid komen voordat u

de machine in contact brengt met het werkstuk. Pas de snelheid van de

machine met behulp van het controlewiel, naar het te gebruiken accessoire

aan

• Oefen geen overmatige druk op de machine uit. Laat de machine en het

accessoire het werk doen. Zo behoud u een optimale grip op de machine

wanneer deze door het materiaal breekt en minimaliseert u de slijtage

wat de levensduur maximaliseert. Een overmatige druk buigt en draait het

accessoire mogelijk wat mogelijk resulteert in breuk en persoonlijk letsel.

Houd de machine wanneer mogelijk met twee handen vast en hanteer de

machine voorzichtig

• Zagen, snijden en schuren produceren warmte. Dit heeft een mogelijk

effect op het werkstuk en de machine. Houd het warmteniveau in de gaten

en schakel de machine wanneer nodig uit om de machine te laten afkoelen

voordat u het werk hervat. Sommige machines koelen sneller af door deze

op volle snelheid, onbelast te laten draaien

• Stof wordt via de ventilatiegaten mogelijk in de machine gezogen, wat kan

resulteren in elektrische gevaren wat de machine vernield. Minimaliseer

het stof/zaagsel niveau in de werkplaats en hout de ventilatiegaten vrij

• Houdt het stroomsnoer te allen tijde achter de machine en uit de buurt van

het bewegende accessoire

• Reik niet onder het werkstuk, steun het werkstuk niet op uw lijf en houdt

het werkstuk tijdens het bewerken niet vast. Bladen en accessoires kunnen

ernstig letsel veroorzaken

• Het dragen van trilling bestendige handschoenen is aanbevolen, vooral bij

langdurig gebruik

• Bij het gebruik van machines met roterende delen is het dragen van

kleding en/of handschoenen met rafelige draden en sieraden verboden.

Loshangende draden kunnen door de delen gegrepen worden waardoor

uw hand in het accessoire getrokken wordt, wat kan resulteren in ernstig

letsel. Draag strakke werkkleding

• Laat schuurvellen niet volledig verslijten. Dit beschadigd de schuurschijf

waardoor delen mogelijk van de schijf afvliegen, wat resulteert in

persoonlijk letsel

• Raak bewegende schuurvellen niet aan

• Draadborstel haren doorboren dunne kleding en huid gemakkelijk. Oefen

niet te veel druk op draadborstels uit

Let op: Gebruik de machine enkel voor doeleinden waarvoor het bedoeld is.

Enige andere gebruiksdoelen worden gezien als misbruik. De gebruiker, niet

de fabrikant, is aansprakelijk voor schade en/of letsel resulterend uit misbruik.

De fabrikant is niet aansprakelijk voor aanpassingen aan de machine en

resulterende schade/letsel

Acculader veiligheid

Juist gebruik van de oplader

• Raadpleeg het deel in deze handleiding wat betrekking heeft op het

gebruik van de oplader, voor het opladen van de accu.

• Gebruik de oplader niet in combinatie met een accu, anders dan die

verstrekt bij de machine. Houd de oplader schoon; stof en/of vuil kan

leiden tot kortsluiting en een verstopte ventilatie wat kan resulteren in

oververhitting en/of brand

• Wanneer het stroomsnoer beschadigt is, laat u deze door de fabrikant

vervangen om gevaren te voorkomen

• Controleer de oplader regelmatig op schade, vooral de stekker en het

stroomsnoer. Wanneer de oplader beschadigd is laat u deze reparen

Waarschuwing: Herlaad geen niet-oplaadbare accu’s

Juist gebruik van de accu

• Laad de accu alleen op met de oplader verstrekt bij de machine. Gebruik

enkel de bijgeleverde accu, of accu’s aangeraden door de leverancier. Houd

uw accu schoon; stof en/of vuil kan leiden tot kortsluiting. Laat de accu,

na het opladen of na lang gebruik, 15 minuten afkoelen. Het falen van het

opvolgen van deze instructies kan leiden tot oververhitting en/of brand.

• Wanneer accu’s niet in gebruik zijn bergt u deze op een droge plek, met

een kamertemperatuur van ± 20 ˚C op. Zorg ervoor dat de accu’s, wanneer

opgeborgen, niet kunnen zorgen voor een kortsluiting.

Accu en oplader veiligheidskenmerken

De accu en de oplader zijn voorzien van een aantal veiligheidskenmerken

welke tijdens opladen of gebruik getriggerd kunnen worden

• Overlading bescherming: De oplader schakelt automatisch uit wanneer

de accu volledig is opgeladen om zo de interne delen van de accu te

beschermen tegen beschadigen

• Ontlading bescherming: Beschermt de accu tegen ontlading verder dan het

aangeraden laagste spanningspunt

• Oververhittingsbescherming: Een ingebouwde sensor schakelt de machine

uit wanneer de accu te heet wordt. Dit kan gebeuren wanneer de belasting

te groot is en wanneer de machine voor langere periode gebruikt wordt.

Afhankelijk van de temperatuur heeft de accu mogelijk een koelperiode van

30 minuten nodig.

• Overbelasting bescherming: De accu stopt tijdelijk wanneer deze wordt

overbelast of wanneer de maximale spanning wordt overschreden om zo

de interne onderdelen te beschermen tegen beschadiging. De accu zal de

werking hervatten wanneer de spanning terug op een veilig niveau komt.

Dit duurt mogelijk een aantal seconden.

• Kortsluiting bescherming: De accu stopt onmiddellijk wanneer kortsluiting

plaats vindt. Dit voorkomt beschadiging aan de accu en de machine.

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de machine in Australië of Nieuw-Zeeland

gebruikt wordt, met een lekstroom van 30 mA of lager, is het gebruik van een

aardlekschakelaar aanbevolen

Gebruiksdoel

De draadloze machine is geschikt voor snij- en schuurwerkzaamheden, met

behulp van snij-, zaag- en schuurbladen en schuurvellen.

Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap

• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle

kenmerken en functies vertrouwd raakt.

• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als

er onderdelen ontbreken of beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen

worden voor u dit toestel / gereedschap gebruikt.

Voor gebruik

• De machine wordt verscheept met een laag geladen accu (5). Laad de accu

voor gebruik volledig op

Oplaad operatie

• De accu (5) en oplader (11) worden tijdens het opladen mogelijk warm. Dit

is normaal en duidt niet op problemen

Gebruik de oplader op normale kamertemperaturen. Om oververhitting te

voorkomen bedekt u de oplader niet en houdt u de oplader buiten direct

zonlicht

Wanneer de accu niet normaal laadt:

• Controleer de spanning van het stopcontact door het aansluiten van

bijvoorbeeld een lamp

• Wanneer het probleem aanhoudt, laat u de machine, de accu en de oplader

door een elektricien of technici nakijken

Het opladen van de accu

1. Druk de accu verlosschakels (4) in en haal de accu van de machine

2. Plaats de accu in de oplader (11). Deze horen soepel samen te klikken

3. Het groene lampje brand mogelijk om zo het laadniveau weer te geven.

Tijdens het opladen brand het rode lampje en dooft het groene lampje.

4. Wanneer de accu volledig is opgeladen dooft het rode lampje en brand het

groene lampje

5. De oplader neemt het laadniveau van de accu constant waar

6. Wanneer de accu is opgeladen haalt u deze onmiddellijk van de oplader

7. Ontkoppel de oplader van de stroombron en berg deze op een schone en

droge plek, buiten het bereik van kinderen op

• De normale oplaadtijd van een accu op normale temperatuur is ongeveer 1

uur. Oplaadtijden verschillen

• Het is niet nodig de accu volledig te ontladen voordat deze opgeladen kan

worden. Een volle accu mag niet verder geladen te worden

• Het laden van de accu kan op elk moment onderbroken worden. Aan het

eind van de laadcyclus laadt de accu minder snel op. Een 80% laadniveau

wordt in ongeveer een half uur bereikt

3,0 Ah hi-cap accu (optioneel accessoire)

Een hi-cap accu met het dubbele vermogen is verkrijgbaar. Deze accu dient

tevens als standaard voor de hoekboormachine. De volledige laadtijd van deze

accu bedraagt ongeveer 2 uur.

Aanvankelijk opladen

• De aanvankelijke oplaadtijd varieert afhankelijk van het laadniveau van de

accu. Laad de accu volledig op

• Voor de eerste 4-5 maal ontlaadt u de accu volledig voordat u deze

oplaadt. Dit maximaliseert de accuprestatie

• Opvolgende ladingen duren ongeveer 1 uur, tenzij de accu niet volledig

ontladen is

Het herladen van de accu

• Een Li-ion accu heeft na gebruik tijd nodig om af te koelen voor deze

opgeladen kan worden

• Wanneer een hete accu op de oplader geplaatst wordt zullen beide lichtjes

branden. Wanneer de oplader is afgekoeld laadt de accu op (dit kan enkele

minuten duren)

Het installeren van de accu

• De accu hoort gemakkelijk in de oplader te klikken. Zo niet controleert u de

accu en de aansluiting

Accu levensduur

• De gebruiksduur van de accu na elke laadcyclus hangt af van de werklast.

Deze accu en oplader zijn ontworpen voor het geven van maximale,

probleemloze levensduur. De oplader houdt de status van de accu constant

in de gaten en selecteert de optimale ladingssnelheid. De accu wordt

beschermd tegen overlading. Zoals elke andere accu zal ook deze accu

uiteindelijk verslijten

Het maximaliseren van de levensduur

• Laad en berg uw accu in een koele ruimte op. Temperaturen boven

normale kamertemperatuur reduceren de levensduur van de accu

• Berg de accu nooit op wanneer deze volledig ontladen is. Laad accu’s

wanneer volledig ontladen gelijk weer op

• Alle accu’s verliezen geleidelijk hun lading. Hoe hoger de opberg

temperatuur des te sneller ontladen accu’s. Wanneer uw machine voor

langere tijd opgeborgen wordt zonder gebruikt te worden, hoort u de

accu elke 3-4 maanden op te laden. Zo wordt de levensduur van de accu

verlengd

Het bevestigen van accessoires

2. Draai de blad bout (14) met behulp van de inbegrepen inbussleutel (15)

linksom los en verwijder de bout en sluitring (13), als afgebeeld in Fig.A

3. Plaats het geschikte blad op de bladbevestiging (9) zodat de pinnen van de

bevestiging in de bevestigingsgaten van het blad vallen, als afgebeeld in

Fig. B

4. Zolang de pinnen van de bladbevestiging in de gaten vallen, kan het blad in

een hoek bevestigd worden

5. Draai de sluitring en blad bout voorzichtig vast, als afgebeeld in Fig. B. Let

op: De bladen en schraper raken mogelijk beschadigd wanneer de pinnen

niet juist in de bevestigingsgaten vallen

6. Controleer of het blad/de schraper goed vast zit voordat u de accu terug op

de machine plaatst

Let op: Gebogen of gedraaide bladen dienen zo gemonteerd te worden, dat het

uiteinde van het blad van de machine afwijst, als afgebeeld in Fig. B

Het bevestigen van het schuurblad en schuurvellen

1. Neem de accu van de machine

2. Draai de blad bout (14) met behulp van de inbegrepen inbussleutel (15)

linksom los en verwijder de bout en sluitring (13), als afgebeeld in Fig.A

3. Plaats het schuurblad (17) op de bladbevestiging (9) zodat de pinnen van

de bevestiging in de bevestigingsgaten van het blad vallen, als afgebeeld in

Fig. C

4. Zolang de pinnen van de bladbevestiging in de gaten vallen, kan het

schuurblad in een hoek bevestigd worden

5. Draai de sluitring en blad bout voorzichtig vast, als afgebeeld in Fig. C. Let

op: Het schuurblad raakt mogelijk beschadigd wanneer de pinnen niet juist

in de bevestigingsgaten vallen

6. Controleer of het blad goed vast zit voordat u de accu terug op de machine

plaatst

7. Selecteer het juiste type schuurvel voor het uit te voeren werk. De

achterzijde van elk schuurvel is gemarkeerd met het korrelgrofte. Een lager

nummer duidt op een grover schuurvel

8. De schuurschijf en schuurvellen zijn voorzien van een klittenband

bevestigingszijde. Lijn de schuurvellen nauwkeurig uit met de schuurschijf

en druk de vellen simpelweg vast, als afgebeeld in Fig. D

Gebruik

Ingebouwde veiligheidsfuncties

BELANGRIJK: De machine is voorzien van 3 belangrijke veiligheidsfuncties.

De functies voorkomen de inschakeling van de machine tijdens bepaalde

omstandigheden

1. Cel bescherming: Wanneer het accuniveau erg laag is, stopt de machine

om de volledige ontlading en beschadiging van de Li-ion accu te

voorkomen

2. Oververhittingsbescherming: Wanneer de accu of de machine tijdens

gebruik te heet worden, stopt de machine om beschadiging van de accu en

de machine te voorkomen

3. Elektrische stroombeveiliging: Bij een overmatige stroomvraag stopt de

machine om beschadiging van de accu en de machine te voorkomen

Het is aanbevolen uw accu te wisselen voordat de gebruikte accu volledig

ontladen is, zodat het maximale vermogen van de machine behouden wordt.

Laat de machine tussen taken in afkoelen om oververhitting te voorkomen

en zorg ervoor dat u niet te veel druk op de machine uitoefent en de machine

het werk laat doen. Zo optimaliseert u het vermogen van de machine tijdens

gebruik.

Let op: Wanneer de oververhittingsbescherming ingrijpt, vereist de machine

een herstelperiode van maximaal 30 minuten voordat de machine weer

gebruikt kan worden. Wanneer de elektrische stroombeveiliging ingrijpt, vereist

de machine een herstelperiode van maximaal 1 minuut voordat de machine

weer gebruikt kan worden

Het in- en uitschakelen van de machine

Let op: Tijdens het gebruik van de machine is het dragen van handschoenen

verplicht. Het dragen van trilling bestendige handschoenen is aanbevolen

1. Houdt de machine stevig vast met uw duim op aan-/uitschakelaar, als

afgebeeld in Fig. E

2. Schuif de aan-/uitschakelaar (1) naar voren om de machine in te schakelen

3. Pas de snelheid met behulp van het snelheidscontrolewiel (3) aan. De

snelheid is volledig variabel. De 6 gedrukte snelheidsstanden dienen als

referentie voor de gebruiker

4. Gebruik de machine als vereist

LET OP: Gebruik de machine niet voor lange periodes op de hoogste

snelheidsinstelling

• Laat de machine op snelheid komen voordat u deze in contact brengt met

het werkstuk

• Neem de machine van het werkstuk voordat u de snelheid aanpast

• Na het gebruik schuift u de aan-/uitschakelaar terug naar achteren

• Het is aanbevolen het snelheidscontrolewiel na gebruik naar de laagste

instelling te draaien

• Een hoge snelheid is vereist voor de meeste zaag en

schuurwerkzaamheden

• Een lage snelheidsinstelling is mogelijk vereist bij polijstwerkzaamheden

en nauwkeurig detailwerk met grove schuurvellen

WAARSCHUWING: Hete lucht wordt via de ventilatiegaten (2) afgevoerd.

De gaten mogen niet verstopt raken. Zaagsel en stof verstoppen de

gaten, waardoor de machine vanzelf uitschakelt door de ingreep van de

oververhittingsbeveiliging. Metaaldeeltjes zorgen voor permanente schade

wanneer deze de machine ingaan. Gebruik een stofzuiger om de werkplaats

schoon te houden

WAARSCHUWING: Draag de geschikte ademhalingsbescherming zodat u het

stof niet inhaleert. Sommige stof is giftig, vooral het stof van kunstmatige

materialen

Zagen

• Zorg ervoor dat het zaagblad scherp is en in goede staat verkeert

• Gebruikt geen beschadigde of enigszins vervormde bladen

• Bij het zagen van lichte bouwmaterialen, volgt u de aanwijzingen van de

materiaalfabrikant op

• Invalsneden zijn ENKEL te maken in zachte materialen als hout, gipsplaat,

etc. (Fig. F)

• Bij het gebruik van zaagbladen die niet geschikt zijn voor het zagen van

metaal, controleert u voor gebruik of het werkstuk vrij is van spijkers en

nietjes. Verwijder metalen voorwerpen in het werkstuk of maak gebruik van

metaal zaagbladen

Schuren

• De afschuursnelheid en het schuurpatroon worden vooral bepaald door het

type schuurpapier, de vooraf ingestelde oscillatiesnelheid en de toegepaste

druk

• Let erop dat u een gelijkmatige schuurdruk uitoefent; hierdoor gaat ook het

schuurpapier langer mee

• Wanneer u de druk vergroot zal de schuurcapaciteit niet toenemen, maar

zullen de machine en het schuurpapier sneller slijten

• Voor het nauwkeurig schuren van randen, hoeken en moeilijk bereikbare

plekken, kunt u ook met de punt of een rand van de schuurplaat werken

(Fig. G)

• Schuurpapier dat gebruikt is voor het schuren van metaal, dient niet voor

andere materialen gebruikt te worden

• Het schuuroppervlak dient regelmatig schoon gezogen of afgeveegd te

worden zodat het schuurvel volledig in contact staat met het werkstuk

Schrapen

• Voor schraapwerkzaamheden (Fig. H) selecteert u een hoge

snelheidsinstelling

• Op zachte materialen (als hout) werkt u op een vlakke hoek en oefent u

slecht een lichte druk uit zodat het blad niet in het werkstuk snijd

Onderhoud

• De machine bestaat uit hoogwaardige componenten en maakt gebruik van

een intelligente stroomkring, wat de machine onderdelen beschermt. Bij

normaal gebruik dient de machine lang mee te gaan

Schoonmaak

• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof kunnen de interne

onderdelen snel doen slijten en zo de levensduur van de machine

verminderen. Maak de behuizing van de machine met een zachte borstel of

een droge doek schoon. Blaas wanneer mogelijk droge perslucht door de

ventilatiegaten van de machine.

Opberging

• Berg de machine en accessoires op een droge en veilige plaats, buiten het

bereik van kinderen op

Verwijdering

Bij de verwijdering van elektrische machines neemt u de nationale

voorschriften in acht.

• Elektrische apparaten en accu’s mogen niet met uw huishoudelijk afval

worden weggegooid

• Neem contact op met uw gemeente voor informatie betreffende de

verwijdering van elektrisch gereedschap en accu’s
