The SP500 is the ultimate laser cutting and engraving system for
processing large format materials with speed and precision.
High-quality, perfectly matched components make the laser cutter
a reliable partner. Lowest maintenance costs, perfect cuts and a

Travelling exhaust
An exhaust is mounted directly on the working
head and removes dust and smoke from the
material surface during processing.
JobControl®
The Trotec laser software supports you perfectly in
handling your cutting and engraving jobs. It is
equipped with a variety of useful and intelligent
features that make your work easier, such as the
bi-directional communication between PC and laser,
the Job Time Calculator or the position marker.
Pass-through
The pass-through enables processing of very long
and bulky parts – up to a work piece size of 1420
mm x ∞. This option makes the SP500 a laser safety
class 4 system.
Gas kit
With the gas kit up to two process gases
(e.g. compressed air, N2) can be optionally
switched on. Like this flame-up can be reduced,
dust transport is improved and the lens is better
protected.
InPack-TechnologyTM
A high-quality cut depends on several factors. The
perfect function of the axis system is most important.
The InPack TechnologyTM, with its closed design, protects
the axis. Consequently guide components are perfectly
protected against dust. This guarantees years of
trouble-free processing even under intensive use.
Additional costs for wear parts that have to be
exchanged regularly with machines from other
manufacturers are thus eliminated.
Air-flushed optics
All optics are air-flushed with clean compressed air during
laser processing. The optics are kept free from dust that
is produced during cutting. This is providing a
maintenance-free operation and a long life.
Lenses
For the SP500 the following lenses are available: 2.0 inch,
2.5 inch, 3.75 inch or 5 inch lens or 2.5 inch clearance
lens.
Camera System for Print&Cut
A precise registration mark recording and cutting path
compensation system detects distortions in printed
materials. The cut path is adjusted automatically, print
and cut perfectly match.
Options

On its 1245 x 710 mm in working area, the SP500 provides plenty space for most standard material formats in
use today. For the SP500 Trotec has developed a unique, multifunctional table concept. Depending on the
application the ideal table can be selected and changed easily and quickly.
Acrylic Cutting Grid Table
The universal cutting table for the reflection-free cutting
of thin acrylics with a thickness up to 8 mm. Like with the
aluminum cutting grid table parts smaller than 100 mm
remain in a flat position after the cut.
Slat Cutting Table
The cutting table with aluminum slats is mainly used
for cutting thicker materials (8 mm thickness) and for
parts wider than 100 mm. Acrylics can be cut with no
reflections by exchanging the aluminum with acrylic
slats. One can reduce the number of supporting points
by removing some of them individually, depending on
the job.
Vacuum Table with Honeycomb Cutting Tabletop
This processing table is especially suitable for applications
that require minimal back reflections and optimum
flatness of the material, like for example the cutting of
membrane switches. The very thin honeycombs are
sensitive in terms of transportation, handling and storage.
Aluminum Cutting Grid Table
This robust, universal cutting table is characterized
by extremely stable combs and a long lifetime. It is
particularly suitable for cutting tasks with parts smaller
than 100 mm, as these remain in a flat position after
the cut. Compared to the cutting table the aluminum
cutting grid table has more supporting points.
