RollerChainCoupling
Tsubaki Roller Chain Couplings can operate even with a slight
misalignment. However, to obtain a maximum service life, please
install using the following procedures. (This installation procedure
should be delivered to the end user.)
チェーンカップリングは心出し誤差が大きいと、軸受を損傷したりカップリン
グの寿命を短くします。ご使用前に本取扱説明書を熟読のうえ、正しくお使
いください。また、この取扱説明書は必ず最後にご使用いただくお客様のお
手元まで届くようにしてください。
1. 本製品の使用に際しては、安全に関する法規（労働安全衛生規
則など）に従ってください。
2. 製品の取り付け取り外し保守点検の際には下記に従ってくださ
い。
1）電源スイッチを切る。
2）落下の恐れのある装置の下には入らない。
3）装置の可動部を動かないように固定する。
4）作業に適した服装、保護具を着用する。
1. ボルトの緩みやケースの破損、チェーンの切断など、
万一に備えて固定カバーを設置してください。
2. カタログに示す最高回転数の 1/3 以上の高速回転でご使用の場
合、角度誤差、偏心誤差は「取付」の項に示す通常の許容誤差
の半分以下に抑えてください。
3. カップリングの点検、取り外しの際は、完全に負荷が作用して
いない状態で行ってください。
1. These instructions must be read and understood prior to product
operation.
2. The following conditions must be fulfilled before and during
installation, removal or maintenance.
1) Turn off any power switches.
2) Do not go underneath any machines or parts of machines that
might fall.
3) Lock all movable parts of the equipment or the machine.
4)Suitable protective clothing and gear must be worn.
1. A protective cover must be provided to prevent any damage that
might be caused by loose bolts, coupling case breakage or
coupling chain breakage.
2. When this product is used at more than 1/3 of the maximum
revolutions specified in the catalog, the parallel alignment and the
angle alignment values must be kept below 1/2 of the specified
value in this procedure.
3. Removal or maintenance of couplings must be performed under
unloaded conditions.

Install the oil seal that comes with the Tsubaki Roller Chain Coupling
Case on one of the sprocket hubs.
When it is mounted vertically,
install oil seal side up.
オイルシールを左右いずれかのスプロケッ
トにはめておきます。取り付け軸が垂直の
場合は、オイルシールが付いたハブを、上
側に取り付けください。
両スプロケットの間にグリースをつめ、チ
ェーンにグリースを塗り、両スプロケット
に巻きつけ、継手ピンで止めます。継手ピ
ンは、オイルシール側より差し込み、反オ
イルシール側にクリップもしくは割りピン
が来るようにセットし、確実に取り付けら
れているかを確認します。
スプロケットの側面を密着させ、角度誤差
を修正します。
許容誤差＝１°（※0.5°）以下
※最高回転速度の1/3以上で使用する場合。
直定規を歯底にあてがい偏心を修正します。
許容誤差＝使用チェーンピッチの２％
（※1％）以下
※最高回転速度の1/3以上で使用する場合。
Align the shafts with the sprocket sides facing each other. The
allowable angle misalignment must be less than 1゜for Tsubaki Roller
Chain Couplings.
（※ Less than 0.5 °）
※
When it is operated more than 1/3 of Max. speed of rotation
（ r/min. ） .
Check the parallel misalignment by measuring the gap between the
bottom teeth of the two sprockets with a thickness gage or any
proper measuring tools.
The allowable parallel misalignment is 2%of the coupling chain pitch.

Fill the gap between the two sprockets with a high quality ball
bearing grease of soft or medium consistency. Also apply grease to
the coupling chain. Wrap the chain around the sprockets. Insert the
joint pin from the oil seal side. Fasten the joint pin with the clip or the
split cotter pin that comes with the Tsubaki Roller Chain Coupling.

2 個の半割りケースにグリースを定量詰めて
割り面を合わせ、ボルトで締め付けます。
この時、ケースのオイルシール側の V 形溝
に、既にスプロケットのハブに取り付けて
あるオイルシールをはめ、ケースの締め付
け側をスプロケットのハブ段部に確実に当
てるようにして、2 個の半ケースの割り面を
合わせます。
Fill each half of the casing with high quality grease. Set each half of
the casing on the sprockets .The groove on the casing face should be
lined up with the oil seal that was installed on the hub. The other side
(fixed side) of the casing should be fit properly with the step on the
hub.

7・4 本（CR16018 以上は 6 本）のボルトを出来るだけ均等に、ケースの
締め付け側がスプロケットのハブに軽く当たるまで締めこみます。両
手でケースの外周をつかみ、少し左右に回してスプロケットのハブ段
部が全周にわたって接触するようにケースをスラスト方向に軽く押し
付けます。
・L 形スパナで各ボルトを締め付けます。この時、両半割りケースのパ
ッキンが均等に圧縮するよう L 形スパナで強く締め込みます。高速回
転や振動のある機械では、ボルトに緩み止め剤を塗布してから締め付
けてください。
Set 4 bolts (6 bolts for CR16018 and up), and tighten equally until
the fixed side of the casing just touches the hub.
Turn and slide the casing by hand to fit the fixed side of the casing
to the step on the hub. Then tighten the bolts until the gaskets are
compressed equally. If the unit will be operated under high-speed
conditions as shown in our catalog, it is recommended that a thread
locking paste/liquid be applied to the bolts.

潤 滑 Lubrication
1. There are three types of lubrication methods indicated in our
catalog.
2. Applying grease to the chain without the coupling case at low
revolutions is acceptable. However, it is recommended to use the
coupling case with grease to obtain longer service life.
3. Grease that is very chemically stable with good lubrication
qualities is recommended.
1.潤滑はカタログの伝動能力表で指示された 3 段階の潤滑形式があります。
2.低速回転域では、グリース塗布でもご使用になれますが、より長寿命でご
使用いただくために、ケースにグリースを充填してご使用になることをお
すすめします。グリース概略充填量は下記のとおりです。

Maintenance
1. Check the condition of the bolts periodically and tighten them if necessary.
2. Change the grease periodically as shown below.
3. If using the unit without a coupling case, apply grease periodically to prevent
rusting.
1.定期的にケースボルトの締め付け状況の確認をしてください。
2.グリースの取り替え時期は以下の通りに行ってください。
3.ケースなしの場合は、錆の発生なきよう定期的にグリースを塗布してください。
１．無償保証期間
工場出荷後 18 ヶ月間または使用開始後（お客様の装置への当社製品の組込み完了時から
起算します）12 ヶ月間のいずれか短い方をもって、当社の無償による保証期間と致します。
２．保証範囲
無償保証期間中に、お客様側にて取扱説明書に準拠する正しい据付・使用方法・保守管
理が行われている場合において、当社製品に生じました故障は、当社製品を当社に返却
いただくことにより、その故障部分の交換または修理を無償で行います。
但し、無償保証の対象は、あくまでお客様にお納めした当社製品単体についてのみであ
り、以下の費用は保証範囲外とさせて頂きます。
⑴お客様の装置から当社製品を交換又は修理のために、取り外したり取り付けたりす
るために要する費用及びこれらに付帯する工事費用。
⑵お客様の装置をお客様の修理工場などへ輸送するために要する費用。
⑶故障や修理に伴うお客様の逸失利益ならびにその他の拡大損害額。
３．有償保証
無償保証期間にもかかわらず、以下の項目が原因で当社製品に故障が発生しました
場合は、有償にて調査・修理を承ります。
⑴お客様が、取扱説明書通りに当社製品を正しく据付けられなかった場合。
⑵お客様の保守管理が不充分であり、正しい取扱が行われていない場合。
⑶当社製品と他の装置との連結に不具合があり故障した場合。
⑷お客様側で改造を加えるなど、当社製品の構造を変更された場合。
⑸当社または当社指定工場以外で修理された場合。
⑹取扱説明書による正しい運転環境以外で当社製品をご使用になった場合。
⑺災害などの不可抗力や第三者の不法行為によって故障した場合。
⑻お客様の装置の不具合が原因で、当社製品に二次的に故障が発生した場合。
⑼お客様から支給を受けて組み込んだ部品や、お客様のご指定により使用した部品な
どが原因で故障した場合。
⑽お客様側での配線不具合やパラメータの設定間違いにより故障した場合。
⑾使用条件によって正常な製品寿命に達した場合。
⑿その他当社の責任以外で損害が発生した場合。
４．当社技術者の派遣
当社製品の調査、調整、試運転時等の技術者派遣などのサービス費用は別途申し受けます。

ShouldanydamageorproblemswiththeGoodsarisewithinthewarrantyperiod,given
thattheGoodswereoperatedandmaintainedaccordingtotheinstructionsprovidedinthe
manual,SellerwillrepairandreplaceatnochargeoncetheGoodsarereturnedtothe
Seller.
Thiswarrantydoesnotincludethefollowing:
1)AnycostsrelatedtoremovalofGoodsfromtheBuyersequipmentormachineto
repairorreplaceparts.
2)CoststotransportBuyersequipmentormachinestotheBuyersrepairshop.
3)Coststoreimburseanyprofitlossduetoanyrepairordamageandconsequentiallosses
causedbytheBuyer.
3. Warrantywithcharge
SellerwillchargeafeeforanyinvestigationandrepairofGoodscausedby:
1)Improperinstallationduetonotproperlyfollowingtheproceduresintheinstruction
manual.
2)InsufficientmaintenanceorimproperoperationbytheBuyer.
3)IncorrectinstallationofGoodstootherequipmentormachines.
4)AnymodificationsoralterationsofGoodsbytheBuyer.
5)AnyrepairbyengineersotherthantheSellerorthosedesignatedbytheSeller.
6)Operationinaninappropriateenvironmentnotspecifiedinthemanual.
7)ForceMajeureorforcesbeyondtheSellerscontrolsuchasnaturaldisastersand
injusticescommittedbyathirdparty.
8)SecondarydamageorproblemsincurredbytheBuyersequipmentormachines.
9)Defectivepartssupplied,orspecifiedbytheBuyer.
10)IncorrectwiringorparametersettingbytheBuyer.
11)TheendoflifecycleoftheGoodsundernormalusage.
12)LossordamagenotliabletotheSeller.
4. Dispatchservice
ServicetodispatchaSellersengineertoinvestigate,adjustortrialtestSellersGoodsis
attheBuyersexpense.
