INSTALLATION
1. Blockthewheelsandsupportthetrailer″A″
framesecurely.
2. Removetheexistingjack.
NOTE:Savetheoriginalnuts,bolts,andwashers
thatcamewiththejackyouarereplacingfor
installingthePhoenix5500ElectricTongueJack.
3. InstalltheElectricTongueJackusingoriginal
nutsandbolts.Dependingonuser’s
personalpreference,alignthemotorheadso
thatthemotorhousingisfacingthefrontof
the“A”frameorsothatthemotorhousingis
facingthedriversideofthetrailer.
4. TheElectricTongueJackwasdesignedto
replaceanexistingmanualjack.Thediameter
oftheoutertubeofyourchosenjack,will
needtomatchtheexistingholesize,oryou
willneedtomodifytheholediametertofit.
5. InstallFuseHolder.BycuttingtheREDwire
loop,theneithercrimpingorsolderingthe
connections,attachoneendtothepositive
postofthetrailerbattery.Theotherendof
thefuseholder’sREDwirewillbeconnected
totheREDwirefromthejack.ThisREDwire
provides12Vpowertojack.
6. ConnecttheREDpositiveleadtothepositive
terminalofthebattery.ConnecttheBLACK
groundwiretonegativeterminalofthe
battery.

operatedbymeansofthetouchpadlocated
nexttothemotorhousing.
3. Toextendjack,push&holdExtendButton.
4. Toretractjack,push&holdRetractButton.
5. TheGREENlightshouldturnonandremain
on
whilejackisinExtend/Retractoperation.
6. IfasteadyREDlightcomesonin
Extend/Retractoperation,alowvoltage
situationexitsandthebatteryneedstobe
fullycharged.
7. IftheREDlightflashesquicklyforthree(3)
seconds,ahighampsituationexitsandjack
willturnoffafterthree(3)seconds.Thejack
willresetitselfinfive(5)secondsandcanbe
usedagainuntilahighampsituationoccurs.
A. Thehighampdrawsituationcanbe
causedbytoomuchload.Reducethe
tongueweightofthetrailer.
B. Thehighampdrawcanalsobecausedby
wornpartsandthejackneedstobe
servicedandownershouldcallUltra‐Fab

newfeatures;Auto‐ExtendandAuto‐Retract.
AUTO‐EXTEND:Allowsusertoextendthejack
legtothegroundwithouthavingtocontinually
pressandholdtheExtendbutton.Thisis
especiallyhelpfulwhendetachingRVfromtow
vehicle.
1. InitiateAuto‐ExtendbypressingtheExtend
Buttonquicklytwotimes.Thejackwill
extendtothegroundandstop.
2. Forwhateverreason,theAuto‐Extendcanbe
cancelledbypressinganyotherbutton.
AUTO‐RETRACT:Allowsusertoretractjackleg
withouthavingtopressandholdtheRetract
button.Thisisespeciallyhelpfulwhenuser
wantstoattachRVtotowvehicle.
1. InitiateAuto‐RetractbypressingtheRetract
Buttonquicklytwotimes.Thejackwill
retracttothetoplimitandstop.
2. Forwhateverreason,theAuto‐Retractcanbe
cancelledbypressinganyotherbutton.

1. Disconnectthefuse.(unscrewandpullapart)
2. Removetwistplugintheaccesshole.(located
topcenterofthehousingcover)

retractandcounterclockwisetoextend.

TRAVELLIMITS
Thejackiscalibratedatthefactoryandisready
forusewhentakenoutofthebox.IFTHEJACK
HASBEENMANUALLYOPERATED,SERVICEDOR
IFTHEJACKISSUSPECTEDTOBEOUTOF
CALIBRATIONFORWHATEVERREASON,THEN
USERSHOULDRECALIBRATETHETRAVELLIMITS.
Tocalibratethetravellimitsofthejack,follow
thesesteps:
1. PressandholdExtend/Retractbuttonfor
three(3)secondsandGREENlightwillflash
three(3)timesindicatingbothbuttonsare
pushed.
2. Afterthree(3)secondstheWHITElightwill
flashindicatingthejackisincalibrationmode.
PressExtendorRetractbuttonsothatthe
endoftheoutertubeislocatedonthetop
edgeofthecalibrationhole(seepartslist
view).
3. PressandholdLIGHTbuttonuntilWHITElight
goesoffindicatingthatthejackisnow
calibrated.Afterthewhitelightgoesoff,the
jackwillimmediatelymove(upordown
aboutᶟ⁄₈”)tosetthelocationsensor.The
calibrationholeshouldnotbevisibleafterthe
locationsensorhasset.
4. JackisnowreadytousebypushingExtendor
Retractbuttons.
TWOMEMORYBUTTONS
(Mem1&Mem2)
Thesecanbeusedtoremembercertainheight
locationssuchashookingandunhookingfrom
towvehicleandasecondmemoryoptionto
rememberasecondheightlocationsuchas
heightrequiredtoattachchainsforaweight
distributinghitch.
Whileunhookingfromthetowvehicle,
Extend/Retractthejacktothedesiredlocation
thatallowsthecouplertoclearthehitchballand
unhookthetrailerfromthetowvehicle.Thisis
thepositionthatjackwillreturntowhilehooking
backuptothetowvehiclebyfollowingthese
steps:
1. PushandholdtheMem1MemoryButtonfor
three(3)secondsandtheGREENlightflashes
three(3)timestosetthememorizedposition
ofthejackatthedesiredheight.
2. OncetheMemorypositionhasbeenset,
pushingtheMem1buttonwilltakethejack
tothememorizedlocation.
3. Oncethejackistravelingtothememory
locationanduserwantstostopthejackfor
whateverreason,pressthememorybutton
againandthejackwillstop.Toresumethe
memoryfunction,pressthememorybutton
andthejackwillproceedtothememory
location.
4. Otherwise,usetheExtendandRetract
buttonstooperatethejack.Thememory
buttonshouldonlybeusedtosetthe
memorylocationandtotraveltothememory
location.
5. Tosetthesecondmemorypositionfollow
steps1through4usingtheMem2button
insteadoftheMem1button.

1. ThisWarrantyismadeonlytothefirstPurchaser(hereinaftercalledthe“OriginalPurchaser”)whoacquiresthisproductfortheirownuse.
2. ThisWarrantywillbeineffectfortwoyearsfromthedateofpurchasebytheOriginalPurchaser.ItissuggestedthattheOriginalPurchaser
retainacopyofthedatedbillofsaleasproofofthedateofpurchase.
3. ThisWarrantycoversonlyspecifiedpartswhichshallbefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipundernormaluse.ThisWarrantydoes
notcoverconditionsunrelatedtothematerialandworkmanshipoftheproduct.Suchunrelatedconditionsinclude,butarenotlimitedto(a)
faultyinstallationandanydamageresultingfromsuch;(b)theneedfornormalmaintenanceandanydamageresultingfromthefailureto
providesuchmaintenance;(c)failuretofollowManufacturer’sinstructionsforuseofthisproduct,and(d)anyaccidentto,ormisuseof,anypart
ofthisproductandanyalterationbyanyoneotherthantheManufactureroritsauthorizedrepresentative.
4. InordertoobtainthebenefitsofthisWarranty,youshouldreturntheproductwhichyoufinddefectivetotheManufacturernamedbelow
duringtheperiodthatthisWarrantyisineffect.AllchargesincurredindeliveryoftheproducttotheManufacturer,andinpickingitupafter
theWarrantyservicehasbeencompleted,mustbepaidbytheOriginalPurchaser.
5. Anyitemreturnedinthemannerdescribedinparagraph4willbeexaminedbytheManufacturer.Ifitisfoundthatthereturneditemwas
defectiveinmaterialorworkmanship,theManufacturerwillrepairitwithoutchargeformaterialandlabor.
6. Ultra‐Fabwillpayfreightonreplacementpartsduringthefirst90daysofownershipbytheOriginalPurchaser.
7. TheManufacturerdoesnotauthorizeanypersonorcompanytocreateanyWarrantyobligationorliabilityontheirbehalf.
