OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - Type 655.01
Read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
CAUTION
• Important: In order to guarantee additional
protection, it is recommended that a differential
breaker with an intervention current not greater
than 30 mA is installed in the electrical system
which feeds the device. For further information,
contact a qualified electrician.
• Make sure the unit is perfectly dry before using it.
• WARNING: Do not use this appliance near
bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels
containing water.
• This appliance can be used by children from 8
years of age and over, and by persons with limited
physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack
the relevant experience and knowledge, if they are
suitably supervised or have been educated to use
the appliance safely and made aware of the
associated risks.
• Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
• Children must not perform cleaning and
maintenance procedures unless supervised.
•Prevent the hot surface on the unit from
coming into contact with the face, neck or any
other parts of the body. Use the unit, holding
it by the handgrip and when changing the
accessories hold them by the plastic guards.
• Allow the metal parts to cool down before
touching them.

•Only connect this unit to alternating current and check that the mains supply voltage corresponds
to that indicated on the unit.
•Never immerse this unit in water or other liquids.
•Do not put this unit down where it could fall into water or other liquids.
•Do not try to pull any electrical appliance out when it has fallen into water - disconnect the plug
from the power socket immediately.
•Make sure the unit is perfectly dry before using it.
•Do not put the appliance on heat sensitive surfaces during use.
•After use always switch the unit off and remove the plug from the power supply socket. Do not pull
on the wire to remove the plug from the power supply socket. Do not pull the plug out of the power
supply socket when your hands are wet.
•Always allow the unit to cool before putting it away and never wrap the cord around the unit.
•Check that the cord has not been damaged from time to time.
•Prevent the cord from coming into contact with the metal parts while these are still hot.
•Use the unit on dry hair.
•Do not use this unit on wigs that have synthetic hair.
•Do not use your unit if it is not working properly. Do not try to repair this electrical unit yourself,
rather contact an authorized technician.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
•When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents
a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
•The elements used to pack the unit (plastic bags, cardboard box, etc.) must be kept out of reach of
children as they are a potential danger to them.
•This unit must only be used for the purposes for which it is expressly intended. Any other use is to
be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for
damage caused by improper or erroneous use.
•Do not use hair spray while the unit is running.
•Keep the plates clean and free of dust, hair spray, styling gel, etc.
•To avoid dangerous overheating, it is advisable to unwind the entire length of the cord.

Switching the appliance on and off
To switch the appliance plug it in and place the switch (fig. 1, ref. 3) in the ON position. To switch it
off, turn the switch (Fig. 1, ref. 3) to OFF and pull the plug out of the socket.
Important:
never leave the appliance unattended when on.
Temperature settings
To set the temperature for use turn the switch (fig. 1, ref. 4) to the desired value.
You can select different temperatures depending on the type of hair to be treated:
up to 150°C for fine, straight hair
up to 180°C for fine, wavy hair
up to 210°C for thick, curly hair
When the light (fig .1, ref .5 ) starts to blink it means the appliance has reached the desired temperature.
OPERATING TIPS:
• Hair that has just been washed and dried can be styled better.
• The first few times you use this unit it is advisable to practice on small areas of your hair.
This appliance is designed to smooth, straighten and style your hair, leaving shinier. To use the
appliance proceed as follows: let the appliance heat until it reaches the desired temperature. Separate
your hair into sections about 5 cm wide. Put one section at a time between the smoothing irons and
close the irons by exerting force on the handles.

To obtain a straightening effect: slide the irons slowly through your hair from the roots to the ends
(fig.2). If necessary repeat this operation until the required effect is created.
To obtain tight or loose curls proceed as shown in figures 3, 4, 5. Let your hair cool before combing
or brushing.
Please note: prolonged and repeated use of the appliance at high temperatures may result in a long-
term straightened effect. This means each individual hair will struggle to regain its natural wave.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always remove the plug from the power socket before beginning to clean the unit!
Let it cool completely before cleaning it.
This unit can be cleaned using a damp cloth, but it must never be immersed in water or any other liquid!
This appliance conforms to European Directives 2004/108/EC, 2009/125/EC,
2006/95/EC and Regulation (EC) No. 1275/2008.
GUARANTEE
VALERA guarantees the appliance you have bought at following conditions:
1. The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined by our dealer in the country of sale. In
Switzerland and in the countries subject to the European directive 44/99/CE the guarantee period is
24 months for domestic use and 12 months for professional or similar use. The guarantee period
starts from the date of purchase as stated on the present guarantee card regularly filled out and
stamped by the dealer or on the sale’s invoice.
2. The guarantee is applicable only against submission of the present guarantee card or the sale’s
invoice.
3. The guarantee covers the elimination of all defects arisen during the guarantee period resulting from
proven faults in material or workmanship. The elimination of the defects will be made either by
repairing the appliance or exchanging it. The guarantee does not cover any damage arising from
incorrect connection to the power supply, improper use, breakage, normal wear and non-compliance
with the Instructions for Use.
4. All other claims of any nature, including those for eventual damages outside of the appliance, are
excluded, unless our liability is legally mandatory.
5. The guarantee service is carried out free of charge; it does not affect the expiry date of the guarantee.
6. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorized persons.
For UK only: this guarantee in no way affects your rights under statutory law.
In case of defect, please return the appliance well packed and together with the guarantee card regularly
dated and stamped to one of our Valera Service Centres or to the dealer who will send it to the official
importer for the guarantee service.

Bitte lesen Sie die folgende Bedienungsanleitung vor dem Gebrauch des Gerätes aufmerksam durch.
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Wichtig: als zusätzlicher Schutz wird die Installation
einer Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung (RCD) mit einem
Bemessungauslösestrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA
im Badezimmerstromkreis empfohlen. Lassen Sie
sich von Ihrem Elektroinstallateur beraten.
•Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät völlig trocken ist,
bevor Sie es benutzen.

Gerät ein- und ausschalten
Um das Gerät einzuschalten, den Stecker in die Steckdose stecken und den Schalter (Abb. 1, Pos. 3)
auf ON stellen. Um das Gerät auszuschalten, den Schalter (Abb. 1, Pos. 3) auf OFF stellen und den
Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
Wichtig:
Das Gerät nicht unbeaufsichtigt eingeschaltet lassen.
Temperaturwahl
Um die Betriebstemperatur einzustellen, den Wahlschalter (Abb. 1, Pos. 4) auf den gewünschten Wert drehen.
Je nach Haartyp können verschiedene Temperaturen gewählt werden:
bis 150°C für feines, glattes Haar
bis 180°C für feines, welliges Haar
bis 210°C für starkes, lockiges Haar
Sobald die Leuchtanzeige (Abb. 1, Pos. 5) beginnt zu blinken, hat das Gerät die gewünschte Temperatur
erreicht.
NÜTZLICHE TIPPS
• Die besten Resultate erzielen Sie mit frisch gewaschenem und trockenem Haar.
• Am besten behandeln Sie am Anfang zunächst kleine Haarpartien.

Dieses Gerät ist zum Entkräuseln, Glätten und Stylen Ihres Haares ausgelegt und verleiht ihm seidigen
Glanz. Gebrauch: Warten, bis das Gerät die gewünschte Temperatur erreicht hat. Teilen Sie das Haar
in ca. 5 cm breite Strähnen. Legen Sie jeweils eine Strähne zwischen die Glätteplatten und schließen
Sie das Gerät, indem Sie die Griffe fest zusammendrücken.
Ziehen Sie die Platten nun langsam von den Haarwurzeln zu den Haarspitzen hin, um die Strähnen zu
glätten. Wiederholen Sie diese Operation ggf. bis zum Erreichen der gewünschten Wirkung.
Die Abbildungen 3, 4 und 5 zeigen, wie das Haar gekräuselt und in Locken gelegt wird.
Lassen Sie das Haar abkühlen, bevor Sie es kämmen oder bürsten.
Wichtig: Der fortgesetzte und wiederholte Gerätegebrauch bei Hochtemperaturen kann einen
langfristigen Effekt des Glätteisens bewirken. In diesen Fällen erlangt das Haar seine natürliche Wellung
nur allmählich zurück.
REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
Ziehen Sie vor dem Reinigen des Geräts immer den Netzstecker!
Das Gerät vor dem Reinigen abkühlen lassen.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch und tauchen Sie es niemals in Wasser
oder andere Flüssigkeiten!
Dieses Gerät erfüllt die Bestimmungen der europäischen Richtlinien 2004/108/EG,
2009/125/EG, 2006/95/EG und der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1275/2008.
GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN
VALERA leistet für dieses Gerät – zusätzlich zu der gesetzlichen Gewährleistung des Händlers aus
Kaufvertrag - dem Endabnehmer gegenüber eine Garantie zu nachstehenden Bedingungen:
1. Für dieses Gerät gelten die Garantiebedingungen unseres Händlers im Verkaufsland. In der Schweiz
und in den Ländern, wo die europäische Verordnung 44/99/CE gilt, beträgt die Garantiezeit 24
Monate bei privatem Gebrauch und 12 Monate bei gewerblichem oder einem solchen
gleichzusetzenden Gebrauch. Die Garantiezeit beginnt am Kauftag des Gerätes, der durch die
ausgefüllte Garantiekarte oder einen sonstigen Kaufbeleg nachzuweisen ist.
2. Die Garantie wird nur bei Vorlage der Garantiekarte oder eines Kaufbeleges geleistet.
3. Die Garantieleistung umfasst die Behebung aller innerhalb der Garantiezeit auftretenden Mängel des
Gerätes, die nachweislich auf Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern beruhen. Die Behebung der Mängel
kann nach unserer Wahl durch Instandsetzung oder durch Umtausch des Gerätes erfolgen. Nicht
unter Garantie fallen Mängel oder Schäden, die durch nicht vorschriftsmässigen elektrischen
Anschluss, durch unsachgemässe Handhabung sowie durch Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanleitung
entstanden sind.
4. Weitere Ansprüche irgendwelcher Art, insbesondere solche auf Ersatz ausserhalb des Gerätes
entstandener Schäden, sind – soweit die Haftung nicht zwingend gesetzlich angeordnet ist –
ausgeschlossen.
5. Die Garantieleistungen werden ohne Berechnung durchgeführt; sie bewirken weder eine
Verlängerung noch einen Neubeginn der Garantiezeit.
6. Diese Garantie erlischt bei Eingriff nicht autorisierter Stellen.
Sollten Sie die Garantie in Anspruch nehmen müssen, dann senden Sie bitte das defekte Gerät gut
verpackt an eine unserer autorisierten Service-Stellen. Vergessen Sie nicht, unbedingt die Garantiekarte
und/oder den Kaufbeleg beizufügen, da ohne diese keine Garantieleistung erfolgen kann.

CONSEILS DE SECURITE
• Important: pour garantir une protection supplé-
mentaire, il est conseillé d’installer dans l’installation
électrique alimentant l’appareil un interrupteur
différentiel avec un courant d’intervention ne
dépassant pas 30 mA. Contactez votre électrote-
chnicien de confiance pour tout renseignement
complémentaire.
•Vérifier que l’appareil soit complètement sec avant
de l’utiliser
•ATTENTION: ne pas utiliser cet appareil à
proximité de baignoires, de lavabos ou autres
récipients contenant de l'eau.
•Il est requit un âge minimum de 8 ans pour
l’utilisation de cet appareil.
•L’utilisation de cet appareil par des personnes aux
capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales
réduites est fortement déconseillée à moins
qu’elles soient surveillées ou qu’elles aient été
instruites correctement quant à l’utilisation de
l’appareil de la part de tiers.
•Cet appareil doit être tenu hors de portée des enfants.
•Evitez le contact des surfaces chaudes de l’appareil
avec le visage, le cou ou d’autres parties du corps.
Maniez l’appareil en le tenant par le manche et
remplacez les accessoires en les saisissant du

•Reliez l’appareil à une prise de courant alternatif et contrôlez que la tension de réseau correspond à
celle indiquée sur l’appareil.
•Ne plongez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau ou autres liquides.
•Evitez de poser l’appareil en un lieu non à l’abri de l’eau ou d’autres liquides.
•Il est interdit de plonger la main dans l’eau pour récupérer l’appareil électrique. Détachez
immédiatement la prise de courant.
•Durant le fonctionnement, ne posez pas l’appareil sur des surfaces sensibles à la chaleur.
•Après l’emploi, éteignez toujours l’appareil et débranchez-le. Ne retirez pas la fiche de la prise de
courant en tirant sur le cordon.
•N’enlevez pas la fiche de la prise de courant avec les mains mouillées.
•Laissez toujours l’appareil refroidir avant de le ranger et n’enroulez jamais le cordon autour de
l’appareil. Contrôlez périodiquement que le cordon n’est pas endommagé.
•Evitez de mettre le cordon d’alimentation en contact avec les pièces en métal lorsque ces dernières
sont encore chaudes.
•Utilisez l’appareil sur des cheveux secs.
•N’utilisez pas l’appareil sur des perruques à cheveux synthétiques.
•N’utilisez pas l’appareil s’il présente des anomalies. N’essayez pas de réparer vous-même l’appareil

Mise en marche et arrêt de l'appareil
Pour mettre l'appareil en marche, introduire la fiche dans la prise de courant et positionner l'interrupteur
(fig. 1, rif. 3) sur ON. Pour l’éteindre, positionner l’interrupteur (Fig.1, rep. 3) sur “0” et débrancher le
cordon d’alimentation de la prise de courant.
Important:
ne pas laisser l'appareil en marche sans surveillance.
Sélection de la température
Pour sélectionner la température, placer le sélecteur (fig. 1, rif. 4) en face de la valeur désirée.
Il est possible de sélectionner la température en fonction du type de cheveux :
jusqu'à 150°C cheveux fins et lisses
jusqu'à 180°C cheveux fins et ondulés
jusqu'à 210°C cheveux épais et frisés
Quand le voyant lumineux (fig.1, réf.5) commence à clignoter, il indique que l'appareil a atteint la
température désirée.
CONSEILS POUR L’EMPLOI
• Les cheveux propres et secs permettent d’obtenir les meilleures coiffures.
• Lorsque vous utilisez l’appareil pour la première fois, exercez-vous sur quelques mèches et non sur
toute la chevelure.

Cet appareil a été étudié spécialement pour défriser, lisser et mettre en plis vos cheveux en leur donnant
un aspect brillant. Avant d'utiliser l'appareil attendre qu'il ait atteint la température désirée. Séparer les
cheveux en mèches de 5 cm environ de large. Placez une mèche à la fois entre les plaques lissantes
et les refermer en serrant fortement le manche d’une main.
Pour obtenir un effet lissant, faites glisser lentement les plaques sur les cheveux en partant de la
racine jusqu’aux pointes (fig. 2). Si cela est nécessaire, répétez l’opération jusqu’à l’obtention de l’effet
désiré.
Pour friser les cheveux ou réaliser de belles boucles, suivez l’exemple des figures 3, 4 et 5.
Laissez les cheveux refroidir avant de les peigner ou de les brosser.
Important: l’effet lissant de la plaque peut persister à long terme si on utilise de façon prolongée et
répétée l’appareil à haute température. Dans ce cas, les cheveux reprennent difficilement leur
mouvement naturel.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
Débranchez l’appareil avant de le nettoyer !
Le laisser refroidir avant de le nettoyer.
Vous pouvez nettoyer votre appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon humide, mais ne l’immergez jamais dans de
l’eau ni dans tout autre liquide !

VALERA garantit l’appareil que vous venez d’acheter aux conditions suivantes:
1. Les conditions de garantie applicables sont celles qui sont définies par notre distributeur officiel

vigueur, la période couverte par la garantie est de 24 mois pour un usage domestique et de 12 mois
pour un usage professionnel ou assimilé. La période de garantie commence à courir à compter
de la date d'achat de ’l'appareil. La date d'achat est la date qui figure sur le présent certificat de
garantie dûment rempli et portant de cachet du vendeur ou sur la facture d'achat.
2. La garantie n’est applicable que sous présentation de ce certificat de garantie ou du document
d’achat.
3. La garantie couvre l’élimination de tous les défauts s’étant vérifiés lors de la période de garantie
dérivant de défauts de matériaux ou de fabrication prouvés. L’élimination des défauts de l’appareil
peut s’effectuer soit en le réparant soit en le remplaçant. La garantie ne couvre pas les défauts ni
les dommages provoqués par un branchement au réseau électrique non conforme aux normes, par
un usage incorrect du produit et par le non-respect des Normes d’Utilisation.
4. Toute autre revendication, de quelque nature que ce soit, est exclue, en particulier celle concernant
le remboursement d’éventuels dommages en dehors de l’appareil, à l’exception de l’éventuelle

5. Le service de garantie est réalisé gratuitement. Il ne représente pas une prolongation ni un nouveau
départ de la période de garantie.
6. La garantie échoit si l’appareil est altéré ou réparé par des personnes non autorisées.
En cas de panne, renvoyer l’appareil correctement emballé avec le certificat de garantie correctement
daté et timbré par le vendeur à l’un de nos Centres d’Assistance agréés ou au magasin d’achat qui
l’enverra à l’importateur officiel pour la réparation sous garantie.
Le symbole sur le produit ou son emballage indique que ce produit ne peut être traité comme
déchet ménager. Il doit être remis au point de collecte prèvu à cet effet (collecte et recyclage du matériel
électrique et électronique). En procédant à la mise à la casse réglementaire de l’appareil, nous

•Collegare l’apparecchio solo a corrente alternata e controllare che la tensione di rete corrisponda a
quella indicata sull’apparecchio.
•Non immergere mai l’apparecchio nell’acqua o in altri liquidi.
•Non appoggiare l’apparecchio in un luogo da cui potrebbe cadere nell’acqua o in altro liquido.
•Non cercare di recuperare un apparecchio elettrico caduto nell’acqua: staccare subito la spina

•Quando l'apparecchio è usato in un bagno, scollegarlo dall'alimentazione elettrica dopo l'uso, perché

Accensione e spegnimento dell’apparecchio
Per accendere l’apparecchio inserire la spina nella presa di corrente e posizionare l’interruttore (fig. 1,
rif. 3) su ON. Per spegnerlo, posizionare l’interruttore (fig.1, rif.3) su OFF e disinserire la spina dalla
presa.
Importante:
non lasciare l’apparecchio incustodito durante il suo funzionamento.
Selezione temperatura
Per selezionare la temperatura d’impiego ruotare il selettore (fig. 1, rif. 4) in corrispondenza del valore
desiderato.
È possibile scegliere differenti temperature a seconda del tipo di capelli da trattare:
fino a 150°C per capelli fini, lisci
fino a 180°C per capelli fini, ondulati
fino a 210°C per capelli grossi, ricci
Quando l’indicatore luminoso (fig.1, rif.5) comincia a lampeggiare significa che l’apparecchio ha
raggiunto la temperatura desiderata.
CONSIGLI PER L’USO
• Capelli appena lavati e asciugati permettono lo styling migliore.
• Le prime volte che si usa l’apparecchio é consigliabile esercitarsi su piccole aree della capigliatura.

Questo apparecchio è stato studiato per raddrizzare e lisciare e mettere in piega i vostri capelli
conferendo ad essi maggiore brillantezza. Per utilizzare l’apparecchio operare come segue: lasciare che
l’apparecchio raggiunga la temperatura desiderata. Separare i capelli in ciocche di ca. 5 cm di larghezza.
Inserire una ciocca alla volta tra le piastre stiranti e richiudere le stesse stringendo con forza i manici.
Per ottenere un effetto lisciante: fare scivolare lentamente le piastre sui capelli partendo dalla base fino
alle punte (fig.2). Se necessario ripetere l’operazione fino al raggiungimento dell’effetto voluto.
Per realizzare ricci e boccoli seguire l’esempio delle figure 3,4,5.
Lasciare raffreddare i capelli prima di pettinare o spazzolare.
Importante: con l’uso prolungato e ripetuto dell’apparecchio ad alte temperature l’effetto lisciante della
piastra può permanere a lungo. In questi casi il capello fatica a tornare alla sua piega naturale.
PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE
Prima di pulire l’apparecchio staccare sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente!
Lasciare raffreddare l’apparecchio prima di procedere alla sua pulizia.
Potete pulire il vostro apparecchio con un panno umido, ma non immergetelo mai nell’acqua o in
qualsiasi altro liquido!

avvenire o riparandolo o sostituendo il prodotto stesso. La garanzia non copre difetti o danni causati

4. È esclusa ogni altra rivendicazione di qualsiasi natura, in particolare di risarcimento di eventuali

•No intente agarrar un aparato eléctrico que esté dentro del agua: desenchúfelo inmediatamente
de la toma de corriente.
•Cuando el aparato esté en marcha, no debe apoyarlo sobre superficies sensibles al calor.
•Cuando termine de usar el aparato, apáguelo y desenchúfelo de la toma de corriente. No desenchufe
el aparato tirando del cable de corriente.
•No desenchufe el aparato con las manos mojadas.
•Antes de guardar el aparato, déjelo enfriar; no enrolle nunca el cable eléctrico alrededor del aparato.
Controle periódicamente que el cable no esté dañado.
•Evite que el cable toque las partes de metal cuando todavía estén calientes.
•Utilice el aparato en cabellos secos.
•No utilice el aparato en pelucas con cabellos sintéticos.
•No utilice el aparato si está averiado. No intente reparar nunca el aparato. Si está averiado, tiene

•Cuando se utilice el aparato en el baño, desenchúfelo una vez que haya terminado. La proximidad

Encendido y apagado del aparato
Para encender el aparato introduzca el enchufe en la toma de corriente y sitúe el interruptor (fig. 1, 3)
en la posición de encendido. Para apagarlo, sitúe el interruptor (fig. 1, ref. 3) en OFF y saque el enchufe
de la toma de corriente.
Importante:
No deje el aparato sin vigilancia durante su funcionamiento.
Selección de temperatura
Para seleccionar la temperatura, gire el selector (fig. 1, ref.4) hasta situarlo en el valor que desee.
Dependiendo del tipo de cabello se pueden seleccionar distintas temperaturas:
hasta 150 °C para cabellos finos y lisos
hasta 180°C para cabellos finos y ondulados
hasta 210°C para cabellos gruesos y rizados
Cuando el indicador luminoso (fig. 1, ref. 5) comienza a parpadear significa que el aparato ha alcanzado
la temperatura seleccionada.
CONSEJOS DE USO
• Los cabellos recién lavados y secados facilitan el moldeado.
• Cuando utilice el aparato por primera vez, practique en áreas pequeñas de cabellos.
Este aparato se ha diseñado para alisar y moldear el cabello y darle más brillo. Para utilizar el aparato
haga lo siguiente: deje que el aparato alcance la temperatura deseada. Separe los cabellos en

Para obtener el efecto de alisado, deslice lentamente la plancha por el cabello, desde la raíz hasta las
puntas (fig. 2). Si es necesario, repita la operación hasta lograr los resultados deseados.
Para conseguir rizos y tirabuzones, siga el ejemplo de las figuras 3, 4 y 5.
Antes de peinar o cepillar los cabellos, déjelos enfriar.
Importante: el uso prolongado y frecuente de la plancha a temperatura alta, aumenta la duración del
efecto de alisado. De este modo, el cabello tiene más dificultad para volver a su ondulado natural.
LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
Siempre que desee limpiar el aparato, desenchúfelo.
Deje enfriar el aparato antes de limpiarlo.
Limpie el aparato con un paño húmedo. No lo sumerja nunca en agua ni en cualquier otro líquido.

5. El servicio de garantía se efectúa sin cargo y no constituye un prolongamiento o un nuevo inicio
del período de garantía.
6. La garantía decae si el aparato se ha alterado, ha sido reparado por personas no autorizadas.
En caso de avería, se debe entregar el aparato bien embalado y con el certificado de garantía regularmente
fechado y sellado por el vendedor, a uno de nuestros Centros de Asistencia autorizados o al vendedor,
quien se encargará de remitirlo al importador oficial para efectuar la reparación de la garantía.
Como consumidor de este artículo, goza Vd. de los derechos que le reconoce la Ley de Garantías en
la Venta de Bienes de Consumo 23/2003 (B.O.E. 11-07-03), en las condiciones que la misma
establece. Recuerde que la fecha acreditada mediante el documento de compra, inicia el período de
dos años previsto en la Ley.

•Controleer voor gebruik van het apparaat of het
goed droog is.
•
LET OP: gebruik dit apparaat niet in de buurt van
badkuipen, wastafels of andere houders met water.
•Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door kinderen
vanaf 8 jaar en door personen met beperkte
lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of
met weinig ervaring en/of kennis, mits deze
personen onder passend toezicht staan of
geïnstrueerd zijn over het gebruik van het apparaat

•Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op wisselstroom en controleer of de netspanning overeenkomt met de
spanning die op het apparaat wordt aangegeven.
•Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of andere vloeistoffen.
•Leg het apparaat nooit op een plek waar het gemakkelijk in water of andere vloeistoffen kan vallen.
•Probeer nooit een elektrisch apparaat dat in water is gevallen, eruit te halen: trek meteen de
stekker uit het stopcontact.
•Plaats het apparaat tijdens het gebruik niet op oppervlakken die niet hittebestendig zijn.
•Schakel het apparaat na gebruik altijd uit en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact. Trek niet aan de
kabel wanneer u de stekker uit het stopcontact haalt.
•Haal de stekker niet met natte handen uit het stopcontact.
•Laat het apparaat altijd afkoelen voordat u het opbergt en wikkel het snoer nooit om het apparaat.
Controleer regelmatig of de kabel niet beschadigd is.
•Laat de kabel niet met de metalen delen in aanraking komen als deze nog warm zijn.
•Gebruik het apparaat met droog haar.
•Gebruik het apparaat niet bij pruiken met haren van synthetisch materiaal.
•Gebruik uw apparaat niet als het niet goed functioneert. Probeer het elektrische apparaat niet zelf te
repareren, maar wend u tot een erkende technicus. Als het netsnoer beschadigd is, moet het worden
vervangen door de fabrikant, de onderhoudsdienst of in elk geval door een persoon met een
vergelijkbare kwalificatie om elk risico uit te sluiten.
•Als het toestel in een badkamer wordt gebruikt, moet na gebruik de stekker uit het stopcontact
worden genomen, aangezien de aanwezigheid van water altijd gevaar oplevert, zelfs wanneer het
toestel is uitgeschakeld.
•Houd de verpakkingsmaterialen (plastic zakjes, kartonnen doos, enz.) buiten het bereik van kinderen
omdat zij een mogelijke bron van gevaar vormen.
•Dit apparaat mag uitsluitend gebruikt worden voor de doeleinden waarvoor het uitdrukkelijk is
ontworpen. Ieder ander gebruik is oneigenlijk, en dus gevaarlijk. De fabrikant is niet aansprakelijk voor
eventuele schade die veroorzaakt wordt door het oneigenlijk of onjuist gebruik.
•Gebruik geen haarsprays bij een ingeschakeld apparaat.
•Houd de elementen goed schoon, vrij van stof, haarsprays, haargels, enz.
•Om gevaar voor oververhitting te voorkomen, raden wij u aan de voedingskabel over de gehele lengte
uit te rollen.

Aan- en uitzetten van het apparaat
Steek de stekker in het stopcontact en zet de schakelaar (fig. 1, nr. 3) in de stand ON om het apparaat
in te schakelen.
Zet de schakelaar (fig. 1, nr. 3) in de stand OFF en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact om het apparaat
uit te schakelen.
Belangrijk:
Laat het apparaat nooit ingeschakeld als u er niet zelf bij bent.
Instellen van de temperatuur
Om de gebruikstemperatuur in te stellen draait u de stelknop (fig. 1, nr. 4) in de stand die overeenkomt
met de gewenste temperatuur.
U kunt de temperatuur afstemmen op het soort haar dat u gaat behandelen.
Tot 150°C voor fijn en glad haar
Tot 180°C voor fijn en golvend haar
Tot 210°C voor dik haar en krullen
Wanneer het lampje (fig.1, nr.5) begint te knipperen betekent dit dat het apparaat de juiste temperatuur
heeft bereikt.
ADVIEZEN VOOR HET GEBRUIK
• Net gewassen en gedroogd haar kunnen beter worden in model worden gebracht.
• De eerste keren dat u het apparaat gebruikt, is het raadzaam met kleine haarlokken te oefenen.

Het symbool op het product of op de verpakking wijst erop dat dit product niet als huisafval mag
worden behandeld. Het moet echter naar een plaats worden gebracht waar elektrische en elektronische
apparatuur wordt gerecycled. Als u ervoor zorgt dat dit product op de correcte manier wordt verwijderd,
voorkomt u mogelijk voor mens en milieu negatieve gevolgen die zich zouden kunnen voordoen in
geval van verkeerde afvalbehandeling. Voor meer details in verband met het recyclen van dit product,
neemt u het best contact op met de gemeentelijke instanties, het bedrijf of de dienst belast met het
verwijderen van huishoudafval of de winkel waar u het product hebt gekocht.
Dit apparaat is ontworpen om uw haar recht en glad in model te strijken en het extra mooi te laten
glanzen. Om het apparaat te gebruiken gaat u te werk als volgt: laat het apparaat op de gewenste
temperatuur komen. Verdeel het haar in lokken van ongeveer 5 cm breed. Steek één lok per keer tussen
de elementen en sluit ze door de handgrepen met kracht samen te knijpen.
Om glad haar te verkrijgen, laat u de elementen langzaam vanaf de wortels tot de punten over het haar
glijden (fig. 2). Herhaal deze handeling zo nodig totdat u het gewenste resultaat heeft bereikt.
Om krullen of krullende lokken te maken doet u zoals aangegeven in fig. 3, 4 en 5.
Laat het haar afkoelen voordat u het kamt of borstelt.
Belangrijk: bij langdurig en herhaaldelijk gebruik van het apparaat op hoge temperaturen kan het
gladmakende effect van de plaat lang voortduren. In deze gevallen vindt het haar zijn natuurlijke model
met moeite terug.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
Haal de stekker altijd uit het stopcontact voordat u het apparaat schoonmaakt!
Laat het apparaat goed afkoelen voor u het reinigt.
U kunt uw apparaat met een vochtige doek schoonmaken, maar dompel het nooit onder in water of in
een andere vloeistof!
Dit apparaat voldoet aan de Europese richtlijnen 2004/108/EG, 2009/125/EG,
2006/95/EG en aan de verordening (EG) nr. 1275/2008.
GARANTIE
Valera biedt volgende garantievoorwaarden:
1 Van toepassing zijn de garantievoorwaarden die door onze officiële distributeur in het land van
aankoop zijn vastgesteld. In Zwitserland en in de landen waar de Europese richtlijn 44/99/CE van
kracht is, geldt een garantieperiode van 24 maanden bij huishoudelijk gebruik en van 12 maanden
bij professioneel of soortgelijk gebruik. De garantieperiode loopt vanaf de aankoopdatum van het
apparaat. De aankoopdatum is de datum die staat op dit volledig ingevulde en door de verkoper
gestempelde garantiebewijs of op de aankoopbon.
2. De garantie is enkel van toepassing na voorlegging van het certificaat of het bewijs van aankoop.
3. De garantie dekt het verwijderen van bewezen materiaal- of fabricagefouten, tijdens de
garantieperiode. Dit kan gebeuren door reparatie of vervanging van het toestel. De garantie is niet
van toepassing in geval van schade door aansluiting op een netwerk dat niet aan de officiële normen
voldoet, noch in geval van niet naleven van de gebruiksaanwijzing.
4. Elke andere schadeclaim van welke aard dan ook is uitgesloten, in het bijzonder terugbetaling van
schade veroorzaakt door externe factoren, buiten degenen die uitdrukkelijk bepaald zijn door de van
kracht zijnde wetgeving.
5. De garantie-service is gratis. Deze vertegenwoordigt geen enkele verlenging noch vernieuwing van
de garantie periode.
6. De garantie vervalt indien het toestel vervalst is of gerepareerd werd door een niet erkende persoon.
In geval van defect, gelieve het toestel behoorlijk verpakt, samen met het garantiebewijs (gedateerd en
voorzien van de stempel van de verkoper) terug te sturen naar één van de officiële Service Centra, of
te bezorgen aan de winkel waar het toestel werd aangekocht. Zij zullen het nodige doen om uw toestel
onder garantie te laten herstellen.
