This Addendum revises the installation of the logs in
the Installation and Owner’s Manual supplied with the
Valor heater models 738JL and 739JL.
This document replaces pages 24‑25 of the 738JL
manual and pages 26‑27 of the 739JL manual.

Ceramic Logs Installation (738JL and 739JL)
Unpack the ceramic logs very carefully to avoid damaging the fragile material. Install the logs as shown below.
Please note that the position of the logs is critical to ensure proper performance of the appliance.
1. Place the rear log on the sheet metal support
aligning its notches at the bottom with the tabs on
the sheet metal support. Pull the log’s right‑hand
side forward until the notch at the bottom right of
the log sits against front edge of the right‑hand
metal tab as indicated. Pull the left‑hand side until
its notch at the bottom left sits against the bent
metal tab. Ensure log is not sitting on top of the tab.
NOTE: The log will be slightly angled backward
behind the burner on the left-hand side as
shown.
Installation
Use the installation manual to install the appliance.
Once you have tted the ceramic walls, proceed with
the installation of the logs as shown below instead of
following the installation manual.
After installing the logs, continue the installation as
indicated in the manual.

2. Place the top left log on the pin of the rear log. The
bottom of the log rests against the left of the pilot
shield and slightly above.
3. Place the front left log on the burner. Slide it to the
left against the top left log. The narrow end should
rest in the notch in the rear log.
4. Place the front right log on the burner and slide it to
the left against the front left log.
5. Locate the top right log on the two pins on the right
side of the rear log. Ensure a tight t against the at
area around the pins in the rear log.
6. Place the lower end of the center right log onto the
pin on the front right log. Rest the narrow end in the
notch into the rear log.
7. Pour some ceramic loose
coals on each side of the
logs to hide the sheet metal
work. Do NOT put any coal
into the pilot area.

Addendum
aux Directives d’installation - Bûches
Cet Addendum révise la procédure d’installation
des bûches indiquée au Guide de l’installation et du
consommateur fourni avec les foyers Valor Legend G3
modèles 738JL et 739JL.
Ce document remplace les pages 24‑25 du guide
738JL et les pages 27‑28 du guide 739JL.
Pour les foyers Valor Legend G3, modèles 738JL et 739JL
Déballez les bûches de céramique avec précautions car elles sont fabriquées d’un matériau fragile. Installez les
bûches selon les directives suivantes. Veuillez noter que la position appropriée des bûches est essentielle au
bon rendement de l’appareil.
1. Placez la bûche arrière sur la plateforme de métal
alignant ses encoches du devant avec les onglets
de la plateforme. Tirez le côté droit de la bûche
vers l’avant jusqu’à ce que le bord de l’onglet
soit appuyé dans l’encoche. Tirez le côté gauche
jusqu’à ce que le bord de l’onglet gauche soit
appuyé dans l’encoche de gauche.
NOTE : La bûche sera légèrement reculée par
rapport au brûleur du côté gauche tel qu’indiqué.
Installation
Utilisez le guide d’installation pour installer l’appareil.
Une fois les panneaux de céramique installés dans la
boîte de foyer, continuez avec l’installation des bûches
selon la procédure indiquée ci‑dessous au lieu de celle
du guide.
Après avoir installé les bûches, poursuivez l’installation
selon le guide.

2. Placez la bûche gauche de dessus sur la cheville
de la bûche arrière. Le bas de la bûche se trouve
à gauche de l’écran de veilleuse le surplombant
légèrement.
3. Placez la bûche avant gauche sur le brûleur.
Glissez‑la vers la gauche contre la bûche du
dessus. Le bout étroit de la bûche avant devrait
reposer dans l’échancrure de la bûche arrière.
4. Placez la bûche avant droite sur le brûleur et glissez‑
la vers la gauche contre la bûche avant gauche.
5. Placez la bûche droite de dessus sur les deux che‑
villes droites de la bûche arrière. Assurez‑vous que
les parties plates du dessous de la bûche autour
des chevilles repose bien contre la bûche arrière.
6. Placez la base de la bûche du centre sur la cheville
de la bûche avant droite. Placez le bout étroit de la
bûche du centre dans l’encoche sur la
bûche arrière.
7. Versez des morceaux de
charbons de céramique de
chaque côté des bûches
pour couvrir la paroi de
métal de fond de la boîte de foyer. NE METTEZ
PAS de charbons près de la veilleuse.
