EC12D - - Clock with Calculator, Alarm & Temperature Readout
1. Introduction
Thank you for buying the EC12D ! This multifunctionalclock/calculator does more than merely displaythe correct
time ! It isalso equipped with a calculator, a calendar, a temperaturedisplay, analarmand a "world time" mode.
Remember to remove the filmwith protective layerfrom the display.
2. Features
•Calendar/Time Mode : Year, month,day, hours, minutes, seconds,all the days of the current month (e.g. June
: 1 through 30) and the temperature are displayed.
•Year : Can be setbetween 1900 and 2099.
•"World Time" Mode : Displays the correct time for thetime zones of 16 cities around the world
•Calculator : 12-digit calculator with the following function keys : "+", "-", "x", "÷
÷÷
÷", "%"
•Key Operation : Select audible or soundlesskey operation by pressingone single key.
•Temperature Display : Select °C or°F for thetemperature readout.
3. Setting the Calendar and the Time
Press the " "-key to activatethe normal display mode.
Press the "SET" key to activate thetime/calendar setting mode. The digits for the seconds start to flash. Enter the
seconds with the " "- or the " "-key and confirm the seconds with the "SET" key. Hold " " or " " to make the digits
change faster.
The digitsfor thehours startto flash. Enter thehours with " " or " ". Press "=" to select either the 12h- or 24h-mode
for the time display and confirm the hours with "SET".
The digitsfor the minutes start to flash.Enter the minutes with " " or " " and confirm with "SET".
The digits for the year start to flash. Enter the year with " " or " " and confirm with "SET".
The digitsfor the month start to flash.Enter themonth with " " or " " and confirm with "SET".
The digitsfor thedate start to flash. Enter the date with " " or " " and confirm with "SET".
Press the " "-key to return to thenormal display mode.
If you wait too long before pressing the next button, thedevice will exit the setting mode for the calendar and the
clock when thedigits forthe minutes have changed three times (e.g. last key waspressed at9h 45min.25sec. →9h
46min. →9h 47min. →the device returns to thenormal display mode at 9h 48min. 0sec.).
4. 12h- or 24h-mode
You can choose between the 12h-and the24h-mode forthe time display. Simply press the "=" key while the digits
for the hours are flashing inthe clock setting mode.
5. "Smart"-keys : " " and " "
These two keysare usedto enterthe desired data (seconds, hours, minutes, etc.) in the time/calendar setting mode.
They are also very practical, however, when you need to know which day ofthe week a particular past orfuturedate
fell/fallson. Start by selecting the normal display mode. Hold " " or " " to make the digits change faster.Press " "
when youhave looked up the dateof interest inorderto return to the normal display mode.

6. "World Time"-Mode
Press any "city key" to display the currenttime in thatcity for ±12 seconds. Press "SET" before the device returns to
the normal display mode if you wish to use that city as "local time".
7. Setting the Alarm Time
Press the " "-key to activate thealarm setting mode. Press SET to make thedigits for the hours flash.Enter the
hours with " " or " " and confirm with SET. The digits for the minutes start to flash. Enterthe minuteswith " " or " "
and confirm with . The alarmis armed automatically (" "-symbol is displayed). Pressthe " "-key to return to
the normal displaymode. Press twice in thenormaldisplay mode in order to disarm the alarm.
Press an arbitrary key when the alarm is sounding to deactivate the alarm for 24 hours.
8. Using the Calculator
Press the "AC"-key toactivate the calculator. TheEC12D's calculator can divide (÷
÷÷
÷), multiply (x), add (+), subtract
(-) and calculate percentages (%).
Press "AC" to reset the calculator.
The " "-key is used to deletethe entered digits (from leftto right).
If you wait too long before pressing the next button,the device will exit the calculator mode when thedigits for the
minutes have changed three times (e.g. 9h 45min. 25sec. →9h 46min. →9h 47min. →the device returns to the
normal display mode at 9h 48min. 0sec.).
How to use "HC" and "€URO" keys :
You canalso use the EC12D to convert £(or anyothercurrency) into €UROand vice versa. Enter "0.70" and press
the "SET" key to install thecorrect exchange rate (1€URO = 0.70£).
Examples :
If you wish to knowhow 100€URO translates into £ : Enter "100" andpress the "HC" key : 100€URO = 70£.
If you wish to know how1000£translates into €URO : Enter "1000" and press "€URO" : 1000£= 1428.57€URO.
9. Audible / Soundless Key Operation
Press the "♪
♪♪
♪"-key to togglebetween audible and soundless key operation.
10. Temperature Readout
Press the "°C/°F"-key in the normal displaymode to select °C or °F for the temperature readout.
11. Battery
The batteryneeds to be replaced if thedigits on the display areno longerlegible. Remove the screw inthe cover of
the battery compartment at the back of the device, remove the cover, insert a new AG13 battery, replace the cover
and tighten the screw.
Note that all data will be reset when the battery is removed. Please observe all applicable laws when disposing of
your oldbatteries !

1. Inleiding
Dank u vooruw aankoop ! Deze multifunctionele klok doet meer dan enkel de juiste tijd aangeven ! Het toestel is ook
uitgerustmet een rekenmachine, een kalender,een alarm, een thermometer-functie eneen "world time" mode.
Vergeet niet om debeschermfolie van dedisplay te halen.
2. Kenmerken
•Kalender/Tijdsmode : Jaar, maand, dag, uren, minuten, seconden, alledagen vande huidige maand(vb.
juni : cijfers van 1 tot en met 30) en de temperatuur vallen af te lezen van de
display.
•Jaartal : U kunteen jaartalinstellenvan 1900 tot 2099.
•"World Time" mode : Uitlezing van de correcte tijd voor de tijdzones van 16 steden verspreid over de
hele wereld.
•Rekenmachine : 12-digit rekenmachine metde volgende functietoetsen: "+", "-", "x", "÷
÷÷
÷", "%".
•Bediening van detoetsen : Met één druk opde knop selecteertu hoorbare of geluidloze bediening van de
toetsen.
•Thermometer-functie : Selecteer temperatuuruitlezing in °C of °F.

3. Instellen van de kalender en de klok
Druk op de " "-toets om de normale display mode te activeren.
Druk op de "SET"-toets omde instelmode vande klok en dekalender te activeren.De digits voorde seconden
beginnen te knipperen. Geef de seconden in met de " "- of de " "-toets en bevestig de seconden met de "SET"-
toets. Houd " " of " " ingedrukt om dedigits sneller te doen lopen.
De digits voor de uren beginnen te knipperen. Geef de uren in met " " of " ". Druk op "=" om 12u-of 24u-mode te
selecteren voor de tijdsdisplay en bevestig de uren met "SET".
De digits voor de minutenbeginnente knipperen. Geefde minuten in met " " of " " en bevestig met "SET".
De digits voor het jaartal beginnen te knipperen. Geefhet jaartal in met " " of " " en bevestig met "SET".
De digits voor de maand beginnen te knipperen. Geef de maand in met " " of " " en bevestig met "SET".
De digits voor de dag beginnen te knipperen.Geef de dag in met " " of " " en bevestig met "SET".
Druk op de " "-toets omterug te keren naar de normale display mode.
Indien ute lang wacht om de volgende toets inte drukken, dan zalhet toestel de instelmode van de kalenderen de
klok verlaten zodra de digits voorde minuten 3 x zijn veranderd (vb. laatste toets werd ingedrukt om9u 45min.
25sec. →9u 46min. →9u 47min. →om 9u 48min 0sec. keert de EC12D terug naar de normale tijdsuitlezing).
4. 12h- of 24h-mode
U kunt de tijd laten weergeven in12u- of24u-mode. Druk hiervoor opde "=" toets terwijl de digits voor de uren
knipperen in de instelmodevan de klok.
5. "Smart"-toetsen : " " en " "
Deze twee toetsen worden gebruikt om degewenste data in tegeven (seconden,uren, minuten, enz.) in de
instelmodevan de klok en de kalender. Ze komen ook uitstekend van pas indienu wilweten op welkedag vande
week eenbepaalde datum viel (verleden) of zal vallen (toekomst). Steleerst de normale display mode in. Houd" " of
"" ingedrukt om de digits sneller te doen lopen. Wanneeru de datum in kwestieheeft opgezocht, moet ude " "-
toets indrukken om terug tekeren naarde normale display mode.
6. "World Time"-Mode
Druk op de toets van een willekeurige stad om de huidige tijd in die stad gedurende ±12 seconden op de display te
doen verschijnen. Drukop "SET" voordat hettoestel terugkeert naar denormale display mode indien u deze stad wil
instellen als uw "plaatselijke tijd".
7. Instellen van het alarmtijdstip
Druk op de " "-toets omde instelmode van het alarm te activeren.Druk op SET om de digits voor de uren te doen
knipperen. Geef de uren in met " " of " " en bevestig metSET. De digits voor deminutenbeginnen teknipperen.
Geef de minuten in met " " of " " en bevestig met . Het alarm staat nu automatisch op scherp (" "-symbool
verschijnt op de display).Keer terug naar de normale display mode met de " "-toets. Druktin de mode van de
normale tijdsuitlezing 2 x op om het alarm uit te schakelen.
Druk op een willekeurige toets wanneer het alarm afgaat om het alarm gedurende 24ute deactiveren.

8. Hoe gebruikt u de rekenmachine ?
Druk op de "AC"-toets om de rekenmachine teactiveren. Hettoestel kan delen (÷
÷÷
÷), vermenigvuldigen (x), optellen
(+), aftrekken (-)en percentages berekenen (%).
Druk op "AC" om de rekenmachine te resetten.
De " "-toets wordt gebruikt omde ingetikte cijfers te wissen (van links naar rechts).
Indien ute lang wacht om de volgende toets in tedrukken,dan zal het toestel de rekenmachine-mode verlaten zodra
de digits voorde minuten 3x zijn veranderd (vb. laatstetoets werd ingedrukt om 9u45min. 25sec. →9u 46min. →
9u 47min. →om 9u 48min 0sec. keert de EC12D terug naarde normale tijdsuitlezing).
Hoe gebruikt u de "HC" en de "€URO" toets ?
U kunt de EC12D ook gebruiken om BEF (of om het even welke andere munt) omte zetten in €URO en omgekeerd.
Geef "40.3399" inen druk op de "SET" toets om de juiste wisselkoers te programmeren (1€URO = 40.3399BEF).
Voor Nederland : 1€URO = 2.20Hfl.
Voorbeelden :
Zet 1000BEF omin €URO : Geef "1000" in en druk op"€URO" : 1000BEF = 24.79€URO.
Zet 100€URO om in BEF : Geef "100"in en druk op de "HC" toets : 100€URO = 4033.99BEF.
Zet 100Hfl om in €URO: Geef "100" in en drukop "€URO" : 100Hfl = 45.45€URO.
Zet 100€URO omin Hfl : Geef "100" in en drukop de "HC" toets :100€URO = 220Hfl.
9. Hoorbare/geluidloze bediening van de toetsen
Druk op de "♪
♪♪
♪"-toets omaf te wisselen tussen hoorbareen geluidloze bediening vande toetsen.
10. Temperatuuruitlezing
Druk op de "°C/°F" toets inde normale display mode om °Cof °F te selecteren voorde temperatuuruitlezing.
11. Batterij
U moet de batterij vervangen wanneerde digits op de LCD niet langerleesbaar zijn. Verwijderde schroef in het
deksel van het batterijvak aan de achterkant vanhet toestel en neemhet dekselaf. Stop 1 nieuwe AG13-batterijin
het toestel, brenghet deksel aanen span deschroef aan.
Merk op dat alle gegevens wordengereset wanneer u de batterij verwijdert. Respecteer alletoepasselijke wetten
wanneeru oude batterijen weggooit !

Merci de votre achat !Cette horloge multifonctions fait plus que simplement afficher l'heure exacte ! L'appareil est
égalementpourvu desfonctions suivantes: calculatrice, calendrier, alarme, thermomètre et mode "world time".
N'oubliez pas d'enlever le film protecteur de l'afficheur.

3. Mise à l'heure et réglage du calendrier
Pressez la touche " " pour activer le mode d'affichage normal.
Pressez la touche "SET" pour activer le mode de réglage ducalendrieret de l'horloge.Les digits des secondes
commencentà clignoter. Entrez les secondes avec la touche " " ou " " et confirmez les secondes avec la touche
"SET". Les digits changeront plus vite si vousgardez " " ou " " enfoncé.

4. Mode 12h- ou 24h
Vous avez le choix entre le mode 12het le mode 24h pour l'affichage de l'heure. Vous n'avez qu'à presser la touche
"=" pendant que les digits des heures clignotent dans lemode de réglage de l'horloge.
5. Touches "intelligentes" : " " et " "
Ces deux touchess'utilisent pour l'introduction desdonnées (secondes, heures, minutes, etc.) dans le modede
réglage ducalendrier et de l'horloge. Ces deux touches sontégalement très pratiques si vous voulezcontrôlersur
quel jourde la semaine unecertaine date tombe (date passée ou future). Sélectionnez d'abord le mode d'affichage
normal. Les digits changeront plusvite si vous gardez " " ou " " enfoncé. Une fois la date contrôlée, vous devez
presser " " pour retourner au mode d'affichage normal.
6. Mode "World Time"
Pressez la touche d'une ville arbitraire pourafficher l'heure locale actuelle de cetteville pendant ±12 secondes.
Pressez "SET" avant que l'appareil retourne au mode d'affichage normal si vous voulez instaurer cette ville en tant
que votre "heurelocale".
7. Réglage de l'alarme
Pressez la touche " " pour activer le mode de réglage de l'alarme. Pressez SET pour faire clignoter les digits des
heures. Entrez les heures avec " " ou " " et confirmez avec SET. Les digits des minutes commencent à clignoter.
Entrez les minutes avec " " ou " " et confirmez avec . L’alarme est armée automatiquement (le symbole " " est
affiché). Retournezau mode d’affichage normal avec la touche " ". Pressez deux fois dans lemode
d’affichagenormal pour désarmer l’alarme.
Pressez une touchearbitraire lorsque l'alarme retentitafin de désactiver l'alarme pour 24heures.

8. Emploi de la calculatrice
Pressez la touche "AC" pour activer la calculatrice. La calculatrice est capablede diviser (÷
÷÷
÷), de multiplier (x),
d'additionner (+), de soustraire (-) et de calculerdes pourcentages (%).
Pressez "AC" afin de remettre la calculatrice à zéro.
La touche " " permet d'effacer les digits introduits (degauche àdroite).
Si vous attendez troplongtemps avant de presser la prochainetouche, l'appareilquittera le modede la calculatrice
dès que les digits des minutes ont changé trois fois(p.ex. la dernière touche a été pressée à 9h45min. 25sec. →9h
46min. →9h 47min. →votre EC12D retournera au mode d'affichage normal à 9h48min 0sec.).
Emploi des touches "HC" et "€URO"
La EC12D permet également de convertirdes FB (oun'importe quelleautre monnaie)en "€URO " et vice versa.
Introduisez "40.3399"et pressez la touche "SET"afin de programmer le taux du change correct (1€URO =
40.3399FB).Le taux du changepour la France : 1€URO = 6.56FF.
Exemples :
Conversion de 1000FB en €URO : Entrez"1000" et pressez la touche "€URO" : 1000FB = 24.79€URO.
Conversion de 100€URO en FB :Entrez "100" etpressez la touche "HC" : 100€URO = 4033.99FB.
Conversion de 100FF en €URO : Entrez"100" et pressez la touche "€URO" : 100FF = 15.24€URO.

9. Opération des touches : audible ou inaudible
Pressez la touche "♪

♪" pouralternerentre une opération des touches audible ou inaudible.
10. Affichage de la température
Pressez la touche "°C/°F"dans le moded'affichage normal afin de sélectionner°C ou °F pourl'affichage de la
température.
11. Piles
Remplacez la pile quand les digits de l'afficheur deviennentillisibles. Enlevez la vis du couvercle du compartimentde
la pile au dos de l'appareil. Insérez une nouvelle pileAG13, replacez le couvercleet serrez la vis.
Remarquezque les données seront misesà zéro lorsque vous enlevez l'ancienne pile. Respecteztoutes les lois
applicables lorsque vous jetez vos piles usées !

¡Gracias porhaber comprado elEC12D! Estereloj multifunción nosólo indica la hora exacta sino tambiénestá
provisto de algunas funciones adicionales: calculadora, calendario, alarma, termómetro y modo "hora
mundial"(world time). No se olvide de quitar la película protectora del display.
2. Características
•Modo calendario/reloj : Se visualizan elaño, el mes, el día, lashoras, los minutos, los segundos, todos los

3. Puesta en hora y ajuste del calendario
Apriete la tecla " " para activar el modo de visualizaciónnormal.
Apriete la tecla "SET" para activar el modo de ajuste del calendario y del reloj. Los dígitos de los segundos
empiezan a parpadear. Introduzca los segundos con " " o " " y confirme con "SET". Observe que los dígitos cambian
más rápidamente manteniendo apretado " " o " ".
Los dígitos de las horas empiezan a parpadear. Introduzca las horas con " " o " " y confirme con "SET".
Los dígitos de los minutos empiezan a parpadear. Introduzca los minutos con " " o " ". Seleccione el modo 12h o24h
para la visualización de la hora apretandola tecla "=" yconfirme las horas con "SET".
Los dígitos del año empiezan a parpadear. Introduzca el año con " " o " " y confirme con "SET".

4. Modo 12h o 24h
Puede elegir entre el modo 12h yel modo 24h para la visualización de lahora. Sólo debe apretar la tecla"="
mientras que los dígitos de las horasparpadeanen el modo de ajuste del reloj.
5. Teclas "inteligentes" : " " y " "
Estas dos teclas se usan para introducir datos (segundos, horas, minutos, etc.) en el modo de ajuste delcalendario
y del reloj. Estas dos teclas están también muy prácticas si Ud. quiere controlar en que día de la semana cae una
fecha (fecha pasada o futura). Primero, seleccione el modo de visualización normal. Los dígitos cambian más
rápidamente manteniendo apretado " " o " ". Una vez lafecha controlada, apriete " " para volver al modo de
visualización normal.
6. Modo "Hora mundial"
Apriete la tecla de una ciudad arbitraria para visualizar la hora local actual de esta ciudad durante ±12 segundos.

7. Ajuste de la alarma
Apriete la tecla " " para activar el modo de ajuste de la alarma. Apriete SET para hacer parpadear los dígitos de

Introduzca los minutos con " " o " " y confirme con . L’alarme se arma automáticamente (se visualiza el símbolo
""). Vuelva almodo de visualización normal con la tecla " ". Apriete dos veces en el modo de visualización
normal para desarmar la alarma.
Apriete una tecla arbitraria si suena la alarma a fin de desactivarla para 24 horas.

8. Uso de la calculadora
Apriete la tecla "AC" para activar la calculadora.La calculadora es capaz de dividir (÷), de multiplicar (x), de sumar
(+), de restar (-)y de calcularporcentajes (%).
Apriete la tecla "AC" a finde reinicializar la calculadora.
La tecla " " permite borrarlos dígitos introducidos (de la izquierdaa la derecha).
Si espera demasiado tiempo antes de apretarla próxima tecla, elaparato sale del modo de la calculadora tan pronto
como se hayan cambiado los dígitos de los minutos tres veces (p.ej. se ha apretado la última tecla a 9h 45min.
25seg. →9h 46min. →9h 47min. →el EC12D vuelve al modo de visualización normal a 9h 48min 0seg.).
Uso de las teclas "HC" y "€URO"
El EC12D permite tambiénconvertir PTAS (o cualquier otra moneda) en "€URO " y viceversa. Introduzca "40.3399"
y apriete la tecla "SET" a fin de programar el tipo de cambio correcto (1€URO = 166.386PTAS).
Ejemplos :
Conversión de 1000 PTAS en €URO : Introduzca "1000" y apriete latecla "€URO" : 1000PTAS = 6.0101 €URO.
Conversiónde 100€URO en PTAS : Introduzca "100" y aprietela tecla "HC" : 100€URO = 16638.6 PTAS.
9. Operación de las teclas : audible o inaudible
Apriete la tecla "♪
♪♪
♪" para cambiar entre una operación de las teclasaudible oinaudible.
10. Visualización de la temperatura
Apriete la tecla "°C/°F" enel modo de visualización normal a finde seleccionar °C o °F para la visualizaciónde la
temperatura.
11. Pilas
Reemplace la pila cuando los dígitos del display se vuelven débiles. Quite el tornillo de la tapa del compartimiento de
pila en el panelposterior del aparato. Introduzcauna nueva pila AG13, reemplace la tapa y atornilleel tornillo.
Observe quedebe reajustar los datos después de haber quitado lapila agotada. ¡Respete todas las leyesaplicables
cuando tira las pilasagotadas!
