1 General Description
1.1 The highest efficiency ever!
Setting a new industry standard: with up to 95% efficiency these
chargers waste three to four times less heat.
And once the battery is fully charged, power consumption
reduces to less than a Watt, some five to ten times better than the
industry standard.
1.2 Adaptive charge algorithm: charge/test – bulk –
absorption – recondition – float – storage
The Blue Power charger features a microprocessor controlled
‘adaptive’ battery management. The ‘adaptive’ feature will
automatically optimise the charging process relative to the way
the battery is being used.
1. Charge/test
Tests if the battery can accept charge
2. Bulk
Charges the battery with maximum current until
absorption voltage is reached (battery 80% charged)
3. Absorption
Charges the battery at constant voltage and with
decreasing current until it is fully charged
4. Recondition
Optional reconditioning for deeply discharged an
sulfated batteries: charges the battery at increased
voltage with reduced current.
5. Float
Keeps the battery at constant voltage and fully
charged
6. Storage
Keeps the battery at reduced constant voltage to
reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates.
Refreshes the battery every week.
The charger will start a new charge cycle during step
5 or 6 if, due to a load, it switches to maximum current
mode during more than 4 seconds.

1.3 Also charges Li-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries: see table
LiFePO₄batteries are charged with a simple bulk – absorption –
float algorithm.
1.4 Internal temperature sensor
Measures ambient temperature during the charge/test phase and
compensates for temperature during absorption. Measures
temperature again when in low current mode during float or
storage.
1.5 Totally silent
No fan.
1.6 Protected against overheating
Output current will reduce as temperature increases up to 60°C,
but the charger will not fail.
1.7 Reverse polarity protected
No sparks, short circuit proof and reverse polarity protected.
The charger will start charging even when the battery has
been discharged to zero volt.
2 Safety instructions
• Never charge a frozen battery.
• Never place the charger on top of the battery when charging.
• Always provide for proper ventilation during charging.
• Avoid covering the charger.
• A battery being charged could emit explosive gasses. Prevent
sparks close to the battery
• Battery acid is corrosive. Rinse immediately with water if acid
comes into contact with skin.
• If the charger has not switched to float or storage within 30
hours, this is an indication of an error. Manually disconnect the
charger.
• Batteries consume water during use and charging. For flooded
batteries where water can be added, the water level should be

checked regularly. If the water level is low add distilled or
demineralised water.
• This appliance is not designed for use by young children or
people who cannot read or understand the manual unless they
are under the supervision of a responsible person to ensure that
they can use the battery charger safely. Store and use the battery
charger out of the reach of children, and ensure that children
cannot play with the charger.
• Connection to the mains supply must be in accordance with the
national regulations for electrical installations.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similary qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
• Never try to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
3. Charging
1. Connect the charger to the battery.
2. Connect the charger to the wall socket. The CHARGE LED will
indicate that the mains cable is connected to the wall socket.
The charge status LED’s will blink in case of reverse polarity
connection, short-circuit or if a 12 V charger is connected to a
24 V battery.
3. Press the MODE-button to select a charging program.
The charger will remember the mode setting and start in the
same mode the next time it is used.
4. The battery is fully charged when the READY LED is on,
simultaneously with the FLOAT or STORAGE LED.
5. Stop charging at any time by disconnecting the mains cable
from the wall socket.

a. For 24 V chargers: multiply all values by 2.
b.The absorbtion duration depends on how deep the battery was
discharged. Maximum duration: 8 hours.
c. RECONDITION is applicable to the NORMAL and HIGH
settings only.
d. During RECONDITION the max current is equal to the stated
% of the nominal current until the max voltage is reached.
Example for a 12/15 charger: the recondition current is
15 x 0,08 = 1,2 A.
The recondition LED will blink during recondition mode.
4. Technical specifications

1 Algemene beschrijving
1.1 Efficiënter dan ooit!
Een nieuwe industrienorm: met een efficiëntie van tot 95%
verspillen deze laders drie tot vier keer minder warmte.
Bovendien daalt het stroomverbruik wanneer de accu volledig is
geladen tot minder dan één Watt, ongeveer vijf tot tien keer beter
dan de industrienorm.
1.2 Adaptief laadalgoritme: laden/testen – bulk – absorbtie –
herconditionering – float – opslag
De Blue Power lader is voorzien van een door een
microprocessor gestuurd adaptief accubeheer. De adaptieve
functie optimaliseert automatische het laadproces afhankelijk van
hoe de accu wordt gebruikt.
1. Laden/testen
Test of de accu lading kan ontvangen.
2. Bulk
Laad de accu met maximale stroomsterkte totdat de
absorptiespanning wordt bereikt (accu 80% geladen).
3. Absorptie
Laad de accu met constante spanning en met
afnemende stroomsterkte totdat deze volledig
geladen is.
4. Herconditionering
Optionele herconditionering van diep ontladen en
gesulfateerde accu's: laad de accu met verhoogde
spanning en verlaagde stroomsterkte.
5. Float
Houd de accu op een constante spanning en volledig
geladen
6. Opslag
Houd de accu op een lagere constante spanning om
gasvorming en corrosie van de positieve platen te
voorkomen. Ververst de accu om de week.
De accu begint na stap 5 of 6 aan een nieuwe
laadcyclus als deze na een belasting gedurende meer

dan 4 seconden overschakelt naar de maximale
stroomsterktemodus.
1.3 Laadt ook Li-ion (LiFePO₄) accu's: Zie tabel
LiFePO₄accu's worden geladen volgens een eenvoudig bulk –
absorptien – float algoritme.
1.4 Interne temperatuursensor
Meet de omgevingstemperatuur tijdens de laad/testfase en
compenseert tijdens de absorptiefase voor de temperatuur. Meet
de temperatuur opnieuw in de lage stroomsterktemodus tijdens
float of opslag.
1.5 Volledig stil
Geen ventilator.
1.6 Beschermd tegen oververhitting
De uitgangsstroom neemt af als de temperatuur tot 60 ºC stijgt,
maar de lader valt niet uit.
1.7 Beschermd tegen omgekeerde polariteit
Geen vonken, kortsluitbestendig en beschermd tegen
omgekeerde polariteit.
De lader begint zelfs met laden wanneer de accu ontladen is
tot nul volt.
2 Veiligheidsvoorschriften
• Laad nooit een bevroren accu.
• Plaats de lader nooit tijdens het laden op de accu.
• Zorg altijd voor voldoende ventilatie tijdens het laden.
• Dek de lader niet af.
• Een accu die wordt geladen, kan explosieve gassen afgeven.
Voorkom vonken in de buurt van de accu.
• Accuzuur is corrosief. Spoel de huid onmiddelijk af met water
als er accuzuur op komt.
• Als de lader niet binnen 30 uur overschakelt naar float of opslag,
duidt dit op een storing. Ontkoppel de lader handmatig.

• Accu's verbruiken water tijdens het gebruik en laden. Aan natte
accu's kan water worden toegevoegd. Het waterpeil moet
regelmatig gecontroleerd worden. Als het waterpeil laag is, voegt
u gedistilleerd of gedemineraliseerd water toe.
• Dit toestel is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door jonge kinderen of
mensen die de handleiding niet kunnen lezen of begrijpen, tenzij
deze onder toezicht van een verantwoordelijke persoon staan die
ervoor zorgt dat ze de acculader veilig kunnen gebruiken. Bewaar
en gebruik de acculader buiten het bereik van kinderen, en
voorkom dat ze ermee gaan spelen.
• Aansluiting op het elektriciteitsnet dient plaats te vinden in
overeenstemming met de nationale regelgeving voor elektrische
installaties.
• Als het stroomsnoer beschadigd is, moet dit worden vervangen
door de fabrikant, diens servicevertegenwoordiger of
vergelijkbaar gekwalificeerde personen om gevaar te vermijden.
• Probeer nooit niet-oplaadbare accu's te laden.

3. Laden
1. Sluit de lader aan op de accu.
2. Sluit de lader aan op het wandcontact. De LAAD-LED geeft
aan dat het stroomsnoer is aangesloten op het wandcontact.
De laadstatus-LED's knipperen bij omgepoolde aansluiting,
kortsluiting of aansluiting van een 12 V lader op een 24 V accu.
3. Druk op de MODUS-knop om een laadprogramma te
selecteren.
De lader onthoudt de modusinstelling en begint de volgende keer
dat deze wordt gebruikt in dezelfde modus.
4. De accu is volledig geladen wanneer de GEREED-LED tegelijk
met de FLOAT- of OPSLAG-LED brandt.
5. U kunt het laden op elk moment stoppen door de stekker van
het stroomsnoer uit het wandcontact te trekken.

Opmerkingen:
a. Voor 24 V laders: vermenigvuldig alle waarden met 2.
b. De absorbtieduur hangt af van hoe diep de accu ontladen was.
Maximale duur: 8 uur.
c. HERCONDITIONERING is alleen van toepassing op de
instellingen NORMAAL en HOOG.
d. Tijdens RECONDITIONERING is de max. stroomsterkte gelijk
aan het aangegeven % van de nominale stroomsterkte totdat de
max. spanning wordt bereikt.
Dit is bij een 12/15 lader bijvoorbeeld: de
herconditioneringsstroomsterkte is 15 x 0,08 = 1,2 A.
De herconditionerings-LED knippert gedurende de
herconditioneringsmodus.
4. Technische specificaties
Opmerkingen:
a. Temperatuurcompensatie: - 2 mV/°C per cel (alleen bij
loodzuuraccu's).
(Meet de omgevingstemperatuur tijdens de laad/testfase en

1 Description générale
1.1 Un niveau d'efficacité jamais égalé !
Une nouvelle norme industrielle s'impose : avec une efficacité
jusqu'à 95%, ces chargeurs dépensent trois à quatre fois moins
de chaleur.
Et une fois que la batterie est entièrement chargée, la
consommation d'énergie est réduite à moins d'un Watt, près de
cinq à dix fois mieux que les normes industrielles.
1.2 Algorithme de charge adaptative : charge/test – bulk –
absorption – remise en état – float – veille
Le Chargeur Blue Power comprend un système de gestion de
charge "adaptive" contrôlé par un microprocesseur. La fonction
« adaptative » optimise automatiquement le processus de charge
selon l'utilisation qui est faite de la batterie.
1. Charge/test
Teste si la batterie peut accepter la charge
2. Bulk
Charge la batterie avec un courant maximal jusqu'à
atteindre la tension d'absorption (batterie chargée à
80 %)
3. Absorption
Charge la batterie à une tension constante et avec un
courant décroissant jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit entièrement
chargée
4. Remise en état
Remise en état optionnelle pour des batteries trop
déchargées ou sulfatées : charge la batterie à une
tension augmentée avec un courant réduit.
5. Float
Maintient la batterie à une tension constante et
entièrement chargée
6. Veille
Maintient la batterie à une tension constante réduite
afin de réduire le gazage et la corrosion des plaques
positives.
Revigore la batterie toutes les semaines.

Le chargeur lancera un nouveau cycle de charge
durant l'étape 5 ou 6, si, en raison d'une charge, il
commute au mode de courant maximal pendant plus
de 4 secondes.
1.3 Possibilité également de charger des batteries au lithium-
ion (LiFePO₄) : voir le tableau.
Les batteries LiFePO₄sont chargées avec un simple algorithme
bulk – absorption – float.
1.4 Sonde de température interne.
Elle mesure la température ambiante durant la phase de
charge/test et elle compense la température pendant l'absorption.
Elle mesure également la température en cas de mode de
courant faible durant l'étape float ou veille.
1.5 Entièrement silencieux
Pas de ventilateur.
1.6 Protection contre la surchauffe
Le courant de sortie se réduira si la température augmente
jusqu'à 60ºC, mais le chargeur ne tombera pas en panne.
1.7 Protection contre la polarité inversée
Pas d'étincelles, à l'épreuve des courts-circuits et protégé contre
la polarité inversée.
Le chargeur commencera à charger même si la batterie a été
déchargée à zéro volt.
2 Instructions de sécurité
• Ne jamais charger une batterie gelée.
• Ne jamais installer le chargeur sur la batterie durant la charge.
• Toujours prévoir une ventilation correcte durant la charge.
• Éviter de recouvrir le chargeur.
• Une batterie en cours de charge peut émettre des gaz explosifs.
Éviter les étincelles à proximité de la batterie
• Le plomb de la batterie est corrosif. Rincer immédiatement à
l'eau si l'acide entre en contact avec la peau.

• Si le chargeur n'a pas commuté en mode float ou veille d'ici 30
heures, cela indique une erreur. Déconnecter manuellement le
chargeur.
• Les batteries consomment de l'eau durant leur utilisation et leur
charge. Pour les batteries à électrolyte liquide auxquelles on peut
rajouter de l'eau, le niveau de cette dernière doit être vérifié
régulièrement. Si le niveau de l'eau est bas, ajouter de l'eau
distillée ou déminéralisée.
• Cet appareil n'est pas conçu pour de jeunes enfants ou des
personnes ne pouvant lire ou comprendre le manuel d'instruction,
sauf sous la surveillance d'une personne responsable permettant
de garantir qu'ils peuvent utiliser le chargeur de batterie en toute
sécurité. Conserver et utiliser le chargeur de batterie dans un lieu
hors de la portée des enfants, et s'assurer que les enfants ne
peuvent pas jouer avec le chargeur.
• La connexion à l'alimentation réseau doit être conforme aux
réglementations nationales relatives aux installations électriques.
• . Si le câble d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé
par le fabricant, son dépanneur ou des personnes ayant les
mêmes qualifications afin d'éviter tout danger.
• Ne jamais essayer de charger des batteries non rechargeables.

3. Charge
1. Connectez le chargeur à la batterie.
2. Connectez le chargeur à la prise murale. La LED CHARGE
indiquera que le câble de réseau est connecté à la prise murale.
La LED d'état de charge clignotera en cas de connexion avec
polarité inversée, de court-circuit, ou si un chargeur de 12 V est
connecté à une batterie de 24 V.
3. Appuyez sur le bouton MODE pour sélectionner un programme
de charge.
Le chargeur retiendra la configuration du mode, et il démarrera
avec le même mode au prochain démarrage.
4. La batterie est entièrement chargée quand la LED READY
(Prêt) est allumée en même temps que la LED FLOAT ou
STORAGE (veille).
5. Il est possible d'arrêter la charge à tout moment en
débranchant le câble de réseau de la prise murale.

4. Caractéristiques techniques
Remarque :
a. Compensation de température : - 2 mV/°C par cellule
(uniquement pour les batteries au plomb).
(Elle mesure la température ambiante durant la phase de
charge/test et elle compense la température pendant l'absorption.
Elle mesure également la température en cas de mode de
courant faible durant l'étape float ou veille).
b. Le chargeur lancera un nouveau cycle de charge durant l'étape
5 ou 6, si, en raison d'une charge, il commute au mode de
