Introduction
Description
The XV control panel is a Videofied wireless, battery operated hybrid alarm system. It is designed for
residential and small business security applications or commercial applications like warehouses and
places with internet service. With Motion Viewers™ and the Videofied line-up, the XV control panel will
provide video and audio verification on intrusion.
The XV has programmable inputs and outputs and has a mapping function that allows the triggering of
a video from a Videofied Motion Viewer upon any event.
The XV also has two dedicated connectors to extend GPRS and Radio range.
The XV can also have two wired speaker-microphone units for full-duplex audio verification.
Supervised Wireless Technology
The XV GPRS, along with all Videofied devices, uses the patented S2View®, Interactive, AES
Encrypted Wireless technology, providing optimum signal integrity and security.
The bi-directional RF communication path between all devices and the system control panel
guarantees high signal reliability. Integrated antennas eliminate protruding wires or rods, both more
difficult to install and unsightly to consumers, and potentially troublesome if damaged.
The panel supervises every device (excluding the remote key fob) to validate current open/close state,
tamper condition, serial number, date of manufacture, firmware revision, and battery status.

1. XV setup

2. XV Programming
** A CMA200 IS NECESSARY TO CONFIGURE THE XV PANEL **


Reset the Xv Panel :
Press and hold the programming button ( ) for 10sec until
the Indicator LED blinks twice
Press and instantly release the programming button ( ). The
indicator LED will blink once. The panel is now in ‘Learn
Mode’ for the CMA200 keypad.
Insert all three batteries into the CMA200 and press on both
the ESC/NO and CLR keys at the same time and release.
The indicator LED on the keypad will blink rapidly.
Other languages are available by scrolling with arrows.

If you have an installer default list, enter the name of the list.

The Radio Range test must be run during the learn in
process in order to ensure proper pairing with the control
panel. This test is the strength of communication between
the device and the control panel. The keypad will display a
real time range out of 9 for the device that the test is
running for. To receive the most accurate results you must
run the radio range test for at least 30 seconds.
The RF level test must be 8/9 or better for reliable
transmission.

During the GPRS Level test the Modem will boot and
attempt to gain access to the internet to post a Level out of
5 or an error Code that will help troubleshoot why it cannot
connect. To keep the keypad awake use any keys on the
keypad except the YES, ESC/NO, and CLR keys. .
Once the level or error has posted press YES to continue
in programming.
*For explanation of GPRS errors see page 17

3. XV Panel
The XV includes all the benefits of the Videofied range of products.
The powerful speaker allows you to do internal voice challenge verification on site and gives extreme
confidence of the product to the end user.
The programming customization can give you many combinations of video, voice, inputs and outputs
to match all of your customers’ needs.
XV Features:
- Two Programmable inputs and one programmable output and have a mapping function that
allows you to trigger a video from a Videofied Motion Viewer upon any event.
- Two dedicated connectors to extend the GPRS and Radio range.
- Two wired speaker-microphone for full-duplex two-way voice audio verification.

4. TP200 Speakers / Microphone
With the XV panel it will be possible to do two way voice communications. You can connect up to two
wired TP200 (microphone & speakers).
The two way voice module TP200 isn’t include in the panel for safety reasons.
You can see below how to connect the TP200 to the panel:
To have a good two way voice communication:
Thoroughly follow the above wiring diagram.
Power and ground are doubled to maximize the possible panel/speaker distance.
2 (two) TP200 maximum connected to the panel.
Parallel wiring required if 2 TP200s are connected.
Maximum combined length: 40 m, if the first TP200 is 30 meters far from the panel…the
maximum length of the second cable (for 2nd TP200) will be maximum 10 meters.
On the panel’s end, strip the wire’s cladding on at least 1cm for a proper contact to be established.
In case of acoustics problems:
The TP200 module has to be fixed to the wall to eliminate vibrations.
The TP200 module has to be fixed 1 meter minimum far from the panel. In order to avoid
interferences with the panel GPRS/GSM module.
To improve the quality of the two way voice communication, move the panel or TP200 position
up to 10 cm can be efficient.
The two way voice communication is a full duplex communication. It’s very important that the
monitoring station operator doesn’t use phone speakers

5.Configuration
Other setup (badges/codes, arming profiles, etc…) must be set with the CMA keypad
5.1 End users Badges/Codes configuration:
Register a new user badge/code:
To register a new user Badge/Code, at first press the arrow to move to BADGES ACCESS CODES.

code or present a badge to the reader for 2 seconds + [YES] Confirm the code by re-entering. +

The XV-IP system can accept up to 19 Badges or Access codes in any combination.

Access level
Codes and badges get rights access to one of the 4 available levels of access.

Stand by level
LVL2
Restricted USER level where it is only possible to arm/disarm the system.
LVL3
USER level where it is possible to arm/disarm the system, check the event
log, test the devices.
Modifications of the setting are not possible at this level.
User LVL3 can create LVL3 or LVL2 access codes.
LVL4
INSTALLER level where it is possible to modify the setup of the panel. The approval of a
LVL3 or LVL2 is required to modify the level for LVL4.
Installer LVL4 can create the first LVL3 access code only.
Note there is no Manufacturer (Level 4 of EN50131) access on XL panel.
How return to the LVL1?
• After 1mn of no use of the keypad and no tests running, the display returns to the standby display
and LVL1.
• When standby display, if the [ESC] key is held during 5s, the level is changed to LVL1.

5.2 Configure the Special Arming mode
To configure or modify a special arming mode, with the direction arrow go to the menu:
CONFIGURATION (LEVEL 4) + [YES] ALARM MODES PROGRAMMABLE + [YES] FULLY
ARMED, SP1 and SP2 (use direction arrows to select the arming mode you want to modify + [YES]).
For each arming mode, it is possible to specify how each of the 4 areas will be armed and how the
system will behave during an alarm.
Areas: 1 2 3 4 Each time you press the corresponding number, the system will toggle the arming
States: A A A A state for the respective area.
Press the [YES] key after this configuration step. The system will then display what siren mode will be
in effect for this special profile. Select the siren mode using the direction arrows then press [YES].
5.3 GPRS Parameters
To configure or modify the GPRS parameters, go to:
CONFIGURATION (LEVEL 4) + [YES] >> GENERAL PARAMETERS + [YES] >> GPRS PARAMETERS + [YES]
In this menu you can modify advanced GPRS parameters: APN, User Name, Password, Packet Size,
Data Time Out, SMTP GPRS, Port GPRS, Max TCP packet, Ringtone.

The first three GPRS parameters are given by your SIM card provider.
GPRS parameters are provided by the cellularcarrier. It is necessary to enter the correctinformation
for the carrier you use.
Remark:GPRS Parameters are Case Sensitive! (use the M/m key of the keypadto
change between upper/lowercase letters).
Be careful: Use arrows to
change from one parameter
to the other. Press on the
[YES]keyonlywhenyou
want to modify a parameter!
(The APN code is provided by your cellular provider. These
parameters will change with the SIM card used. Ask your
cellular providerfor additional information).
5.4 Monitoring Parameters
To configure or modify the monitoring parameters, go to:
CONFIGURATION + [YES] >> MONITORING CONFIGURATION + [YES] >> PARAMETERS + [YES]
In this menu you have:
Monitoring? Enable or Disable
Account Number: provided by your monitoring station
Server addresses: parameters provided by your monitoring station
Calling Profile:
Three options are available:
Strategy: ETH + GPRS (GPRS for Back-up), ETHERNET ONLY, GPRS ONLY
Sequence
Alternating test: with alternating test enable,the panel will transmit theperiodic test
alternatively only via Ethernet, andonly via GPRS. With this mode it’s possible to
know what type of transmission is working well.
5.5 Periodic test
To configure or modify the periodic test parameters, go to:
CONFIGURATION + [YES] >> MONITORING CONFIGURATION + [YES] >> PERIODIC TEST + [YES]
The different parameters are:
Test frequency: 24 hours by default
Test Hour
System armed: If enabled, the panel will transmit the periodic testonly if the system is
armed.

5.6 Events to transmit
To configure or modify the events to transmit, go to:

The status “alarm” corresponds to the event,and the status “end” corresponds to end of the event.
5.7 Scheduling (Scheduled Task)
It’s possible to configure up to 99 scheduled tasks. For example: each Monday at 07:00am the panel
will disarm itself.
To configure a scheduled task go to:
CONFIGURATION (level 4) + [YES] AREAS AND DEVICES + [YES] SCHEDULING + [YES]
Scheduling: Enable. Enable all scheduled tasks
Calendar Management: In this menu you are able to create new scheduled tasks
To create a new scheduled task press YES/OK

The option «WARNING BEEP » is triggered during scheduled arming delay. To configure this option,
go to:

6. Level test GPRS error
IMPORTANT: The PIN of the SIM card has to be deactivated or 00000.

The panel will send a test alarm to the first IP address configured in the menu
“Address Server”. In case of failure the panel will not stay “blocked in transmission”

8. Programmable Wired Inputs
Two wired programmable inputs are available on the XV-IP panel.
To use and configure these programmable outputs, please read the application note”Prog_input”.
Example of an application using the programmable input: a panic button will transmit a panic event.
9.Mapping Function
The mapping function is available on the XV panel configuration. With this option it is possible to ask
for one DCV200 or DCV250 a ten video second on event or when a programmable input triggered.
(Cf. Appli note_Prog_Input).
Example of an application using the mapping: a panic button is connected to the wired programmable
input…when the end user press the panic button, a 10 seconds video can be taken by a camera and
sent to the monitoring station.

10. Programmable Wired Output
One wired programmable output is available on the XV-IP panel.
To use and configure this programmable output, please read the application note ”Prog_Output”.
Example of an application using the programmable output: on intrusion, trigger a spot light for 3
minutes.
