1 Introduction
This is he manual of he Vidicode Call Recorder Apresa web in erface.
The Call Recorder Apresa is a sys em for sys ema ically recording VoIP
(Voice over IP) and digi al TDM elephone calls. The Call Recorder
Apresa can be configured in hree differen ways: o record every call
coming in or going ou , bu no he local o local calls, o record every
call coming in or going ou , including he local o local calls and o
record on demand, using dial code ac ions.
All recorded calls are saved o he Call Recorder Apresa’s in ernal hard
disk. The web in erface allows he user o view, playback and download
recordings made by de Call Recorder Apresa.
Recordings can be e-mailed manually. There is an op ion for encryp ion
of he recordings and wi h he Apresa Clien sof ware ‘Screen recording’
and ‘S ore on demand’ are possible.

2.1 Logging in
To access he Call Recorder Apresa, you have o open a browser firs .

In he example below he user has ‘Adminis ra or’ permission. This
means he or she has access o all calls, he Op ions menu and he Tools
menu.
2.2 Store on demand
There are differen ways o configure he recording in Apresa. Usually
all calls coming in and going ou of he organisa ion will be recorded,
including local o local calls. I is however a possibili y o record on
demand.
Wi h Apresa his means ha a dial code ac ion has o be defined. The
Apresa records every hing, bu will only save a call if he user orders i o
by using a dial code ac ion *5. Al erna ively The ‘S ore his call’ bu on
in he Apresa clien can be used.
Should he user decide ha i is necessary o record a cer ain call, he or
she presses *5 (or any o her code your Apresa Adminis ra or has
configured) on his elephone and he whole conversa ion will be s ored
on he Apresa server.
2.3 Screen recording
The Call Recorder Apresa Clien is PC sof ware for screen recording. The
Apresa Clien communica es wi h he Apresa server.
To use he Apresa Clien he user mus have an enabled Apresa accoun .
Only he organisa ions Adminis ra or can crea e or edi user accoun s.

To crea e a user accoun open he Apresa web in erface and log in as
adminis ra or. Open he Tools menu and go o he User screen. When
crea ing he new accoun , also specify he elephone or elephones
associa ed wi h he user. The adminis ra or should also enable screen
recording in he Op ions menu in he Clien sof ware (Please refer o he
separa e manual for he Apresa Clien ).
1.2.3 How it works
Calls o and from his elephone will be repor ed o he Apresa Clien o
rigger Screen recording. The Apresa Clien has o be ac ive, bu can be
pu in he sys em ray.
Screen recording s ar s when a call is ini ia ed or answered and s ops
au oma ically. The file is hen uploaded o he server and removed from
he clien s PC. In he Apresa server he screen recording is associa ed
wi h he audio recording and will be s ored wi h he audio recording.
To playback he audio and video oge her, use he ‘Download screen
recording’ bu on o download bo h files o your PC and use he
defaul media player o play back. You will be able o see wha
happened on he users screen while he had his conversa ion on he
elephone.
2.4 Search
To search for a recording wi h cer ain proper ies, click he Search

A search cri eria window will open in which you can inser your
parame ers.
Search op ions include: Da e, Da e range, Time, Time range, Direc ion,
No es, Local or Remo e Name, Local or remo e Telephone number or ID,
Local or remo e IP address. I is possible o search a specific ex s ring in
he No es field and i is possible o search for an exac ma ch.
Fill in as many proper ies as necessary o find he call or calls needed.
Then click he Search bu on

2.5 Playback
Wha you see in he web in erface is a lis ing of he calls. The ac ual calls
are on he Call Recorder Apresa. In order o playback a call, i needs o
be downloaded o your PC firs . There are differen ways o do ha .
1. Clicking on he Play symbol in he firs column of he
able,
2. by selec ing he call, and clicking he "Play" bu on. The call
will hen be downloaded o a emporary loca ion on your
compu er and played back by your defaul audio player, his
can be a s andard media player or he Vidiplayer.
3. In some browser configura ions, i is necessary o use he
"Download" bu on ins ead. When he call has been
downloaded, open he file, o s ar i s playback.
2.6 E mail
When an e-mail address is configured for your user accoun , i is also
possible o have he sys em e-mail he recorded call o you, by clicking
he "E-mail" bu on .

The e-mail has been sen by Apresa. I will show up in your mailbox wi h
he source address your Sys em adminis ra or has specified (Op ions –
Sys em se ings – E-mail ab – Source address) wi h he a ached
recording.
In he e-mail he search cri eria for he recording are s a ed. The name
of he recording con ains he da e and ime of day.
2.7 Notes
To each recorded call, a no e can be a ached. To wri e a no e, click
inside he No es column, ype he no e, and click OK

To edi a no e, he "Edi no es" permission is needed. Permissions are

2.8 Identifying callers
I is possible o fill in he names of he ex ernal and in ernal callers in
he call lis ing. To a ach a name o a elephone number, click inside he
"Name of remo e" or "Name of local" column, and ype he name.

3 The Tools menu

3.1 Contact list
The Con ac lis page can be reached from he Tools menu, when he
user has he "Access Con ac lis " permission
The Con ac lis lis s all in ernal and ex ernal callers whose calls have
been recorded. I is possible o edi he names in his lis , provided you
have he "Edi names" permission.
3.2 Active Calls
The Ac ive Calls page can be reached from he Tools menu. In his page
he calls ha are curren ly ac ive are lis ed. The page upda es
au oma ically, showing he new curren lis of ac ive calls.
