Vielen Dank für den Kauf des DV-5325 / DV-5325SS.
Diese Bedienungsanleitung dient der einfachen und sicheren Bedienung des Gerätes.
Bitte lesen Sie diese Anleitung vor Inbetriebnahme aufmerksam durch und beachten
Sie auch gegebenenfalls die angeführten Sicherheitshinweise.
1.1 Das DV-5325
1.2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Ventil ist für den gewerblichen Gebrauch konzipiert und konstruiert. Es dient nur
zum Dosieren von flüssigen Materialen wie Klebstoff, Paste, Fett, Öl, Silikon und ähnli-
chen. Jede andere Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Wird dieses Gerät für
andere Zwecke eingesetzt, kann es zu Personen- oder Sachschäden kommen.
Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für Folgen aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer
Verwendung.
Zu nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung zählen:
• Änderungen am Gerät und seinen Komponenten, die nicht ausdrücklich in der
Bedienungsanleitung empfohlen werden
• Einsatz nicht kompatibler, oder beschädigter Ersatzteile
• Verwendung von nicht zugelassenem Zubehör oder Hilfsgeräten
• Überschreiten der zugelassenen und empfohlenen Druckwerte
Das Rückzugsventil 5325 dosiert mittelviskose bis hochviskose Medien sehr genau.
Durch die kompakte Bauweise kann das Ventil in automatischen Linien und unter be-
engten baulichen Bedingungen eingesetzt werden.
Das Dosierventil wird pneumatisch angesteuert. Durch den Rückzugseffekt wird ein
exakter Medienabriss erreicht. Der Rückzughub kann über eine Stellschraube eingestellt
werden.

2.1 Allgemeines zur Sicherheit
Wird dieses Gerät für andere Zwecke eingesetzt, als in
dieser Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben, kann es zu
Personen- oder Sachschäden kommen.
Setzen Sie das Gerät nur gemäß der Anleitung ein.
Vor Gebrauch die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig lesen.
Tragen Sie immer die geeignete Schutzkleidung und
Augenschutz.
Rauchen oder offenes Feuer sind bei der Dosierung
brennbarer Medien untersagt.
Dieses Gerät ist nur für den Gebrauch in geschlossenen
Räumen vorgesehen.
Einzelheiten hinsichtlich der ordnungsgemäßen Hand-
habung und Sicherheitsvorkehrungen finden Sie im
Sicherheitsdatenblatt des verwendeten Dosier-
materials.

Das Ventil ist in der Ruhestellung geschlossen.
Die Material-Rückzugsfunktion ist bei dem Ventil einstellbar. Mit der Steuerluft wird
das Ventil geöffnet (1). Dabei fährt die Ventilstößeleinheit (2) nach unten und Material
kann über den Materialeingang (3) zum Materialausgang (4) fließen: Wahlweise kann
auch Hilfsluft (5) zum schnelleren Schließen (5) verwendet werden. Ansonsten schließt
das Ventil über Federkraft (6). Über einen kleinen Öler (7) kann eine Feuchtebarriere
aufgebaut werden, falls feuchteempfindliches Material dosiert wird.
Dosierdaten (für Wasser):
Kleinste Schussgröße 0,002 ml
Durchflussrate bei 100psi 2700 ml / min
Schaltfrequenz 700 Zyklen / min
Materialviskosität bis zu 1 Mio. mPas
Wiederholgenauigkeit ±0,2%
3.1 Einrichten des Ventils
(Zahlen nehmen Bezug auf die Zeichnung)
Neben dem mitgelieferten Luer-Lock Anschluss kann auch jede geprüfte 1/8“ NPT
Leitung verwendet werden.
1. Montieren Sie das Ventil auf die gewünschte Halterung
2. Schließen Sie die Materialleitung an (3) an. Das Ventil kann um 360° gedreht werden,
damit der Materialeinlass an der richtigen Stelle ist.
3. Schließen Sie die Steuerluft an (1) an
4. Geben Sie Druck auf den Materialtank (max. 34 bar !)
5. Öffnen Sie das Ventil mit Ihrer Steuerung, bis die Materialleitung keine Luft mehr
enthält. Es kann hilfreich sein, dazu das Ventil mit dem Auslass nach oben zu halten.
6. Setzen Sie eine geeignete Dosiernadel auf

3.2 Ventileinstellungen
Die Schussgröße und die Raupenbreite hängt von folgenden Faktoren ab:
• Ansteuerzeit des Ventils
• Materialdruck
• Materialviskosität
• Durchmesser und Typ der Dosiernadel
3.3 Einstellung des Rückzugs
Das Ventil hat eine einstellbare Rückzugsfunktion. Damit kann ein sauberer Fadenabriss
erreicht werden.
Beim Schließen des Ventils wird das Material in die Dosiernadel zurück gezogen.
Mit dem Einstellknopf kann dieser Hub beeinflusst werden.
An dem Einstellknopf sind zwei Rillen die den minimalen und maximalen Rückzug
markieren.

Wird der Einstellknopf zu weit eingeschraubt, bleibt das
Ventil ständig offen !

4 Wartung
4.1 Reinigung und Austauschen der Dichtungen
Demontage:
Benötigtes Werkzeug: Inbusschlüssel 2,5 mm, Seegering Zange.
Sollten Sie keinen Schlüssel mehr haben, rufen Sie uns an.
Wir schicken Ihnen umgehend einen zu.
1. Spülen Sie das Ventil zuerst mit Reinigungsflüssigkeit durch und trennen Sie die
Materialleitung ab.
2. Schrauben Sie die Hubbegrenzung (17) heraus. Nehmen Sie den Seegering, den
Kolben und die Feder heraus.
3. Ziehen Sie nun die Teile vorsichtig auseinander.
4. Nehmen Sie den Seegering (22) und die Unterlegscheibe (5) heraus.
5. Merken Sie sich die Einbaulage der Dichtung in dem Zylinder. Nehmen Sie die Dich-
tung heraus.
6. Schrauben Sie die 4 Befestigungsschrauben (2) vom Auslassblock (1) heraus und
nehmen Sie den Block ab.
7. Merken Sie sich die Einbaulage der Dichtung. Nehmen Sie die Dichtung heraus.
8. Reinigen Sie die Dichtungen und alle anderen Teile. Untersuchen Sie die Teile auf
Beschädigung und Verschleiß. (4,5 + 6). Tauschen Sie die Teile aus, falls notwendig.
9. Montieren Sie das Ventil wieder.

4.2 Austausch der Zylinderdichtung
Demontage:
1. Gehen Sie gemäß Schritt 1-3 vor, wie in„Reinigen und Austausch der Dichtung“
beschrieben.
2. Entfernen Sie den Seegering (7). Nehmen Sie die Nylon-Scheibe (8) vom Zylinder
(15) heraus.
3. Nehmen Sie den O-Ring (10) heraus.
4. Reinigen Sie alle Teile. Untersuchen Sie die Teile auf Beschädigung und Verschleiß.
Tauschen Sie die Teile aus, falls notwendig.
5. Fetten Sie den O-Ring (10) (Fett, Art.-Nr. 503372) und setzen Sie ihn wieder in den
Zylinder (15) ein.
6. Setzten Sie die Nylon-Scheibe (8) wieder ein und montieren Sie den Seegering (7).
7. Bauen Sie das komplette Ventil wieder zusammen.
4.3 Montage
1. Setzen Sie die Dichtung (4) in den Ventilkörper (6) ein. Benutzen Sie dafür einen
„weichen“ Stab z.B. aus Holz, um die Dichtung einzudrücken.
2. Setzen Sie die Unterlegscheibe (5) ein und sichern Sie alles mit dem Seegering (22).
3. Schieben Sie den Zylinder (15) in den Ventilkörper (6).
4. Setzen Sie die Dichtung (4) in den Auslassblock (1) ein. Schrauben Sie den Auslass-
block wieder an den Ventilkörper (6) an.
5. Setzen Sie die Feder (11) ein.
6. Setzen Sie den Dosierkolben (12) in den Zylinder (15) ein und sichern Sie alles mit
dem Seegering (24).
7. Schrauben Sie die Einstellkappe (17) bis zur ersten Markierung in den Zylinder (15)
ein.

1.1 The DV-5325
1.2 Intended Use
The device is designed and constructed for commercial use. It is only to be used for
dispensing liquid and paste materials such as adhesives, lubricants, various pastes, grease,
oil, silicone and other similar materials. Any other use is considered improper. If this device
is used for other purposes, personal injury or damage to property may result.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for consequences resulting from improper
use of the unit.
Non-intended use, which would also void the warranty, includes:
• Changes to the device not expressly recommended in the operating instructions
• Modifications to the unit and its components
• Use of incompatible or damaged spare parts
• Use of non-approved accessories or auxiliary equipment
• Exceeding the approved and recommended pressures
The DV-5325 Adjustable Mini Spool Valve is designed to dispense medium to high visco-
sity material with very precise deposits over a wide range of shot and bead sizes down
to a fraction of a micro liter.
An internal spring return makes the valve fully adaptable for use VC-1000 time/pressure
controllers. A short opening stroke provides extremely fast, positive shut-off. An external
adjustment makes it easy for the operator to fine tune“Suck-Back”.
The DV-5325s compact design allows for mounting flexibility and easy integration into
automated applications.

3.1 Setting up the valve
(Refer to illustration)
This installation uses Luer Lock adapters shipped with the valve.
Any approved material line with 1/8“ N.P.T. connections will work.
1. If desired, mount the valve to the bracket included (8).
2. Connect material feed line to inlet port (3). Valve segment with inlet port can be
rotated up to 360° to provide repositioning of inlet port. Caution: Do not turn inlet
port far enough to disconnect from Air Cylinder.
3. Connect valve actuating air line to valve port (1 ) and to an approved valve controller.
4. Pressurize material reservoir (Material pressure not to exceed 500 PSI).
5. Activate the valve until all air has been purged from Material Line. It may be helpful
to turn the valve upside down to purge air.
6. Attach desired dispense tip to the outlet Luer Lock adapter.

The DV-5325 is a normally closed spool valve with adjustable suck-back.
Air pressure through port (1) drives the spool assembly (2) forward opening the material
path from the material inlet (3) to the material outlet (4). Return air (5) or return spring
(6) reverses the spool assembly travel to close the material path.
An oil cup (7) provides a moisture barrier for the seal when dispensing a moisture
sensitive material.
3 Commissioning

3.2 Valve Adjustment
Shot size and bead width depend on the following factors:
1. Length of actuation, set at controller (Valve open time)
2. Material supply pressure at reservoir
3. Material viscosity
4. Diameter and type of dispensing tip

NOTICE
Turning the adjustment knob into the valve past the
minimum mark will cause the valve to remain open.
(see illustration below).
3.3 Suck-Back Adjustment
The DV-5325 Mini Spool Valve is equipped with a natural “suck-back” feature.
When closing, the valve will pull, or “suck-back” material into the material chamber thus
helping to prevent dripping. It is possible to adjust the amount of“suck-back”by turning
the adjustment knob on the back of the valve.
There are two notches in the adjustment cap that mark the maximum and minimum
“suck-back” settings.

4 Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning and replacing the gasket
Disassembly:
Required Tools: Allen key 2.5 mm, circlip pliers.
If you no longer have a key, please call us.
We will send you one immediately.
1. First flush the valve with cleaning fluid and disconnect the material line.
2. Unscrew the stroke limiter (17). Take out the circlip, the piston and the spring.
3. Now carefully pull the parts apart
4. Take out the circlip (22) and the washer (5)
5. Note the position of the seal in the cylinder. Remove the gasket.
6. Unscrew the 4 fixing screws (2) from the exhaust block (1) and remove the block.
7. Note the position of the gasket. Remove the gasket.
8. Clean the gaskets and all other parts. Inspect the parts for damage and wear. (4,5 + 6).
Replace the parts if necessary.
9. Reassemble the valve.

4.2 Replacing the cylinder seal
Disassembly:
1. Proceed according to step 1-3 as described in„Cleaning and replacing the gasket“.
2. Remove the circlip (7). Remove the nylon washer (8) from the cylinder.
3. Remove the O-ring (10).
4. Clean all parts. Inspect the parts for damage and wear. Replace the parts if necessary.
5. Grease the O-ring (10) (grease, Art.-No. 503372) and put it back into the cylinder (15).
6. Replace the nylon washer (8) and mount the circlip (7).
7. Reassemble the complete valve.
4.3 Assembly
1. Insert the seal (4) into the valve body (6). Use a„soft“ stick, e.g. made of wood, to
press the seal in.
2. Insert the washer (5) and secure everything with the circlip (22).
3. Push the cylinder (15) into the valve body (6).
4. Insert the gasket (4) into the outlet block (1). Screw the outlet block back onto the
valve body (6).
5. Insert the spring (11).
6. Insert the metering piston (12) into the cylinder (15) and secure everything with the
