warnings and instructions could result indamageto productnot covered underwarranty,damageto bicycle; orcausean
accidentresultingininjuryordeath.Sincespecifictoolsandexperiencearenecessaryforproperinstallation,it is
recommendedthatthe productbeinstalledbyaqualifiedbicycletechnician.FSA&Visionassumesnoresponsibilityfor
damages orinjuryrelated to improperlyinstalled components.

Full SpeedAhead(FSA)warrantsall FSA,Vision,MetropolisandRPMproductsto befree fromdefectsinmaterialsor
workmanshipforaperiodoftwoyearsafteroriginalpurchaseunless otherwisestatedinthe full warrantypolicy.The
warrantyis non-transferableandvalid to the originalpurchaseroftheproductonly.Anyattemptto modifytheproductin

Alwaysuseacalibratedtorquewrenchto tighten all screwsandboltswhenassemblingand adjustingthe
visionhandlebarto thebicycle.Failureto useacalibratedtorquewrenchcancausedamageto thehandlebarmakingit
unsafeto rideandis not coveredunderwarranty.Checkbolt andscrewtorquebeforeeachrideto ensuretheyhavenot
loosened duringuse.
PeriodicallyinspectyourAerboarsforanycracks,chips,scratches,andanyothervisibledamage.Inthe
eventofanaccidentdonot ridethebicycleuntil the handlebars havebeeninspected byan experiencedmechanicas the
aerobarsmaybedamagedorweakenedeven ifnovisibledamageisapparent.Ifthereisanyvisibledamage,the aerobars
should not beused anyfurtherand replaced.

Aerobarinstallation
1. Ensurehandlebaris compatiblewithsteerertube.Makecertainthatthe diameterofthe steerertubematchesthe VisionMetronSnakebiteStemSteererClamp size1-1/8 (28.6mm).
2. Install basebar ①to stemfirstbyselecting the desired basebarheight.TheMetronTFAAerobarBaseBar ①can havea+/-25mm drop orrisedepending onwhichdirectionthe basebaris placed inthe StemBody ⑤.
3. SlideMetronTFABaseBar ①into the slot onthe StemBody ⑤.Placethe ConicalBar/StemFixingNut ③into the twoholesimmediatelyrightandleftofthe housingportunderthestem.UseStemFixingBolt ⑥andscrewinto
the ConicalBar/StemFixing Nut ③.Torqueto 60 kgf.cm /6Nm/ 53 in.lbs.Note: becarefulnot to clamp brakehousing orelectronicwiring wheninstalling the StemFixing Bolts ⑥orConicalStem/BarFixing Nuts ③.
4. AssembleUpperAngleAdjustmentBracket ⑮and AeroExtensionArmrestMount togetherusing AngleAdjustmentBolt ⑳andAngleAdjustmentGripNut ⑭
5. SlideAeroExtensions
27 into AeroExtensionMount .Setto desiredlengthandrotationangle.Tighten AngleAdjustmentBolt ⑳to torqueof70 kgf.cm/7Nm /62in.lbs., then tighten ExtensionFixingbolts ⑲to 40 kgf.cm
/ 4Nm / 35 in.lbs..
Ensurethe minimuminsertionlengthindicationonthe AeroExtensions
27 (MIN^INSERT)is beyond the AeroExtension/ ArmrestMount ends.Riding the barwithoutthe “MIN^INSERT line insidethe mount
can causedamageandunexpected barfailurecausingaccidentand injury.
6. PlaceLowerAngleAdjustmentBracket ⑬underUpperAngleAdjustmentBracket ⑮making sureto alignthe wiring groves.Torque ExtensionWidthSpacerBolts ②to 70 kgf.cm/ 7Nm / 62 in.lbs.
7. Toadjustangleofaerobarextensions
27 ,Usea5mm hexkeyloosen twoorthree full turns all 4ExtensionWidthSpacerBolts ②then witha6mm hexkeyto loosen the AngleAdjustmentBolt ⑳until AngleAdjustmentGrip
Nut ⑭slides freely.Setto desired angleand tightenAngleAdjustmentBolt ⑳withAngleAdjustmentGripNut ⑭to 70 kgf.cm / 7Nm/ 62 in.lbs.TorqueExtensionWidthSpacerBolts ②to 70 kgf.cm/ 7Nm / 62 in.lbs.
8. Install Bridge
22 withBridgeFixingBolts
23 insuring thatwiring groovesonleftand right-angleadjustmentassembliesarebothfacing the samedirectionandback.Alternating torquebolts to 60 kgf.cm / 6Nm/ 53 in.lbs.
9. Install ArmrestAdjustmentPlates ⑰fordesired fit positionusing ArmrestAdjustmentPlateBolts ⑱.Torque to 20 kgf.cm/ 2Nm / 18 lbf.in.
10. See Table1forStackSpacers , ⑪, ⑫and bolt configurationto adjusttheAeroExtension/ArmrestMounts to the desiredheight.
11. Install ArmrestPad Plate
24,Evenlytighten ArmrestPlateFixing Bolts
25.Donot tighten above20 kgf.cm/ 2Nm / 18 lbf.in.
12. Removethe adhesiveVelcroStrips fromArmrestPads
26 andattachto thetop surfaceofleftandrightArmrestPad Plate
24 .
13. Install the ExpanderAssembly ④into the CarbonSteerer.Tightenthe ExpanderAssemblywitha6mm hexwrenchto 60-90 kgf.cm/ 6-9Nm/ 53-80 in.lbs.oftorque.
14. PlacetheStemBody ⑤onto the CarbonSteerer,tightenthe CompressionCap&Bolt ⑦witha4mm hexwrenchto until properbearingpreloadisachieved.Note: Properbearingpreloadisapparentwhenthereisno “knock
(fore/aftorup / downfreeplay)inthe headsetassembly,whilethe bearings rotatefreely(free steeringmotion).
15. Ensurehandlebarisalignedstraightandgraduallytightenthe SteererClampBolt
29 ,byalternatingturningeachscrews1/4to 1/2turnatatimesobothscrewstighten simultaneouslyto 60 kgf.cm/6Nm/53 in.lbs DONOT
exceedmaximumtorque specification.Always useacalibrated torque wrench.
16. Install StemTop Plate ⑧to StemBody ⑤useStemTopPlateBolt ⑨Torque to 10 kgf.cm /1Nm / 9in.lbs.
WiringInstallationTips
1. Brake/electronicwiring should berun throughtheMetronTFAAerobarBaseBar ①beforeinstalling StemBody ⑤orAeroExtension/ArmrestMounts .
2. Installationis greatlyimproved whenusingaguidecableto gentlypull the housing orelectronicwires throughthe basebarfromeitherdirection.
3. IfArmrestStackSpacers , ⑪, ⑫arebeingusedinconjunctionwithwiredelectronicshiftingonthe AeroExtensions ,useelectricaltapeto holdwiringinthe guideslotsonthe spacers.Small portsoneithersideofthe Stem
Body ⑤aredesigned ONLYto allowelectronicshifting wires to berun internallythroughthe StemBody ⑤ifdesired.
Neverattemptto modifythe cableguideholes.Donot drill,saw,orfilethe holeslargerorto adifferentshape.Modificationswill voidwarrantyandmayresult infailureofthe handlebarwhileridingcausingaccident,
injury,ordeath
.
AeroExtensionLengthAdjustment
Itmaybenecessaryto trimaeroextensionsifthe rearoftheextensionprotrudesbehindthe mount.Aerobars can onlybecutfromtherear.DoNOTcutthe aerobarsextensionsfromthe front.Cuttingaerobars fromthe frontwill
void the warranty.Makecarefulmeasurments beforecutting and besureofthecutlocation.Cutting an aeroextensionis aone-timeandfinaladjustment.
Donot cutbeyond the(MIN^INSERT)line indicators ontheextensions.Cutting beyond the line indicatorsmaymakeit impossibleto install shifters into the extensions.
1. Useasharp hacksawbladeforbestresults onalloyaerobars.Forcarbonaerobars,an abrasivebladewill work best.Applyalayeroftapearound area to becutto reducepossibilityofcarbonfraying whilecutting.
2. Useacutting guideforthe sawbladeto ensurean evencutofthe aerobar.Cutthe extensionto desired length.
3. Removeanyburrs orfrayed carbonstrands withsand paper.
4. Install shifterpershiftermanufacturer’sinstructions.
