General
All of the following safety instructions must be observed in full. Improper operation of the device can lead to dangerous situations for persons and
property.
Intended use
Your product may only be used as a height-adjustable table under observation of the
general due diligence and according to the intended use. Any other use increases the risk of accidents.
Qualification of the user
This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and / or knowledge, unless they
are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive instruction from this
person on the use of the device. Children should be supervised to make sure they do
not play with the device.
Foreseeable misuse
The following points must be observed to prevent the drive from overheating: An interruption
of at least 18 minutes is required after the maximum duty cycle of 2 minute.
No devices may be operated in potentially explosive atmospheres.
No liquid may be allowed to enter the plug connections.
Disconnect the power supply during assembly and maintenance work.
Before linking up your product to the socket it is necessary to read the general electrification note(Vitra. 710 254 24).
Make sure that the power cord is not damaged. The motor control unit may not be operated with a damaged power cord.
During a storm or before a longer absence, unplug the power cord from the power supply. Otherwise, the device may be damaged by surges in the
power supply.
Procedure in case of malfunctions
Immediately disconnect the power supply if malfunctions occur, e.g., development of smoke or odours, or unusual noises. Contact your Vitra specialist
retailer.

In spite of protections, there can be a danger of crushing because all components in the device work
together to shut o the motor, not just the motor control unit. Take people and objects within the
operating range into consideration when setting the height of the device.
Attach the sticker on the device near the power cord.

Commissioning/Decommissioning
Reset your device before using it for the first time by lowering it until it stops(Reset).
Drive up/down
Your device is decommissioned by
switching off the power supply.

Since the control unit automatically shifts into energy saving mode after a few seconds, this should first be
deactivated. Briefly press the up or down key.
Then press and hold the up and down keys simultaneously.
After 2 seconds, the reset process will begin - your device will begin to move downwards and this should
continue until it reaches its lowest position.

Memory Function
Saving a position
A specific desk height (position) can be saved using this function. 3 different positions can be saved. These saved positions can be reset later. (See
Adjusting the desk to a saved position.)
Adjusting the desk to a saved position
Press and hold 1, 2,3 or 4 until the desk stops on its own.
Note: If the position key is released before the stop position is reached, the desk will remain in the current position.
Raise or lower the tabletop to the desired position. The current height will be shown on the display (e.g. 73 cm).
Press the Save key. The display will show «S –» (e.g. 2).
Press the desired save position number. The display will show «S 2».
An audible double click will confirm that the saving procedure was successful.
After about 2 seconds, the saved tabletop height will be shown (e.g. 73 cm).
This function can be used to change the height shown on the display but not the actual position of the tabletop (e.g. when using a different panel
thickness than foreseen in the pre-programmed information). Note that this setting change does not alter the actual position of the tabletop. It only
affects the height shown on the display.
Press the Save key. The display will show «S -».
Press the down key for about 10 seconds. The display will begin to blink.
Now set the height using the up and down keys.
Press the Save key S. The height to be shown for the current tabletop position is now set.

Saving a container stop or shelf stop position
Using the up or down key, raise or lower the table to achieve the desired position of the new container stop or shelf stop position.
Press the S key. The display will show «S -».
Within the next 5 seconds, press the up key and hold it for at least 5 seconds. An audible double click will confirm that the saving procedure was suc-
cessful.
Deleting a container stop or shelf stop position
Using the up or down key, raise or lower the tabletop to the upper half or lower half of its movement range.
Press the S key. The display will show «S -».
Within the next 5 seconds, press the down key and hold it for at least 5 seconds. An audible single click will confirm that the deleting procedure was
successful.
These functions can be used to limit the distance the table will go up or down, e.g. if there is a container beneath the table.
Note: The container stop position can only be saved in the lower half of the table’s movement range and the shelf stop position can only be saved in the
upper half of its movement range.

Reverse cm(S 1)/Zoll(S 5)
Simultaneously press the 1, 2 and up keys. Hold them for about 3 seconds. The display will show «S 1».
Keep the keys pressed until the display shows «S 5».
Then press the S key.
