Improvingthequalityofindoorairisoneofthemissionofanairconditioner.Thisair
conditionerisequippedwithionizerorPlasmaDustCollector(Dependingonspecific
configurationofthemodel).
WiththeanionsgeneratedbyIonizer,theaircirculationoftheairconditionerfillstheroom
withrefreshing,naturalandhealthyair.ThePlasmaDustCollectorgeneratesanhighvoltage
ionizationzone,throughwhichtheairisconvertedtoplasma.Insidetheairmostofthedust,
smoke,andpollenparticlesarecapturedbytheelectrostaticfilter.
WhenturnsofftheunitonCOOL,DRY,AUTO(Cool)mode,theairconditionerwill
continueoperatingforabout7-10minutes(dependingonmodels)atLOWfanspeed.
Thiswillhelptodryupthecondensedwaterinsidetheevaporator,andpreventthe
breedingofmildew.
UnderAnti-mildewoperation,donotrestarttheairconditioneruntiltheunitiscompletely
off.

Thefollowingeventsmayoccurduringnormaloperation.

Thecompressorcan'trestartfor3minutesafteritstops.
TheunitisdesignednottoblowcoldaironHEATmode,whentheindoorheatexchangerisin
oneofthefollowingthreesituationsandthesettemperaturehasnotbeenreached.
A)Whenheatinghasjuststarting.
B)Defrosting.
C)Lowtemperatureheating.
Theindoororoutdoorfanstoprunningwhendefrosting(Coolingandheatingmodelsonly).
Frostmaybegeneratedontheoutdoorunitduringheatcyclewhenoutdoortemperatureislow
andhumidityishighresultinginlowerheatingefficiencyoftheairconditioner.
Duringthisconditionairconditionerwillstopheatingoperationandstartdefrostingautomatically.
Thetimetodefrostmayvaryfrom4to10minutesaccordingtotheoutdoortemperatureand
theamountoffrostbuildupontheoutdoorunit.
2. Awhitemistmaygenerateduetoalargetemperaturedifferencebetweenairinletandairoutlet
onCOOLmodeinanindoorenvironmentthathasahighrelativehumidity.
Awhitemistmaygenerateduetomoisturegeneratedfromdefrostingprocesswhentheair
conditionerrestartsinHEATmodeoperationafterdefrosting.
3. Youmayhearalowhissingsoundwhenthecompressorisrunningorhasjuststoppedrunning.
Thissoundisthesoundoftherefrigerantflowingorcomingtoastop.
Youcanalsohearalow"squeak"soundwhenthecompressorisrunningorhasjuststopped
running.Thisiscausedbyheatexpansionandcoldcontractionoftheplasticpartsintheunit
whenthetemperatureischanging.
Anoisemaybeheardduetolouverrestoringtoitsoriginalpositionwhenpowerisfirstturnedon.
4. Thisisanormalconditionwhentheairconditionerhasnotbeenusedforalongtimeorduringfirst
useoftheunit.
5. Thisiscausedbytheindoorunitgivingoffsmellspermeatedfrombuildingmaterial,fromfurniture,
orsmoke.
