Driver’sResponsibility
•Asthedriver,youareresponsiblefor
thesafetyandcomfortofthepassengers
duringthejourney.Therefore,donotdrive
thebusbeforeyouhavereadthisdriver’s
manual.Youmustbefamiliarwithall
theindicatorsandwarninglightsand
knowwhattodoifsomethingunexpected
happens.
•Asthedriverofthevehicle,youshouldbe
awareofthevehicleweightandloading
capacity.Seeinstructionsonwarning
stickers,thevehicleregistrationbookand
ontheidenticationplate.
•Asthedriverofthevehicle,itisyour
responsibilitytoforeseeanyhazardsthat
couldthreatenyourpassengers.
•Itisalsoyourresponsibilitytoensure
thatallthesafetyequipmentofthebusis
inplace.Thereforecheckregularlythe
workingorderofsafetybelts,emergency
doorandwindowopening,doorsensitive
edges,reextinguishersandrstaid
equipment.
•Thebrakesonthebusareoperatedby
compressedair.Neverdriveiftheair
pressureistooloworifyoudiscoverother
problemswiththebrakes.
•Payattentiontoanysteeringfaults.The
vehiclecanbesteeredevenifthepower
steeringisnotworking,althoughthe
steeringwillbeheavy.
•Nevercrawlunderthebusifitissupported
byajack.Useapprovedvehiclesupports
orasolidpalletincaseofpuncturesor
wheelchanges.
•Liftingdevicesandsupportsshouldstand
securelyonahorizontalsurface.The
wheelsthatarenottobeliftedshouldbe
blockedtoensurethatthevehiclewillnot
starttomove.
•Re-tightenthewheelnutsafter
approximately200km(125mi)ifthe
wheelshavebeenremoved.
•Tightenthewheelnutsevery6months
regardlessofwhetherthewheelshave
beenremovedornot.
•Followtherecommendedserviceand
maintenanceprogramtomaintainthe
bus’sconditionandsafety.
•Payattentiontoexhaustandfuelsmells.
Anyleaksshouldbetakencareof
immediatelyatthegarage.
•Thebustiresandrimsshouldbe
approvedfortheintendedloadand
speedinaccordancewithcurrentlegal
requirements.

Powertotheseconsumersisswitchedoff
around30secondsaftertheengineisshut
down,anditisthenswitchedbackononce
theengineisstartedanditsrevolutionsreach
atleast1000rpmfor10seconds.

withuptotwosingle-leafdoorsopening
outwards.Thedoorsarenormallyoperated
bypneumaticcylinders.
Thedoorsmaybeequippedwithasystem
protectingpassengersfrombeingtrappedin
thedoorwayduringopeningorclosing,this
systemhassensorsmeasuringtheairpressure
inthedoorsystem.
Note:Inthecaseofexcessivedropofthe
doorpneumaticsystemairpressure,the
“Doorfailure”warninglamplightsinthe
lowerrightcornerofthebusinstrument
cluster.
