When doing repairs on CoolAir stationary air conditioners only use the spare parts specified by the manufacturer.
Do not use third-party spares for repairs, since otherwise you will lose your product liability and warranty rights.
Special notes for vehicles with a power management system
You can connect the unit to the truck’s multiplier or directly to the battery. Please check the manufacturer’s mounting
specifications for the vehicle/cabin if connection to the multiplier is possible or allowed. If this is not the case the air
conditioner has to be connected to the battery.
This goes, among others, for vehicles built by IVECO, MAN und Mercedes-Benz.
We recommend using the accessory battery cable with item number 9100300027.
7.4 Recommendations and special notes
Things to note for trucks with power management

Note
When the vehicle is started or when several loads are switched on the display may briefly show the text mes-
sage “LO ” indicating the voltage drop.
1. Control panel warnings
The air conditioner control system features various functions to protect the unit or the battery. The activation of
a protective function is indicated on the display by the following codes.
7.5 Troubleshooting
Display messages
Message Description Cause Remedy
L O
The battery monitor signals under-
voltage. The compressor shuts o
immediately and the fans are shut o
after 20 to 30 seconds. The whole
system shuts o after 2 minutes.
The supply voltage is too low.
The battery capacity is insucient to
operate the system.

Short-term undervoltage: no action required.
➢
If the system shuts o: recharge the vehicle battery or
check if the battery monitor is set correctly.

The system signals short-term or
permanent overvoltage.
Short-term overvoltage can occur
when large electrical loads are turned
o. Permanent overvoltage occurs
when the power supply voltage is
inadequate.
➢
Short-term overvoltage: no action required.
➢
If the display message “HI” is indicated for a longer
time: check the truck electronics. Make sure the voltage
supply is lower than 30 volts.

The system signals a short-term
electrical overload and shuts the
compressor o.
The current power consumption of the
compressor is too high
➢
The short-term electrical overload is compensated by the
system by disabling the compressor. The compressor
will shortly after start up again.
The compressor is shut o. After 5
minutes the whole system is shut o.
The compressor (the cabin) is
excessively tilted.
➢
When the compressor is back in normal position, the
system can be switched on again.

2. Error messages on the control panel
A red flashing error LED indicates an error has occurred on the stationary air conditioner. The type of error is
indicated on the display by the following error codes.

Dismantle the suction grill.

befestigte Auslasseinheit.

Dismantle the air outlet unit fastened
with 4 screws.

Heben Sie die Auslasseinheit vorsichtig von
der Anlage ab.

Ziehen Sie den Anschlussstecker des Buskabels
von der Steuerplatine.
➢
Legen Sie die Auslasseinheit zur Seite.

Carefully detach the air outlet unit from
the system.
➢
Remove the bus cable connection plug from
the control PCB.
➢
Put the air outlet unit aside.

Replacing the display PCB
Diese Reparatur kann im eingebauten Zustand vom Fahrzeuginneren vorgenommen werden!
This repair can be done from inside the vehicle with air conditioner fitted in place.
