1 Introduction
1.1 Information on safety
It is important to follow these instructions in the interests of
personal safety. Failure to comply with these instructions
when operating the product may result in personal injury
and/or property damage. Failure to comply with these
instructions relieves WAREMA of liability.
Warnings are marked in the instructions with this
symbol or a similar symbol.
Read through the product instructions before
use.
Observe the safety, operating and maintenance
instructions.
Include these instructions if you pass the product
on to a new owner.
Keep the instructions until you dispose of the
product.
1.2 Information on the target group and
application of these instructions
Target group
These instructions are directed at people who operate, care
for and/or maintain the product.
The activities listed in the "Maintenance" chapter are only
permitted to be executed by a qualified specialist.

These instructions are an integral part of the following
product:
Venetrian blind 3.16/25.04
The instructions contain important information on the
operation, care and maintenance of this item. They
describe how to operate products with WAREMA standard
drives. Other drives and special solutions are not dealt with.
Permissible activities
Performing tasks on the product that are not described in
these instructions is not permissible. No other alterations,
additions, conversions or maintenance work is to be
carried out on the product other than as described in these
instructions without the written approval of WAREMA.
1.3 Explanation of the signal words
DANGER
Identifies an imminent danger that may result in
death or serious injury.
WARNING
Identifies a potential danger that may result in death
or serious injury.
CAUTION
Identifies a potential danger that may result in light
injury.
NOTICE
Identifies a potential situation that may result in
product or property damage.
1.4 Basic safety instructions
The safety instructions and warnings described here
are intended to safeguard your health and to protect the
product. These instructions must be read carefully and
followed.
Damage resulting from inappropriate use or the failure to
follow these instructions is not covered by the warranty.
Liability will not be accepted for secondary damage.
Potential danger from pull cords/chains/belts/cords
Children can become injured when the operating elements
are used carelessly. Young children can become strangled
by loops in the pull cords, chains, belts and inner cords
used to operate the product.
To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords
out of reach of young children. Cords may become
wrapped around the neck of a child.
Move beds, cots and furniture away from the cords of
window coverings.
Do not tie cords together. Make sure cords do not twist
and create a loop.
Pull cords/chains/belts/cords must be attached high
enough that there is a clearance of 1,500mm below
it and a fixed tension system/winding system must be
installed.
Risk of damage to the product
An additional load can damage the product and/or cause it
to detach from the wall.
It is not permitted to hold onto the product or to lean
objects against it.

2 Product information
2.1 Intended use
The following details apply to the following product:
Venetrian blind 3.16/25.04
The product is an internal sun shading system that may be
used for glare control and to provide visual privacy. Visual
privacy and the view out can be individually regulated.
The product is designed for use between glass profiles.
The intended use also includes observing these instructions
and adhering to the service requirements they describe.

3 Operation

Only operate the product if it is in technically
perfect condition.
Do not operate a product if it is damaged. Always
contact the specialist dealer and protect the
product against being operated as agreed with
the specialist.
3.1 the product with a ball chain

Young children can become
strangled by loops in the pull
cords, chains, belts and inner
cords used to operate the
product.
To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep

There is a risk of strangulation for children if these
safety systems are not installed. These safety
systems must be used at all times to make sure that
cords and chains are inaccessible to children.

Product damage from forceful operation!
When operating the product, excessive force
must not be applied to the operating element if a
resistance is encountered.
Stop operating/moving the element as soon as
you feel a resistance.

NOTICE
Product damage from carelessness during
operation!
The ball chain has no limit stop.
Stop the movement of the chain if the product
is lowered to the order height. Otherwise,
moving past the lower limit position may result in
increased operating forces.
Stop moving the chain when the slat stack
comes into contact with the top rail.
Movement
Pull on the ball chain.
The product moves in
the selected direction.
Tilt
Pull on the ball chain.
The slats tilt in the se-
lected direction.
The product moves in
the selected direction
when the ball chain is
activated again.
4 Maintenance
Proper and regular cleaning and maintenance and the
use of original spare parts only are essential for fault-free
operation and a long service life.
CAUTION
Risk of injury from falling from climbing aid!
Climbing aids may tip over if they are improperly
erected.
Position climbing aids on level and firm ground.
4.1 Cleaning
To ensure the longest possible life, we recommend
that you clean the surface of the product regularly or
at least once a year.
If the first cleaning takes place several years after
initial installation, the product or fabric cannot be
restored to its original condition.
Replacement claims cannot be honoured on the
grounds of these cleaning instructions because the
effectiveness of these measures depends on a large
number of factors that vary from case to case.
Always follow the manufacturer instructions when
using chemical cleaning products. In the interest of
the environment, it is recommended that you only
use 100% biologically degradable cleaning products.
NOTICE
Product damage from incorrect cleaning!
Incorrect cleaning procedures may result in damage
to the product or product parts, and the surfaces and
structures may be permanently altered.
Do not use abrasive cleansers or sponges and
solvents such as alcohol or naphtha.
Do not bend the slats.
CAUTION
Risk of injury from the edges of flat slats!
The flat slats consist of thin-walled material. The
edges of the flat slats may result in cuts to the hands
and lower arms.
When cleaning the slats, do not slide along the
edges.
When cleaning, do not reach through the slats.
Remove dust from the surfaces using a soft
brush or feather duster.

Clean the surfaces with a suitable cleaning
agent.
Operate the product and inspect the operating elements
for visible wear and damage (visual check).
Check the installation substructure for damage (visual
check).

Wear and damage to the operating element or fabric
and damage to the mounting substructure may lead
to impairment of the product.
Take the product out of service.
Have any damage corrected by a qualified
specialist.
4.2 Maintenance
CAUTION
Risk of injury from lack of product knowledge!
Have service tasks performed by a qualified
specialist.
The product must be maintained at least once a
year.
The maintenance tasks may only be performed
by a qualified specialist. We recommend signing a
service contract.
The WAREMA warranty becomes invalid if the unit is
not maintained properly at least once a year.
WARNING
Risk of injury through irregular maintenance!
Operating safety may be seriously impaired and the
product may fail. Persons may become injured from
contact with damaged parts.
Have the product checked regularly by a
qualified specialist for signs of wear and
damage,.
Do not operate products in need of repair.
Check the product for visible wear and damage. If
necessary, make a recommendation to the owner.
Perform a functional check and check the limit positions
of the product. Adjust the setting of the limit positions
if necessary (see the installation instructions and/or
setting instructions).
Check the tension of the cable guidance. Adjust the
tension if necessary.

To retain the warranty, maintenance must be
performed by a qualified specialist according to the
WAREMA maintenance checklist.
The maintenance checklist is available from
your specialist dealer or can be requested from
WAREMA.
4.3 Spare parts/repairs
CAUTION
Personal injury resulting from inappropriate repairs!
To be able to perform work on the product safely,
it is necessary to be familiar with its functions and
structure. A lack of appropriate product knowledge
may lead to dangerous situations.
The product should only be repaired by a
qualified specialist.

To ensure that your product will operate properly
on a continuous basis and to avoid changing
its approved status, use original spare parts
only. Contact your WAREMA specialist dealer if
necessary.
4.4 Warranty
Subject to the statutory period of limitation for warranty
claims. This requires regular maintenance. The warranty
does not include wear parts or optical changes in line
with the type of material used (e.g. bleaching of surfaces
caused by UV rays).

5 Dismantling
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to incorrect dismantling!
A lack of appropriate knowledge when dismantling
the product can lead to injuries and/or damage to
the adjacent parts.
Have the units dismantled by a qualified
specialist.
Dismantling of the product must be undertaken by
a qualified specialist. Ask WAREMA for any missing
documents before commencing maintenance.
Disposal
Should the product no longer be required, ensure that it
is disposed of correctly in accordance with the relevant
regulations.
Components identified in this manner should not be
disposed of with the household waste.
