INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ATV WINCH MOUNT
Mount Kit: PN 28878
Application: HONDA TRX 300, 4X4
WARNING
SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH MAY RESULT IF YOU IGNORE ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING.
•Read the Winch Operator’s Manual, ATV Operator’s Manual, and all warning
labels before operating the winch and ATV.
•Stay clear of moving parts and cable. Keep others away when operating the winch.
•Inspect the winch mechanism, fasteners, and cable, before operating. Replace all
worn or damaged parts before operating.
•Make sure the winch is deactivated when leaving the ATV unattended.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Place winch directly to mounting plate without using the combination mounting plate/fairlead
supplied with the winch. Looking at the ATV from the front, the winch motor would be on the left
side of ATV and drum rotation arrow will be facing forward, as pictured. Attach winch to mounting
plate using (4) 5/16 x 1 hex bolts and lock washers supplied with winch. Tighten bolts securely.
2. Place winch and mounting plate into frame as pictured.
3. Fasten rear of mounting plate using (2) 1” U-clamps (2) 3/8 x 2 hex bolts and (2) 3/8 hex nuts and
lock washers.
4. Fasten front of mounting plate using (2) ¾ U-clamps (2) ¼-20 x 1 ¾ hex bolts and (2) ¼-20 hex nuts
and lock washers.
5. Fasten cast hawse fairlead to front tube assembly as pictured, using (2) 1” x 1 ¾ U-clamps, (2) 7/16-
14 x 2 ¼ hex bolts and (2) 7/16-14 hex nuts and lock washers.
6. Make electrical connections using manual supplied with winch.
