INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
ATV WINCH MOUNT
Mount Kit: PN 38581
Application:YAMAHA WOLVERINE 4 x 4, 97-00+

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Place the winch mounting plate into position on the two fame tubes see figure 1.
Place the u-bolts around the frame tubes and through the mounting plate as shown
in figure 2. Attach the mounting plate with eight 1\4-20 hex nuts, and lock washers.
Only tighten finger tight at this time.
2. Remove the two lower bolts that hold on the skid pan. Attach the support straps
where the skid pan bolts were removed. Attach with the two M8 x 1.25 hex cap
screws and spacers, see figure 3. Do not fully tighten at this time.
3. Attach the top of the support strap on to the mounting plate with the two 5\16-18 hex
cap screw, hex nuts, and lock washers, see figure 4. Only tighten finger tight at this
time.
4. Place the winch into position in the mounting tray. The winch motor will be on the
right side of the ATV with the drum rotation label on the winch facing forward.
Fasten winch to mounting plate using four 5\16-18 cap screws supplied with the
winch.
5. The chrome, combination mounting plate and cast hawse fairlead supplied with the
winch, is not used in this application. The cast fairlead may be needed if a roller
fairlead was not purchased. Remove the cast fairlead from the chrome plate and
retain the hardware.
6. Attach the cast fairlead to the front of the mounting tray. Using the two 7\16-14 x 1
socket head cap screws and lock nuts that were removed from the chrome fairlead
plate in step five.
7. If a roller fairlead was purchased, attach this to the front of the mounting tray in place
of the cast hawse fairlead using the fasteners that were provided in the kit.
TIGHTEN ALL FASTENERS SECURELY AT THIS TIME.
