Surge Protection
For comprehensive protection of a luminaire installation against lightning and
electrical surges, it is essential to cover mains supply and data input lines at
the distribution board level, by using respective primary (Type 1) and
secondary (Type 2) surge arrestors in compliance with EN61643-11/
IEC61643-1.
Warning
Ensure that all required surge protection measures are in place and activated
prior to luminaire installation. Also, disconnect luminaires before operating
high-power devices such as, for example, electrical arc welders.
Do not open during installation
This product is factory-sealed.
Refer to the instructions contained in this
document for details.
Installation tools
Mounting hardware used on this product
includes fasteners with hexalobular socket
heads (ISO 10664). Installation requires the
use of matching tools.

Maintenance
Apart from cleaning the product’s exterior surfaces, no special maintenance work is required.
Do not use high-pressure cleaners.
To remove the head of the luminaire during maintenance, loosen screw D with a Torx T-20 tool and
rotate anti-clockwise until it can be lifted up.
If the head of the luminaire is returned after maintenance, align it to the bollard post as shown below
and secure by tightening screw D.
In case of component failure due to abnormal circumstances or at end of life, replacement must be carried out

Warning: Do not open the luminaire or remove the bollard head while mains supply is switched on.
The luminaire head unit Bis factory sealed, warranty will be void if opened without authorisation from WE-EF
Lighting or nominated agent.

Installation
The product must be installed and maintained by a
VXLWDEO\TXDOLƂHGSURIHVVLRQDOLQFRPSOLDQFHZLWKODWHVW
building/construction and/or electrical regulations and
relevant legislation.
Warning: Switch off and isolate the mains electrical
supply prior to installing and connecting the luminaire.

than the original manufacturer, then the warranty will
no longer be valid and shall become the full respon-
sibility of the modifying person/organisation. Claims
based on defects attributable to improper installation
and/or application, and the consequences thereof, are
excluded.
Installation Procedure
The luminaire is suitable for installation directly on
to an even surface, however it is recommended to
incorporate the optional planted root to ensure
maximum stability.
1) Switch off and isolate the mains electrical supply.
2) Checkthatrating shownon luminaire label
conforms with mains electrical supply.
3) A suitable recess to be provided for planted root A.

mains cable length are provided.
4) Remove head of luminaire B from bollard post C
after loosening screw D with Torx T-20 tool and
rotating it anti-clockwise until it can be lifted up.
5) Set cast base G in position and secure by inserting
and tightening bolts F and the post C is attached to
the base with retention bolts E.
6) As per Fig. 2 Connect luminaire cable H to mains
supply terminal block located on the gear tray

Wiring
is as follows and should match the
labels on the
terminal block:
a) ON/OFF
(L = Phase, N = Neutral, = Earthing)
b) 1-10V/DALI
(L = Phase, N = Neutral,
= Earthing, DA/DA = DALI control line,
D-/D+ = 1-10V control line).
7) Return head of luminaire B to bollard post C and
secure by tightening screw D.
