Product Information / Surge Protection
As an option, this luminaire can also be fitted with a surge protector of Type 2-
3 (at the time of order). The technical data can be found directly on the
installed device. If the surge protector has been triggered by an adverse event ,
the luminaire is automatically disconnected from the mains. In that case, the
LED on the surge protector no longer lights up.
For comprehensive protection of the luminaire against lightning and electrical
surges, primary (Type 1) and secondary (Type 2) surge arrestors must be
installed into the power supply. We recommend the combination arrestor
DS253VG-300 (Type 1+2+3) from Citel, which is installed in the control cabi-
net.
The technical planner/installer is responsible for the proper selection, sizing
and installation of the surge protection modules that must be provided on site.
Please note the various protection levels for Class I and II, as well as the
applicable statutory provisions regarding surge protection. Installation and
maintenance may only be performed by a qualified electrician.
Produkthinweis / Überspannungsschutz
Optional kann diese Leuchte (bei der Bestellung) mit einem Überspannungs-
schutz Typ 2-3 ausgestattet werden. Die technischen Daten finden Sie in die-
sem Fall direkt auf dem eingebauten Gerät. Wurde der Überspannungsschutz
im Schadensfall ausgelöst, wird die Leuchte automatisch vom Netz getrennt.
Bei eingeschalteter Stromversorgung leuchtet dann die Leuchtdiode am Über-
spannungsschutz nicht mehr.
Zu einem umfassenden Schutz der Leuchte gegen Blitzeinwirkungen und Über-
spannungen ist es notwendig, zusätzlich einen Grob- (Typ 1) und Mittelschutz-
ableiter (Typ 2) in die Stromversorgung einzubauen. Wir empfehlen den Kombi-
ableiter DS253VG-300 (Typ 1+2+3) der Firma Citel für die Montage im Schalt-
schrank.
Der Fachplaner/Installateur ist für die fachgerechte Auswahl, Dimensionierung
und die Montage der bauseits einzusetzenden Überspannungsschutzbausteine
verantwortlich. Bitte beachten Sie die unterschiedlichen Schutzpegel für die
Schutzklassen I und II sowie die geltenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften zum Über-
spannungsschutz. Die Installation und Wartung ist nur von einem entspre-
chend qualifiziertem Elektro-Fachbetrieb durchzuführen.

Installation
The luminaire should be installed and maintained by a suit-
ably qualified person in compliance with latest electrical
regulations and relevant legislation.

Installation Procedure
1) Switch off the mains electrical supply.
2) Check that rating shown on the luminaire label con-
forms with the mains electrical supply.
3) Feed the mains supply cable Athrough the cable grip B
and secure in position by tightening the two screws C.
4) Connect the mains supply leads to their respective ter-
minals in the terminal block D(N = neutral, L1 =
phase, = earthing).
If luminaire is designed in SKII the connection of the
protective conductor is not necessary. Make sure that
the cable SKII is inserted conform inside luminaire.
5) Slide luminaire over pole summit E, align as desired
and secure in place using the three locking screws F.
6) Release the four hexagon socket screws G, and remove
the top/reflector assembly Hby pulling it upwards.
7) Fit the appropriate lamp J, as indicated on the lumi-
naire label I, by inserting it firmly into the lampholder.
8) Reposition top/reflector assembly Hand tighten the
four hexagon socket screws G. Pay particular attention
to even tightness.
Montage
Montage und Wartung sollten nur von geschultem Fach-
personal mit entsprechender beruflicher Qualifikation
in Übereinstimmung mit den neuesten elektrischen
Installations- und Sicherheitsvorschriften durchgeführt
werden.

Vorgehensweise
1) Spannungsfreiheit der Anschlussleitung herstellen.
2) Entsprechend der Masthöhe zugeschnittene Anschluss-
leitung Adurch die Zugentlastung Bführen und mit
Hilfe der Schrauben Cbefestigen.
3) Nulleiter (N), Phase (L1) und Schutzleiteranschluss
an die entsprechend markierten Kontakte der
Anschlussklemme Danschließen.
Vergleichen Sie die örtliche Spannung und Frequenz
mit den Daten auf dem Leistungsschild.
Bei Ausführung der Leuchte in SKII entfällt der An-
schluss des Schutzleiters. Es ist zu beachten, dass das
Kabel SKII konform in die Leuchte eingefüht wird.
4) Leuchte auf den Mast Eaufsetzen, ausrichten und mit
den drei Gewindestiften F befestigen.
5) Innensechskantschrauben Glösen und Deckel Hmit
angeschraubtem Reflektorsatz abnehmen.
6) Setzen Sie ausschließlich den auf dem Leistungsschild
Iangegebenen Lampentyp J ein.
7) Deckel Hvorsichtig aufsetzen und mit Innensechs-
kantschrauben Ggleichmäßig verschrauben.

Lamp Replacement and Maintenance
Do not open luminaire while in operation or while mains
supply is switched on!
1) Switch off the mains electrical supply.
2) Remove the top/reflector assembly. Clean all exterior
surfaces, if necessary by using a wet cloth with mild
detergent.
3) Check gasket for damage and replace if necessary.
4) Replace lamp.
5) Follow item 8) on page 3) for instructions to close
luminaire.
Protect our enviroment: Discard used lamps in compliance
with the most recent environmental legislation.
Lampenwechsel und Wartung
Leuchtengehäuse nicht während des Betriebes öffnen!
1) Spannungsfreiheit der Anschlussleitung herstellen.
2) Deckel mit angeschraubtem Reflektorsatz abnehmen
und Abdeckung mit geeigneten Reinigungsmitteln
säubern. Dichtungen auf Funktionalität überprüfen
und gegebenenfalls austauschen.
3) Lampe wechseln (Lampentyp, -leistung und Sockel
müssen mit den Angaben auf dem Leistungsschild
übereinstimmen).
4) Deckel mit Reflektorsatz sorgfältig aufsetzen und
gleichmäßig verschrauben.
Für die Entsorgung der Lampe sind die zur Zeit gültigen
Umweltgesetze zu beachten.
