2 Safety instructions and warnings
To ensuresafe operation of the device, it is necessary to read the fol-
lowing safety instructions and warnings carefully and comply with
them.
The safety instructions summarized here arerepeated in the corre-
sponding chapters, where necessary.
2.1 General
2.1.1 Definitions
Studio operator
People who provide massage devices to users on a commercial basis.
The studio operator is trained to operate and maintain the device and
is responsible for the orderly operation of the device as well as com-
pliance with the maintenance intervals.
User/Patient
Person who uses the dry water massage device at a commercial loca-
tion.
Staff
People who are responsible for the operation, cleaning/disinfection as
well as general maintenance work andwho instruct the users in the
operation of the devices.
JK Factory Certified Technician
Level 1
Authorized toperform general maintenance such as replacing lamps,
aqua mist, and fragrance containers as well as overall cleaning of the
unit.
Level 2
Authorized toperform maintenance and repairssuch as replacement
of ballast,framed acrylic,electronic circuitboards, and other electrical
components.
Level 3
Authorized and trained to utilize JKProducts proprietary diagnostic
software to adjust operating parameters and perform detailed diag-
nostics.
Level 4
This individualis uniquely qualified to assess the condition of a unit
and make a determination if the device meets the requirements for
continued use ten (10) years from thedate ofmanufacture.
NOTE:
Each technician level is authorized toperform the
tasks of technician levels smaller in number to
theirs. E.g. a level 3 technicianis authorized toper-
form the tasks assigned to a level 1 and 2 techni-
cian.

Dry water massage device
In these operating instructions thedry water massage device is
referred to in the shortform 'device'.
2.1.2 Warning signs
Danger notices, nonobservance will lead to death or serious injury:
DANGER!
Type and source of danger, e.g. 'DANGER – High volt-
age!'
Description of the consequences, e.g. 'You canbe
killed or injured by an electric shock!'
Countermeasures:
– Disconnect device from power supply before
opening.
– Do not reach into the inside with thedevice
switched on.
Warning notices, infections, damage to persons:
WARNING!
Type and source of danger, e.g. 'WARNING – infec-
tions!'
Description of the consequences, e.g. 'You could get a
gastrointestinal infection!'
Countermeasures:
– Do not drink thewater.
– Wear industrial safety gloves if you might have
contact with the water (e.g. when venting).
NOTICE
ESD-sensitive components!
The word 'NOTICE' withoutwarning sign points out
that danger for devices, materials and the environ-
ment can be expected here.
Countermeasures:
– Avoid doing this.

2.2 Intended use
This deviceis used to administer a dry water massageto one adult us-
ing the programs described in these operating instructions. More de-
tailed information can also be found on pages 26 and 29.
Infants and small childrenup to age 7 may not utilize this device.
Childrenand adolescents from 8 up to and including 17years of age
are only allowed to use this unit inagreementwith a parent or guard-
ian or after consulting adoctor.
The devicehas been designed for private and commercial use.
The devicemay notbe used by people with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or who have insufficient experience and/or
knowledge without supervision. A person responsible for their safety
must ensure, either by supervision or instruction, that the device is
used correctly and safely. If there is any doubt, use of the device by
such categories of persons is to be forbidden!
A water cooling systemmust be connected to the device if it is to be
used for more than 1 hourper day at maximumpressure. Thepres-
sure hosesmust not be removed. Please contact the customer ser-
vice department withoutfail before putting thedevice into operation -
see page 2.
The devicemay only be operated with the pressure hose included in
the scope of delivery.
Any otheruse shall be considered improper. The manufacturer cannot
be held liable for damage or injuries resulting from this. The operator
bears the sole risk for this.
Proper use also includes compliancewith the manufacturer’s instruc-
tions and its operating and maintenance conditions. The device may
only be operated, maintained and repaired by trained professionals fa-
miliar with this device andwho have been informed of the dangers in-
volved.

2.3 Foreseeable misuse
The following uses of the device are explicitly prohibited:
The deviceis only to be used by one person at a time.
People with a body weight of more than 463 lb (210 kg) may not
use the device.
The devicemust neverbe used if it is empty.
Devices without a cooling system connected may only be used for
a maximum of 1 hour per day at maximum pressure.
2.4 Safety information for the dry
water massage system
2.4.1 Contraindications
The following people are not allowed touse the equipment:
Persons with:
Fresh wounds
Acute inflammations
Infections
Suspectedphlebitis andthrombosis (danger of embolism)
Severely painful muscle stiffness with additional myogelosis (only
target-ed, regulated and localprocedures with localtechniques)
The state after operations have been carried out on the vertebrae
at the point in time when sufficient posture andmobility stability
still cannotbe expected, i.e. in general the initial application is
only possible after 8 weeks at theearliest
The state after vertebral fractures, again initial application is only
possible after 8weeks at the earliest
Acute disease patterns, especially with radicularsymptoms, in
which high tensioning of the posture muscles is actually desirable
Painful vertebrae blockages with reactive muscle stiffness
Vertebral disorders with increased inflammation parameters
(spondylitis, rheumatic spondylarthritis)
Acute exacerbation of chronic symptoms
Bechterew'sdisease (inflammatory condition ofthe bone joints)
High-grade scoliosis
The state after hip joint and knee-joint endoprosthetic surgery 6
weeks post-op
Neurological disorders with motor and sensory defects
Haematoma in areas tobe treated
Chronic polyarthritis (chronic joint inflammation)
Functional vertebrae defects in patients with (medication-based)
coagulation disorders
In cases of adissociated form of sensory loss (restricted temper-
ature sensation)

Pregnant women
Epileptics
People with sensitivity to light due to illness, treatment or

2.5 User safety information
WARNING!
Danger of hearing damage!
Listening to music at a high volume canresult in per-
manent hearing damage.
– Do not set the volume too high.
Please observe the safety instructions and warnings in chapter 1.
Behaviour before, during and after use:
Remove all jewelry (including piercings) prior to use.
Remove cosmetics before using the device.
2.6 Safety instructions and warnings
2.6.1 Obligations of the studio operator
As the operator you are responsible for providing clear operating,
cleaning andmaintenance instructions and ensuring the intended use
and the proper operation of the deviceby means of training and in-
struction for the personnel.
Your operating instructionsmust enable the safe use and safe opera-
tion of the deviceand take into account the characteristics and exper-
tise of your company and also the national work safety and environ-
mental protection regulations.
2.6.2 Staff training
As the operator you are obliged to train your personnel and instruct
them in theestablished legal and accident prevention regulations. En-
sure that your staff have understood and observethese operation in-
structions. This applies, in particular to the
Information in 'Intended use' and 'Foreseeable misuse'

Cleaning, disinfection and maintenance instructions
– Please makethe instructions and additional information from the
manufacturer available to thepersonnel at their workplace.
– Regularly checkyourpersonnel'ssafety consciousness and
awareness of the risks, taking into account your operating instruc-
tions.
– You must ensure that the cleaning anddisinfection intervals are
complied with, in particular cleaning and disinfection after every
session.
– You must ensure that yourstaff provide your customers with ap-
propriate advice, in particular regarding the types of application,
possible risks and the operation of the device.
– Do not allow children toplay with the device. Cleaning and user
maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children.

2.6.3 Scope of delivery
Information regarding the scope of delivery is contained in the 'De-
scription' chapter on page 11.
2.6.4 Transport, assembly and installation

The deviceis delivered by a specialist companyand must be assem-
bled and set up by the manufacturer's own service personnel or by an
authorized service company.
As the operator you are responsible for abidingby the electrical regu-
lations applicable at the installationsite aswell as adhering to the
stipulated water pressure and the permitted coolant temperature, see
'Setup location'.
Assembly
DANGER!
Personal danger due to electric shock or burns!
– The assembly and electrical connection must
comply with the national regulations.
–The on-site electrical installation must be fitted
with an easily accessible all-pole isolating device
(master switch), complying with overvoltage cate-
gory III.This means that each polemust havea
contact opening width complying with the condi-
tions of overvoltage category IIIfor full isolation in
accordance with IEC 60447.
– Assembly, installation, upgrading orservicing of
the unit may only be carried out by personnel spe-
cially trained and authorised by JK-Global Service.
Information regarding the disassembly and assembly of the device is
available in the separate assembly installation. These assembly instal-
lations are intended solelyfor use by the manufacturer's service per-
sonnel or by qualified specialists authorized by the manufacturer.
Setup location
NOTICE!
Overheating from inadequate cooling!
The device might be damaged!
– Maintain the minimum distances from the walls! Dimensions are
given on page 78.
– Do not change, obstruct or block the air inflow and outflow to the
device or make any unauthorized changes to the device.
Salty air! Contaminated air!
Unit may bedamaged due to corrosion of the housing and of electric
components.
– Where possible, do notset up the unitat a swimming pool.
– Do not operate the unit in locationswith aggressive ambient con-
ditions (for example, with air containing chlorine, in an oxygen en-
riched environment).
Damage to the device possible!
Where there are great differences in temperature between the
transport route and the installation site the device may not be put into
operation immediately after being set up.
– Wait at least 2 hours before connecting the deviceto the power
supply.

Environmental conditions
Optimum ambient temperature:
between 59°F (15 °C) and ~ 90°F (~ 32°C)
Storage temperature: Between -15 °C (5 ° F) and +60 °C (140 ° F)
(the well,pump and the hoses must not contain any water)
Relative humidity: Between30 % and 75 %
Air pressure: between 794 hPa and 1060 hPa
Water and cooling conditions
Permissible water pressure (water inlet): 116 PSI / 8 bar
Maximum coolant temperature: 16°C (61 °F)
The deviceis not to be used outdoors.
The deviceis not suitable for operation in mobilefacilities (ships,
buses, trains or oil platform). The unit has to be adapted in order to
guarantee trouble-free operationwhen used in mobile facilities.
Adaptation of theunit is requiredfor operating altitudes greater than
6500 ft / 2000 m above sea levelin order to guarantee trouble-free op-
eration.
Please contact the customer service departmentbefore putting the
device into operation - see page2.
2.6.5 Commissioning
Initial commissioning will beundertaken by themanufacturer's own
service personnel or by an authorized service company. The device
will be handed over ready for use.
If the devicehas not been used for a longer period of time then it must
first be inspected by our customer service staff or by another author-
ized company before being put back into operation again.
The deviceis only to be used if itis working correctly!
None of the safety devices (e.g. switch) or safety warnings are tobe
removed or deactivated as this would impair the safe operation of the
device!
The unitmay only beput into operation if the wellhas beenfilled with
the specified amount of water.
The unitmay not be connected to the power supply during filling!
The unitmay no longer bemoved once thewell has been filled!
A water cooling systemmust be connected to the device if it is to be

vice department withoutfail before putting thedevice into operation -
see page 2.
The devicemay only be operated withthe pressure hose included in

A water shut-off valve mustbe used.
High frequency mobile communication systems can interfere with the
way the device functions.
Heat therapy devices (microwave therapy devices, etc.) installed in the
vicinity may lead to electromagnetic interference. Contact our cus-
tomer servicedepartmentif this happens – see page 2.

The device must be connected to the mains via an all pole master
switch. One power supply circuit (powersupply lead) may only power
one device.
Venting
The tank must be vented 3days after commissioning or after it has
been initially filled – see page 69. After this, venting is unnecessary
unless leakages occur and the tank has to be topped up.
The devicemay no longerbe used in the event of water loss (puddles
on the floor).Please inform our customer service department– see
page 2.
2.6.6 Operation and maintenance
Error-free operation, maintenance and service are required in order to
ensure that the health and safety of the users is not endangered dur-
ing operation and to ensure that thedevice is in a fault-free operating
condition.
Always abide by the information and recommendations given in this
operating manual. Please ensure that the intervals for the inspection,
maintenance and service are complied with. Maintenance work must
be carried out in accordancewith the checklist supplied by ourcus-
tomer service department.
Unauthorized modifications and changes to the device and its control
unit are prohibited. Failure to comply with this voids thewarranty!
To avoid hazards, the device must not be used if the mains power ca-
ble is damaged. A damaged mains connection cable must be replaced
immediately.
2.6.7 Decommissioning
The devicemust be disconnectedfrom thepower supply in order to
temporarily or permanentlydecommission it bypullingout the mains
plug.
You must abide by the legal disposal requirements when permanently
decommissioning the device.
2.6.8 Storage
Store the unit in a dry, frost-free location with a stable temperature.
The well,pump and hoses must not contain any water. Oncethe unit
has cooled off, pack it in plastic wrapping to protect it against
scratches.
Storage temperature between -15 °C and +60 °C (the well, pump and
hoses must not containany water).
2.6.9 Disposal
Environmental regulations –
disposal of batteries
Batteries contain heavy metal compounds.
Dispose batteries according to the national waste disposal laws and
in accordancewith the municipalwaste regulations.

Operating water disposal
The deviceis filled with normal tap water without additives. The water
can be drained off into thepublic sewage system after it has been
used.
Packaging
All packaging consists of100 % recyclable materials.
Disposal of old devices
The devicehas been manufactured using recyclable materials.
The JKProducts & Services will provide you with information on the
content or potential hazards of the materials used.
Disposal of consumable supplies
Dispose of consumable supplies and their contents according to the
national waste disposal laws and in accordance with the municipal
waste regulations.
2.6.10 Guidelines
wellsystem WAVE Touchwas built conforming to: UL
1795:2016Ed.5+R:25Aug2017, Standard for Hydromassage Bathtubs,
and is certified to CAN/CSAC22.2 No. 218.2.2015 Ed.2 Hydro-
massage Bathtub Appliances.
2.6.11 Export
This deviceis exclusively intended for use in the USA, Canada and
Central America, and may not be exported to other countriesand oper-
ated there! The manufacturer assumes no liability whatsever in the
event of non-compliance. High liability risks may occur for the ex-
porter and/or the studio operator in the event of noncompliance.
2.6.12 Technical modifications
The devicehas been constructed inaccordance with current safety
regulations. The illustrations and specifications on these instructions
are subject to technical modifications which are required in order to
improve the device.
Unauthorized modifications and changes to the device and its control
unit are prohibited.
Use only OEM spare parts.
Please use only original spare parts. Any liability for damage or injury
proven to be theresult of the use of non-genuine spare parts is ex-
cluded.

2.7 Signs and stickers on the mas-
sage device
Signs which warn of danger areas orgive important information on
components are attached to the device. Ensure that the instruction
signs are always clearly recognizable and easily legible.Any missing
instructionsigns or stickers mustbe replaced.

The name plate and the Serial-No. plate are fitted underneath the han-
dle at the feet end. They contain important informationfor identifying
the device (e.g. the serial number = Serial-No.).
