
1. Wash and dry your hands.
2. Set Variable Expiratory Resistor to
full open position.
3. Fill the Nebulizer with prescribed
medication. Use a Mouthpiece. If a
mask is needed, your medical provider
or respiratory home care company will
supply a special mask for use with the
Circulaire® II Hybrid System.
4. Connect one end of the Oxygen
Supply Tubing to the Nebulizer and
the other end to the oxygen outlet
valve located either on the wall (hospital)
or on the Nebulizer Compressor (home).
5. Set the flow meter for the outlet valve
on the wall to 8 L/minute. Note:
Nebulizer Compressors usually do not
have flow meters. If you are using a
Nebulizer Compressor, turn it on.
6. As soon as the gas flow starts, place
Mouthpiece into your mouth and
breathe in and out normally.
7. Adjust the opening on the Variable
Expiratory Resistor to a setting that
feels comfortable to you. If the
Elastomeric Reservoir fully collapses
during inhalation, you are receiving
maximum medication administration.
A small valve will open automatically
to give room air for the remainder of
your inspired breath
8. The treatment should take approximately
5-7 minutes for 3 mL of medication,
depending on the gas source.
1. Washand dry your hands.
2. Detach the Nebulizer from the Manifold.
3. Twist the purple cap counterclockwise
until it releases and detaches from the
Medication Bowl. Do not touch-
contaminate the inside of the Nebulizer.
4. Set the cap and bowl upright on a clean
surface and add medication.
5. Reattach the cap to the bowl by twisting
clockwise until the cap firmly engages.
6. Reattach the Nebulizer assembly to the
Manifold ensuring a snug fit.

The Circulaire® II Hybrid Nebulizer must be disassembled
and cleaned periodically in order to operate correctly.
Westmed recommends full disassembly and cleaning of
all components at the end of each treatment day. Refer to
Option #1
1. Wash and dry hands.
2. Disassemble the Nebulizer.
3. Wash all parts except Tubing (G), Filter (E) and
Manometer in Pep Kit (J) in warm water and liquid
dishwashing soap. Rinse in clean warm water. Place
Aerosol Reservoir (C) on flat end to drain excess
water. Allow parts to dry thoroughly before
reassembling. Connect Aerosol Reservoir (C) to
Circulaire Body (F).
4. Store in kit until next use.
Option #2
1. Wash and dry hands.
2. Disassemble the Nebulizer.
3. Rinse all parts in sterile distilled water except Tubing
(G), Filter (E) and Manometer in Pep Kit (J). Place
Aerosol Reservoir (C) on flat end to drain excess
water. Connect Nebulizer (H) and Tubing (G) to air
source and clear orifice. Allow parts to dry
thoroughly before reassembling. Connect Aerosol
Reservoir (C) to Circulaire Body (F).
4. Store in kit until next use
Option #3
1. Wash and dry hands.
2. Disassemble the Nebulizer.
3. Shake out excess medication. Connect Nebulizer (H)
and Tubing (G) to air source and clear orifice. Place
Aerosol Reservoir (C) on flat end to drain excess
water. Allow parts to dry thoroughly before
reassembling. Connect Aerosol Reservoir (C) to
Circulaire Body (F).
4. Store in kit until next use.
