Store the parts: 1) in their box; 2) in a dry place; 3) in
temperatures ranging from 40° to 90°. (Not on a cold,
possibly damp, cement floor.)
Inspect your furniture periodically for any loose glue
joints or screws, or any other problem which may
be affecting the stability of your furniture. Tighten or
repair as needed.

1) Glue the Front Apron (C) to the Left Front Leg (F) and Right Front Leg (G) into the side with the
single elongated hole. The slotted side of the apron and the side of the legs with two elongated
holes must face the same direction. The pocket drilled holes in the apron must face down.
Insert #8x2¼" Black Screws(L) into the pocket drilled holes in the front apron and fasten securely.
See FIGURE 1.

2) Lay out the Left and Right Side Stretchers (D & E) with the pocket drilled holes facing up. Spread
glue in the hole near the center of the Left Side Stretcher and insert the Center Stretcher (J) into
the hole so that front and back sides of the center stretcher are tight against the side stretcher.
Repeat with the Right Side Stretcher. The front end of the side stretchers will be farther apart
than the back end. Immediately wipe off any excess glue that drips out of the holes.

TOOLS REQUIRED: Phillips Screwdriver, Wood Glue, Hammer

4) Spread glue in the elongated holes in the Front Leg Assembly. Attach the leg assembly to the
aprons and side stretchers. Tap firmly in place.
DO NOT LAY THE CHAIR ON IT’S BACK WHEN TAPPING THE FRONT LEG ASSEMBLY IN
PLACE AS YOU MAY DAMAGE THE BACK. Quickly remove any glue that may drip out of the
holes.
Insert #8 x 2¼" Black Screws(L) into the pocket drilled holes in the bottom of the side stretchers
and fasten securely.
3) Spread glue in the lower elongated holes in the Back Leg Assembly (A). Insert the stretcher
assembly, with the pocket drilled holes facing down into the holes.
Spread glue in the upper elongated holes in the back legs. Tap the ends of the Side Aprons (B),
with the grooves facing in, into the holes.

5) Before attaching corner blocks, verify that the side aprons are seated snugly against the front and
back legs. Spread a light layer of glue in the upper and lower notches of a Back Corner Block (H)
and insert in the grooves in the back and side aprons. Fasten in place with four #8x1" Pan Head
Screws (K) through the predrilled holes. Repeat with the other back corner block.
Repeat with the Front Corner Blocks (I) into the front and side aprons.
6) Attach the seat of your choice using the appropriate instructions.

Gluing Hints
1. We strongly recommend that you first lay out all the parts
and familiarize yourself with how they fit together before
assembling with glue. Glue will set up quickly and can cause
damage to the parts if you try to reposition any that have
been assembled incorrectly.
2. Glue usually takes several hours to cure (or harden) but it will
sometimes set up, or grab, in several seconds. Therefore,
once you begin final assembly, be sure to proceed quickly
and diligently.
3. We recommend that you use a good wood glue, such as
Elmer’s Wood Glue or White Glue, Titebond Wood Glue
or the equivalent; unless the instructions call for a special
type such as a slow drying epoxy glue. Carefully read the
glue manufacturer’s label and follow all instructions.
4. Be sure the holes are clear of any dust so the glue will have a clean surface to
adhere to. Blowing in the holes before gluing is recommended, but be sure to
protect your eyes.
5. Avoid getting glue on surfaces that are finished! Wet glue can be wiped off
with a damp cloth.
6. Do not over glue! It is important to apply an even coat inside all holes and slots.
Use a small dowel, Q-tip or pencil to spread glue evenly around the inside of the
holes. Because of the fit of the spindles or dowels in the holes, the spindle or
dowel pushes glue to the bottom of the hole. If too much glue is used, it will fill the
hole and not allow the spindle or dowel to go all the way in.
