Store the parts: 1) in their box; 2) in a dry place; 3) in
temperatures ranging from 40° to 90°. (Not on a cold,
possibly damp, cement floor.)
Inspect your furniture periodically for any loose glue
joints or screws, or any other problem which may
be affecting the stability of your furniture. Tighten or
repair as needed.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
TOOLS REQUIRED: Phillips Screwdriver, Wood Glue, Hammer
1) Spread glue in the three dowel holes in the Left Front Leg (EE). Tap 3/8" Dowels (K) securely into
the two upper holes and 2¼" Dowel (O) into the lower hole. Repeat with the Right Front Leg (FF).
Spread glue in the holes near the middle of the Side Stretchers (DD & QQ). Tap a 3/8" Dowel (K)
into each side stretcher.
Spread glue in the dowel hole in each Back Leg (AA) and insert a 1/2" Dowel (O).
Glue the Front Apron (CC) to the Left Front Leg (EE) and the Right Front Leg (FF). The elongated
holes in the legs and the groove in the apron should both face back. The top of the apron should sit
flush with the top of the legs. Making sure that the front legs are tightly against the front apron, insert
an #8x2¼" Black Screw(N) into the single holes and fasten securely. See FIGURE 1A.

2) NOTE: The side stretchers and the center stretcher each have a groove running along the
bottom edge to aid in assembly.
Lay out the Side Stretchers (DD & QQ) and the Center Stretcher (PP) with grooves facing up and
the angles on the back edge match the back legs. See FIGURE 2. Spread glue in each end of the
center stretcher and attach to the side stretchers. Make sure that the center stretcher is level with
and tight against the side stretchers.

3) Spread glue in the dowel holes in angled ends of the Side Stretchers (DD & QQ) and attach to
back leg assembly, grooves down, with the square edge towards the front.
Spread glue in the elongated holes in the back legs. Tap the angled ends of the Side Aprons (BB)
into the elongated holes with the grooves facing in.

4) Spread glue in the elongated holes in the front leg assembly and the holes in the front end
of the side stretchers. Attach the front leg assembly to the aprons and side stretchers. Tap
firmly in place. DO NOT LAY THE CHAIR ON ITS BACK WHEN TAPPING THE FRONT LEG
ASSEMBLY IN PLACE AS YOU MAY DAMAGE THE BACK. Quickly remove any glue that may
drip out of the holes.

5) Before attaching corner blocks, verify that the side aprons are seated snugly against the front and
back legs. Spread a light layer of glue in the upper and lower notches of a Back Corner Block
(GG) and insert in the grooves in the back and side aprons. Fasten in place with four #8x1" Pan
Head Screws (MM) through the predrilled holes. Repeat with the other back corner block. See
FIGURE 5.
Spread a light layer of glue in both notches in a Front Corner Block (HH) and insert in the grooves
in the side and front aprons. Fasten in place with #8x1" Pan Head Screws (MM). Repeat for the
other front corner block. See FIGURE 5A.
Glue a 3/8" Wood Button (R) into the hole in the side of each front leg.
6) Attach the seat of your choice using the appropriate instructions.
