made in Sweden by specialists with more than 40 years experience of air purication and lter construction.
This results in patented, Swedish products with maximum purication levels and minimal maintenance, noise

Using your Wood’s
air purier
Wood’s proudly present ELFI, the all new, Swedish made, air purier series! Together with Swedish experts with more than
40 years experience, Wood’s has developed truly unique air puriers with very high purications level and very low noise
levels and energy consumption. The lter technique used in Wood’s air puriers has a Swedish patent and is used where
the demands of powerful and ecient air purication are very high, without compromising with energy consumption
or noise levels. Our customers can be found in a vast variety of businesses and walks of life; from the food industry and
healthcare to private households and small business owners. In short, our costumers are everybody who takes their health
seriously! Our extensive experience of research and manufacturing results in patented air-cleaning products with maxi-
mum purication levels and minimal maintenance, sound level and expenses.
Wood’s air puriers clean the air with a light electrical charge. This means that Wood’s doesn’t have to use dense lters to
catch particles and air pollution. Therefore, Wood’s air puriers are very low on power consumption and noise level, as no
large and noisy fans are needed to circulate the air in the room.
Wood’s air puriers are made in Sweden and have a 95-100% purication level. Wood’s air puriers are of top quality and
capacity and are delivered with a 10 years warranty plan.
Air purier doesn’t start.
• Check that it is connected to power
source and that it is switched on.

Daily, we inhale larger amounts of harmful particles in our homes. Wood’s air puriers remove 95-100% of all pollen, dust,
sot, exhaust fumes, bacteria and mould spores from the indoor air and provide an instant relief for people suering from
allergies and asthma. People who aren’t sick are also aected by air pollution and will notice the dierent when the air is
kept free from particles and pollution using a Wood’s air purier. Wood’s air puriers also remove radioactive radon daugh-
ters from the indoor air and prevent diseases from spreading in the workplace or in your home.
High amounts of particles and pollution is unfortunately a common problem in most cities and inhaling these pollution can
impair the lung capacity of children and even lead to serious diseases for adults. The problem increases when the outside
air is dry during the winter. An air purier from Wood’s guarantees a healthy indoor environment, no matter where you use
it and you can improve the air quality before it aects your health.
Wood’s air puriers are very easy to use. Place the air purier on a level ground in the middle of the room. Plug it in to an
earthed power source and choose preferred fan speed. The Wood’s ELFI 400 lets you choose between two fan speeds; a
higher fan speed means higher air ow and faster purication but also slightly higher power consumption and noise level.
• When the air purier is running, the green light on the front of the machine is lit.
• When the light ashes in red, a lter change is due.
• Read more about changing the lter in Filter chapter.
• For best capacity, place the air purier in the centre of the room. Make sure that the air ow isn’t blocked as this will
reduce the machine’s capacity.

Workings of your
Wood’s air purier
The Wood’s ELFI 400 circulates the air through the room with a small fan. It is usually recommended that the air purier
is powerful enough to circulate the air through the room twice every hour for best air purication. The unit is therefore
recommended for rooms up to 80m2.
When the air is circulated in the room and passed through the ionization part of the air purier they are charged with a
positive charge. The particles in the air now have a positive charge, which makes them stick together. This increases their
size and makes them more easily caught.
The ionized lter media is places in the next coming part of the purier. The electrical charge of the lter media attracts
and catches the charged particles. This technique allows low density of the lter media and a very high level of purication
at low energy consumption and noise level. By using an electrical charge to separate the particles from the air, Wood’s
doesn’t have to rely on the density of the lter to receive a high level of purication. This means that no noisy and energy
consuming fans are needed to circulate the air, which is needed in puriers using traditional lter of the same capacity.
Carbon lters:
It also possible to equip the Wood’s ELFI 400 with a carbon lters to rid the air from unpleasant gases and odours from to-
bacco smoke, wood burning, garages, garbage rooms etc. This combined method of air purication guarantees the clean-
est, healthiest and most pleasant indoor environment. The carbon lters are custom made to t the Wood’s ELFI 400 and
are placed directly outside of the particle lters. This ensures the longest operating life of the carbon lters as all particles
are caught in the particle lters before the air pass through the carbon lters, ridding the air from gases and odours.

Wood’s air puriers are easy to clean and maintain. If needed, use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the purier.
Avoid using solvents or strong cleaners as this may damage the surface of the air purier.
Filter change
The lters used in the Wood’s ELFI 400 needs to be changed regularly due to their ionization.
• When a lter change is due, the small light on the front of the air purier changes from a solid green to a ashin red light.
• Switch the air purier o by its main power switch on the back of the dehumidier and unplug it from the power source.
• Open the air purier by turning the top wooden panel slightly clockwise.
• Remove the two consumed lters.
• Insert the new lters as marked by the arrows on the lters.
• Close the air puriers and reconnect it to the power source.

Careless handling or unauthorized alteration of the chord or electronics of the air purier could
void the warranty. The warranty is only valid upon production of a receipt.

Luftrenaren startar inte
• Kolla att den är kopplad till en strömkälla
samt att luftrenaren är påslagen.
• Kolla att topplocket är ordentligt stängt.
• Kontrollera säkringen på baksidan av
luftrenaren.
Ingen luft kommer från luftrenaren
• Se till att luftödet inte är blockerat.
• Flytta luftrenaren från angränsande ytor.
Oljud kommer från luftrenaren
• Se till att luftrenaren inte är i kontakt med
närliggande ytor eller objekt.

välj önskad äkthastighet. Wood’s ELFI 400 har två äkthastigheter, en högre äkthastighet innebär högre luftgenom-
strömning och snabbare luftrening men också en något högre energiförbrukning och ljudnivå.
• En grön lampa lyser på maskinens framsida när luftrenaren arbetar.
• När lampan blinkar rött betyder det att det är dags att byta lter.

• Se till att luftödet inte blockeras då det minskar luftrenarens kapacitet.

Så fungerar din
Wood’s luftrenare
Wood’s ELFI 400 cirkulerar luften i rummet och genom luftrenaren med hjälp av en äkt. Vi rekommenderar att luftrenaren
är kraftfull nog att cirkulera luften i rummet två gånger per timma, därför rekommenderas Wood’s ELFI 400 för rum upp till
80m2. När luften passerar genom luftrenarens främre del, joniseringsdelen, laddas partiklarna i luften med en positiv spän-
ning. Partiklarna i luften är nu positivt laddade vilket gör att de fastnar vid varandra och blir större.
I nästkommande del av luftrenaren, avskiljardelen, sitter det joniserade ltermediet. Filtermediets svaga elektriska laddn-
ing gör att partiklarna i luften, som nu är positivt laddade, dras till och fastnar vid trådarna i ltermediet. Tack vare denna
teknik kan Wood’s använda sig av relativt glesa lter och ändå uppnå samma eller högre grad av luftrening som täta, hög-
klassade lter. Det betyder att Wood’s luftrenare inte behöver ha bullriga och energislukande äktar för att cirkulera luften
genom rummet vilket behövs i luftrenare med traditionella lter med samma kapacitet.
Kollter
Du kan även utrusta Wood’s ELFI 400 med ett kollter och ta bort alla obehagliga lukter och gaser ur luften från exempelvis
tobaksrök, vedeldning, garage eller soprum. Denna kombinerade luftreningsmetod garanterar den renaste, hälsosam-
maste och mest behagliga inomhusmiljön!
Kolltren är specialtillverkade för att passa Wood’s ELFI 400 och sitter direkt utanför partikelltrena. På så sätt renas luften
från partiklar innan den passerar genom kolltren. På så sätt garanteras längsta möjliga livslängd av kolltren eftersom alla
partiklar har renats från luften innan den passerar genom kolltren som renar luften från obehagliga lukter och gaser.

Wood’s luftrenare är enkla att sköta och underhålla. Blir utsidan av luftrenaren smutsig torkar du bäst rent den med en
fuktig trasa. Undvik att använda lösningsmedel eller starka rengöringsmedel då det kan skada luftrenarens yta.
FIlterbyte
Wood’s ELFI 400 har joniserade lter vilket gör att de behöver bytas regelbundet.
• När det är dags att byta ltret blinkar indikationslampan på fronten rött.
• Stäng av luftrenaren på strömbrytaren på baksidan av luftrenaren och koppla ur luftrenaren från eluttaget.
• Öppna luftrenaren genom att vrida locket försiktigt motsols.
• Ta ut de två förbrukade ltrena.
• Sätt i ett nytt lter enligt markeringarna på ltret.
• Stäng locket och koppla in luftrenaren till eluttaget igen.

OBS:
Vårdslöst handhavande eller obehörig förändring av luftrenarens sladd och elektronik kan allvarligt skada
luftrenaren och göra att garantin blir ogiltig. Garantin är bara giltig mot uppvisande av kvitto.

Som med alla elektriska apparater är det viktigt att alltid hålla ett säkerhetsavstånd från vatten.
