Motion detection: This doorbell is able to detect human movements within range of its infrared sensor,
and record videos to send to a paired phone.
Infrared night vision: The doorbell can automatically switch to night vision mode when it is dark in
response to changes in ambient light.
Video call: When someone rings the doorbell, the paired phone will receive a notification and allow you
to have a video call with the visitor.
Doorbell sharing: The doorbell can be shared with others via the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. The user
whom the doorbell is shared with needs to download and install the app and sign in with a Xiaomi
account.

Precautions
Doorbell is not waterproof, and do not use in outdoor environments.
Please install the doorbell in areas within the range of Wi-Fi coverage, and place the doorbell where the
Wi-Fi signal is strong.
This doorbell does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Avoid exposing the lens to direct sunlight to prevent from recording abnormal images.
Once infrared night vision is set to automatic, a slight "clicking" sound will be made due to the
doorbell's auto switch of infrared cut-o filter when the infrared night vision is activated and
deactivated. This is normal.

1Connecting with Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app
This product works with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app*. Use the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app to
control your device, and to interact with other smart home devices.
Scan the QR code to download and install the app. You will be directed to the connection setup
page if the app is installed already. Or search "Mi Home/Xiaomi Home" in the app store to download
and install it.
Adding a device

Open the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, tap the icon "+" in the upper right corner, and then tap
"Scan". Scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell to add the device according to the
instructions given in the app.
Note: The version of the app might have been updated, please follow the instructions based on the
current app version.
* The app is referred to as Xiaomi Home app in Europe (except for Russia). The name of the app
displayed on your device should be taken as the default.

3Installing chime
Notes: Please install the chime as close to the doorbell as possible.
Power adapter is sold separately.
Press: Cycle through the volume levels.
Press and hold for three seconds: Doorbell chime will enter pairing mode after one beep. In this mode, the chime will wait for
about 100 seconds at most until pairing is successful. If the doorbell chime is not paired successfully within 100 seconds, it
will beep twice and exit pairing mode.

After powering on the chime, enter the page of Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3 in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
Tap three-dot icon in the upper right corner, go to Doorbell settings > Indoor chime settings > Connect to
the doorbell chime, and then follow the instructions in the app to complete the connection.
Scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell to add the device according to the instructions given in the app.

Install the chime indoors and directly use the power adapter and supplied Type-C charging cable to power the chime.The
doorbell and chime were paired before leaving the factory. Press the doorbell button once the installation is complete and
the chime will play a notication sound, indicating that it is connected. There are four volume levels, and press the volume
button on the chime to adjust it.

Selecting an installation location
Recommended installation height: The vertical distance between the lens and the floor
should be approximately 140–160 cm. Select the installation
location before fixing the mounting base.

Installation
Using double-sided tap
(suitable for smooth wooden or metallic surfaces)
a. Select a suitable installation location and drill four holes with a diameter of
approximately 6 mm in line with the mounting base openings.
b. Insert wall plugs into the four holes.
c. Fix the mounting base to the wall with the self-tapping screws.
d. Install the doorbell in the correct direction onto the mounting base.
a. Clean the installation location so that it is flat, smooth, and dust-free.
b. Peel o the release liner from the double-sided tape and stick the mounting
base on the selected location with the arrow pointing upwards. Then press it

a. Insert removal pin into the removal hole on top of the doorbell.
b. Push the doorbell upwards to remove it from the base.
c. Charge using the Type-C charging cable. Doorbell is fully charged when the
charging indicator remains on.
d. Install the doorbell in the correct direction onto the mounting base.
Note: The charging time is about 3.5 hours using a power adapter with an output
current over 2 A, which is recommended. Charging will take longer if the output
current is less than 2 A. (Power adapter is sold separately.)
Note: Turn o the forced removal alarm on the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app
before removal.
