the power OFF aer use.

(Concerning the Battery)
Be sure to observe the following precautions.
∙ This product uses AA alkaline dry-cell batteries or NiMH (nickel metal
hydride) rechargeable batteries.
∙ Be sure to observe the precautions printed on the batteries.
∙ Check the orientation of the + and - poles before inserting the batteries.
∙ When replacing a battery, be sure to use a new battery of the same type
and the same brand.
∙ Remove dead batteries promptly.
∙ Use batteries before their recommended expiration dates.
∙ When using NiMH (nickel metal hydride) rechargeable batteries, read the
instruction manuals of the batteries and charger, and use them correctly.

battery heating, rupture, or uid leakage.
The use of lithium batteries will void the product warranty. Such batteries
may also damage the product.

GETTING STARTED
Inserting Batteries
1. Slide the reservoir as shown in the gure to remove it.
2. Rotate the lock mechanism on the battery cover counterclockwise to the unlock position, then remove the battery cover from the main unit.
3. Insert AA batteries as shown in the gure. AA alkaline dry-cell batteries are provided with the product for trial purposes.
4. Press the battery cover in place so the arrow on the cover matches the arrow on the main unit, then rotate the battery cover lock knob clockwise.
If the water pressure drops while the product is operating, replace the batteries. The product can be used around 40 times aer the batteries are replaced.
However this varies depending on the battery type and conditions of use.
Important
When replacing the batteries, apply commercially available lubricant to the O-ring and battery case.
Apply a thin, even coat of commercially available lubricant to the O-ring (black waterproof rubber ring) on the inside of the battery cover.
Apply a thin, even coat of commercially available lubricant to the parts of the battery case cover on the main unit side which the O-ring contacts as shown in the
gure.

It is recommended that this product be used aer you brush your teeth. Guideline for use: 2 times/day
Filling the Reservoir
Open the reservoir cap and ll the reservoir with cold water or warm water.
Inserting and Removing Tips
Insert the tip into the insertion hole located on the top of the Water Flosser main unit. When the tip is locked correctly in the designated position,
the colored part at the center of the tip will be perfectly aligned with the top of the main unit. To remove the tip from the handle, press the tip
eject button and pull tip from handle.
Adjusting the Pressure Setting
Simply slide the power/water pressure adjustment switch to adjust the Water Flosser pressure setting.
Slide the power switch up and align it with (I) for low pressure. Align it with (II) for a high-pressure water jet. Use the product in accordance with
instructions from a dentist.
Recommended Technique
Lean low over sink and place the tip in mouth. Aim the tip toward teeth, and turn the unit ON (l).
For best results, start with the back teeth and work toward the front teeth. Glide tip along gumline and pause briey between teeth. Continue
until you have cleaned the inside and outside of both the upper and lower teeth.
Direct the jet stream at a 90-degree angle to your gumline. Slightly close lips to avoid splashing but allow water to ow freely from mouth
into the sink. Keep unit upright during use for best results.

When Finished
When nished with use, slide the power/water pressure adjustment switch to “0” to turn the power OFF.
In order to keep the main unit and reservoir clean, empty the remaining liquid in the reservoir aer each use. A small amount of water will remain inside the
reservoir but this does not represent a problem for health.
Finally wipe o any water droplets on the main unit and reservoir using a towel or other dry cloth.
To install the reservoir back onto the main unit, slide the reservoir toward the top of the main unit.
TIP USAGE
Pik Pocket™ tip
The Pik Pocket™ tip is specially designed to direct a jet of water or solution deep into the pocket around the tooth.
When using the Pik Pocket™ tip, set the main unit water pressure to the lowest setting and angle the tip at 45 degrees from the tooth. Slowly
insert the tip into the pocket around the tooth.
Tongue Cleaner tip
Set the water pressure to the lowest setting and place the tip near the center of your tongue. Gently press the tip against your tongue and pull it
toward you. Adjust the water pressure to suit your preferences.
Orthodontic tip
When using the orthodontic tip, move the tip slowly and smoothly along your gums, then stop it for a moment to gently clean the space between the
teeth and around the orthodontic bracket. Then move on to the next tooth.
