Use the specified types f wires f r electrical c nnecti ns between the ind r and utd r units.
Firmly clamp the interc nnecti ng wires s their terminals terminals receive n external stresses. Inc mplete c nnecti ns r clamping may cause terminal verheating r fire.
After c nnecti ng interc nnecting and supply wiring be sure t shape the cables s that they d n t put undue f rce n the electrical
c vers r panels.
Install c vers ver the wires. Inc mplete c ver installati n may cause terminal verheating, electrical sh ck, r fire.
If any refrigerant has leaked ut during the installati n w rk, ventilate the r m.
(The refrigerant pr duces a t xic gas if exp sed t flames.)
After all installati n is c mplete, check t make sure that n refrigerant is leaking ut.

When installing r rel cating the system, be sure t keep the refrigerant circuit free fr m substancs ther than the specified
refrigerant(R410A), such as air.
(Any presence f air r ther f reign substance in the refrigerant circuit causes an abn rmal pressure rise r rupture, resulting in injury.)
During pump-d wn, st p the c mpress r bef re rem ving the refrigerant piping.
If the c mpress r is still running and the st p valve is pen during pump-d wn, air will be sucked in when the rc mpress r is run, causing abn rmal pressure in the freezer
cycle which will lead t breakage and even injury.
Be sure t establish an earth. D n t earth the unit t a utility pipe, arrester, r teleph ne earth.
In c mplete earth may cause electrical sh ck, r fire. A high surge current fr m lightning r ther s urces may cause damage t the air c nditi ner.
Be sure t install an earth leakage breaker.
Failure t install an earth leakage breaker may result in electric sh cks, r fire.
D n t install the aire c nditi ner in a place where there is danger f exp sure t inflammable gas leakage.
If the gas leaks and builds up ar und the unit, it may catch fire.
Establish drain piping acc rding t the instructi ns f this manual.
Inadequate piping may cause fl ding.
Tighten the flare nut acc rding t the specified meth d such as with a t rque wrench.
If the flare nut is tightened t hard, the falre nut may crack after a l ng time and cause refrigerant leakage.
Make sure t pr vide f r adequate measures in rder t prevent that the utd r unit be used as a shelter by small animals.
Small animals making c ntact with electrical parts can cause malfuncti ns, sm ke r fire. Please instruct the cust mer t keep the area ar und the unit clean.

7) Install units, p wer c rds and inter-unit cables at least 3 meter away fr m televisi n and radi sets. This is t prevent interference t
images and s unds. (N ises may be heard even if they are m re than 3 meter away depending n radi wave c nditi ns.)
8) In c astal areas r ther places with salty atm sphere f sulfate gas, c rr si n may sh rten the life f the air c nditi ner.
9)Since drain fl ws ut f the utd r unit, d n t place under the unit anything which must be kept away fr m m isture.

When perati ng the air c nditi ner in a l w utd r ambient
temperature, be sure t f ll w the instructi ns described bel w.
1) T prevent exp sure t wind, install the utd r unit with its sucti n
side facing the wall.
2) Never install the utd r unit at a site where the sucti n side may be
exp sed directly t wind.
3)T prevent exp sure t wind, it is rec mmended t install a baffle plate
n the air discharge side f the utd r unit.
4) In heavy sn wfall areas, select an installati n site where the sn w
will n t affect the unit.

Precautions on Installation

f undati n b lts, nuts and washers each which are available n the market.)
It is best t screw in the f undati n b lts until their length are 20mm fr m the f undati n surface.
Outdoor Unit Installation Guideline
Where a wall r ther bstacle is in the path f utd r unit's intake r exhaust airfl w, f ll w the installati n guidelines bel w.
F r any f the bel w installati n pattems, the wall height n the exhaust side sh uld be 1200mm r less.

are listed bel w. (The sh rter the refrigerant piping, the better the perf rmance. C nnect s that the piping is as sh rt as p ssible. Sh rtest

Re rigerant piping work
1. Installing outdoor unit
1) When installing the utd r unit, refer t "Precauti ns f r Selecting the L cati n" and the "Ind r/Outd r Unit Installati n Drawings".
2)If drain w rk is necessary, f ll w the pr cedures bel w.

1) Use drain plug f r drainage.
2) If the drain p rt is c vered by a m unting base r fl r surface, place additi nal f t bases f at least 30mm in height under the
utd r unit's feet.
3) In c ld areas, d n t use a drain h se with the utd r unit.(Otherwise, drain water may freeze, impairing heating perf rmance.)

4. Purging air and checking gas leakage
WARNING
3. Re rigerant piping work
When piping w rk is c mpleted, it is necessary t purge the air and check f r gas leakage.
1) D n t mix any substance ther than the specified refrigerant (R410A) int the refrigerati n cycle.
2) When refrigerant gas leaks ccur, ventilate the r m as s n and as much as p ssible.
3) R410A, as well as ther refrigerants, sh uld always be rec vered and never be released directly int the envir nment.
4) Use a vacuum pump f r R410A exclusively. Using the same vacuum pump f r different refrigerents may damage the vacuun pump
r the unit.
If using additi nal refrigerant, perf rm air purging fr m the refrigerant pipes and ind r unit using a vacuum pump, then charge additi nal
refrigerant.
Use a hexag nal wrench (4mm) t perate the st p valve r d.
All refrigerant pipe j ints sh uld be tightened with a t rque wrench at the specified tightening t rque.
C nnect pr jecti n side f charging h se(Which c mes fr m gauge manif ld) t gas st p valve's service p rt.
Fully pen gauge manif ld's l w-pressure valve(L ) and c mpletely cl se its high-pressure valve(Hi).
(High-pressure valve subsequently requires n perati n.)
Apply vacuum pumping. Check that the c mp und pressure gauge reads-0.1MPa(-76cmHg).
Evacuati n f r at lease 1 h ur is rec mmended.
Cl se gauge manif ld's l w-pressure valve(L ) and st p vacuum pump.
(Leave as is f r 4-5 minutes and make sure the c upling meter needie d es n t g back.
If it d es g back, this may indicate the presence f m isture r leaking fr m c nnecting parts. After inspecting all the c nnecti n and
l sening then retightening thenuts, reqeat steps 2-4. )
Rem ve c vers fr m liquid st p valve and gas st p valve.
Turn the liquid st p valve's r d 90 degrees c untercl ckwise with a hexag nal wrench t pen valve.
Cl se it after 5 sec nds, and check f r gas leakage.
Using s apy water, check f r gas leakage fr m ind r unit's flare and utd r unit's flare and valve r ds.
After the check is c mplete, wipe all s apy water ff.
Disc nnect charging h se fr m gas st p valve's service p rt, then fully pen liquid and gas st p valves.
(D n t attempt t turn valve r dj bey nd its st p.)
Tighten valve caps and service p rt caps f r the liquid and gas st p valves with a t rque wrench at the specified t rques. See "3
Refrigerant piping " n page 6 f r details.

1). Align the centres f b th flares and tighten the flare nuts 3 r 4 turns by hand. Then tighten them fully with the t r wrenches.

7.Precautions or Laying Re rigerant Piping
Cautions on pipe handling
1) Pr tect the pen end f the pipe against dust and m isture.
2) All pipe bends sh uld be as gentle as p ssible. Use a pipe bender f r bending.(Bending radius sh uld be 30 t 40mm r larger.)
Selection o copper and heat insulation materials
When using c mmercial c pper pipes and fittings, bserve the f ll wing :
1) Insulati n material: P lyethylene f am
Heat transfer rate: 0.041 t 0.052W/mK(0.035t 0.045kcal/mh C)
Refrigerant gas pipe's surface temperature reaches 110 C max.
Ch se heat insulati n materials that will withstand this temperature.
2) Be sure t insulate b th the gas and liquid piping and t pr vide insulati n dimensi ns as bel w.
Check the type f refrigerant t be used n the machine namiplate.
Precautions when adding R410A
Fill rom the liquid pipe in liquid orm.
It is a mixed refrigerant, s adding it in gas f rm may cause the refrigerant c mp siti n t change, preventing n rmal perati n.
1) Bef re filling, check whether the cylinder has a siph n attached r n t.(It sh uld have s mething like "liquid filling siph n attached"
displayed n it.)
2) Be sure t use the R410A t ls t ensure pressure and t prevent f reign bjects entering.
1) This system must use refrigersant R410A.
2) Add refrigerant 20g per meter when the t tal piping length
exceeds the standard value, but make sure that the t tal liquid
piping length sh uld be less than the max. value.
1) When using this pr duct, y u need n t t set the address. But the L/N wires between ind r & utd r units must be c rresp nded,
r there will be c mmunicati n failure.
2) Quiet Operati n Setting. Set the DIP "8" t ON p siti n f SW5, the system will run with l wer n ise, but the max. capacity will als
reduce slightly.
3) D n t change the settings f ther switchs, wr ng settings can make the system damage r ther malfuncti ns.

1. Electric wiring
The air c nditi ner must use special circuit , and wiring by the qualified electrician acc rding t the wiring rules specified in nati nal
standard.
The gr unding wire and the neutral wire shall be strictly separated. C nnect the neutral wire with gr unding wire is inc rrect.
The electric leakage breaker must be installed.
All the electric wire must be c pper wire.P wer supply: 1PH, 220-230V~, 50/60Hz.
The wiring meth d f p wer line is Y c nnecti n. If the p wer line is damaged, in rder t av id risk f electric sh ck, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer r its repair center r ther similar qualified pers n.The c nnecting cable must be shielded.
Fuse: T3.15A 250VAC T16A 250VAC (Please check with the utd r unit wiring diagram.)
Please check the circuit diagram ab ut the fuse replaced.
Wiring meth d f rbicular terminals
F r the c nnecti n wire with rbicular terminals, its wiring meth d is as sh wn in
the right figure: rem ve the c nnecting screw, put the screw thr ugh the ring n
the end f the wire, then c nnect t the terminal bl ck and fasten screw.

Crimp c nnecti n meth d f r wires with ut terminals
F r the c nnecti n wire with ut rbicular terminals, its wiring meth d is: l sen
the c nnecti n screw, and insert the end f the c nnecti n wire c mpletely int
the Terminal bl ck, then fasten the screw.
Slightly pull the wire utwards t c nfirm it is firmly held.
Note: Power line and communication wire are provided by consumers themselves.

In order to protect the environment, be sure to pump down when relocating or disposing o the unit.
1) Rem ve the valve caps fr m liquid st p valve and gas st p valve.

Switch n all the 4 dip-switches n the utd r unit small service PC-b ard as sh wn n the right. Then p wer
ff the unit and p wer n again, the system will enter the perati n f "Wiring Err r Check". After 3 minutes
stand-by, the unit starts f r aut matic wiring checking.
Appr ximately 30 ~ 50minutes (depends n h w many units installed in the system) after the unit starts, the
Err rs f the wiring will be sh wn by the LEDs (1 t 5).
Bef re starting the test running, please c nfirm the f ll wing w rks have been d ne successfully.
1) C rrect piping w rk;
2) C rrect wiring w rk;
3) C rrect match f ind r and utd r unit;
4) Pr per recharge f refrigerant if needed.
Make sure that all the st p valves are fully pen.
Check the v ltage supplied t the utd r and ind r units, please cinfirm that is 230V.
Test running
Test running.
1) If the temperature is l wer than 16 OC, it is imp ssible t test c ling with rem te c ntr ller, and als when the temperature is higher than
30 OC, it is imp ssible t test heating.
2) T test c ling, set the l west temperature at 16OC. T test heating,set the highest temperature, at 30OC.
3) Please check b th c ling and heating perati n f each unit individually and then als check the simultane us perati n f all ind r
units.
4) After ruuning the unit f r ab ut 20 minutes, check the ind r unit utlet temperature.
5) After the unit is st pped, r w rking m de changed, the system will n t start again f r ab ut 3 minutes.
6) During c ling perati n, fr st may cur n the ind r unit r pipes, this is n rmal.
7) Operate the unit acc rding t the perati n manual. Please kindly explain t ur cust mers h w t perate thr ugh the instructi n manual.

5 green LED means 5 ind r units. If ne LED keep lighting that means the c rresp nding ind r unit has g d c mmunicati n with utd r
unit. If ne LED is n t lighting, that means there is n c mmunicati n between ind r and utd r.
