CHARGING THE BATTERY
It is necessary to charge your tablet before it can be powered on. The initial charge time is
approximately 5 hrs. It is normal for the body of the tablet to become warm during charging and
after extended periods of use.
Charge the Battery with the AC/DC Power Adapter:
»Connect the AC/DC power adapter to a standard power outlet, then connect the plug to
the DC IN port on the tablet.
Charge the Battery with the 12V DC Car Adapter:
»Connect the AC/DC power adapter to a standard 12V power socket in your vehicle, then
connect the plug to the DC IN port on the tablet.

POWER BUTTON
The Power Button will power the tablet on, off, or put the tablet into Sleep Mode. Sleep Mode
is a power saving mode that disables certain functions, namely, the screen. Your tablet will still do
things like play music, and remain ready to use at a moments’ notice.
Power Your Tablet ON
»Press and hold the power button and wait for the screen to activate.
Put Your Tablet in Sleep Mode
»Press the power button once to put the tablet to Sleep.
Power Your Tablet OFF
»Press and hold the power button to turn the tablet OFF completely.

GESTURES
The screen on your ZEKI tablet is capable of accepting up to ve points of contact at once, and
by using these simple hang gestures you can interact with the tablet and its various functions.
Briey tap the screen to select an icon,
item, or app. Press and hold to bring up
menus or other options.
Hold and turn two ngers to rotate things
like pictures and games.

Touch and hold any item on the screen,
such as an app, to move it.
Hold & Drag Zoom
Touch the screen with two ngers and
pinch in or out. In some cases, you can
also zoom in and out by quickly tapping
the screen twice.

AC/DC Power Adapter &
12V Car Charger
Use the Power Adapters to charge from
a standard power outlet or a 12V power
socket in a vehicle.
Micro-USB to USB Cable
Use the Micro-USB to USB cable to connect to a
computer to transfer les or charge the tablet.
Stereo Earbuds
To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume on
the tablet is turned down before connecting the earbuds.
After placing earbuds in your ears, gradually increase the
volume until a comfortable listening level is reached.

Using the Tablet
SCREEN ORIENTATION
Your tablet will automatically adjust from portrait to landscape mode as you rotate it.
You can disable this feature by dragging the Quick Settings tab down from the top right of the
screen and tapping Auto-Rotate.
LOCK SCREEN & SECURITY
Disable the Lock Screen by dragging upwards anywhere on the screen. If you want to make
your tablet more secure you can choose from several different options by going to
Settings > Security > Screen Security.

APPS
Adding Apps to Your Home Screen
»Tap the Apps Menu icon on the home screen and nd the app you want.
»Press and hold, then drag it to the screen.
Deleting Apps from Your Tablet
»Tap the Apps Menu icon.
»Find the app you wish to uninstall, press and hold, then drag it to “Uninstall” at the top of
the screen.
Removing an App or Widget from the Home Screen
»Press and hold the app or widget and drag it to the X at the top of the screen.
Installing the ZEKI Bonus Games App
»Tap the Apps Menu icon at the bottom of the screen and nd the ZEKI icon.
»Tap the icon, select Install the App and press OK when prompted.
»The message Apps are installing, please wait will appear. After the installer has
nished several new game apps will be available in the app menu. They are: Bubble Blast 2,
Burger, Pinball and Solitaire.

PLAYING DVDs
»Slide the Disc Open latch to the right and open the tablet by gently pulling upwards on the
screen. Take care not to pull too hard on the screen or damage may result.
»Insert a DVD and close the tablet.
»Open the DVD app and use the on-screen controls to begin playing the DVD, access menus,
change the volume, and other settings.
Using the Tablet
HEADREST STRAPS
Headrest straps are included to allow the tablet to conveniently attach to a headrest on the seat
of a car. Follow the diagram below to properly secure the tablet with the straps.

Wi-Fi & Internet
WIRELESS CONNECTIONS
To access the internet or use other online services you must have the tablet’s Wi-Fi enabled and
connected to a wireless network or “hotspot”. Your tablet will automatically guide you through
the process of setting up your Wi-Fi connection when you activate it for the rst time. Follow
the guide and enter the correct information when prompted. It will be useful to have your
router’s ID and password on hand if you don’t already know them.
Connect to a Wi-Fi Hotspot Manually
»Go to Settings > Wi-Fi .
»Slide the Wi-Fi switch to the ON position, select the desired network from the list, and tap
Connect. If the network is secured with a password you will be prompted to enter it using
the keyboard.
»Once completed, the display will show “Connected” under the name of the network, as well
as the Wi-Fi signal strength.
BROWSING THE INTERNET
»Tap the Browser app icon.
»Once the Browser is open, you can tap the Search Bar at the top of the screen.
»The keyboard will automatically appear, simply start typing and tap to begin your
search and using the internet.
BROWSER FUNCTIONS
»Back/Forward will cycle through web pages that you have visited during your browser session.
»Refresh will reload the current web page.
»Open a new tab in the browser by pressing the + button.
»To Bookmark a page tap .
»To access different browser windows tap .
»To see pages you’ve already bookmarked tap .

USB CONNECTIONS
Your Zeki tablet is able to connect to a variety of different devices that let you transfer les, link
to a television screen, and increase storage space on your device. This can be a useful feature for
making presentations from the tablet, viewing pictures, watching videos, or playing music.
Transferring les with a PC/Mac
»Using a Micro-USB to USB cable (included), connect to the Micro-USB port on the tablet
and a USB port on a computer.
»The USB Connected screen will appear on the tablet. Press Turn On USB Storage to connect
to the computer.
»When the tablet connects to the computer you will be asked to congure the connection
type, check the rst box to set the tablet up as a USB storage device for you computer.
»Using the computer’s le/folder browser, you can now access and transfer les, photos and
other media to or from the tablet.
Closing a connection to a PC/Mac
»Select the tablet in your computer’s le/folder browser and Eject it to safely sever the
connection. This will reduce the risk of losing any data on both the computer and the tablet.
»From the USB Storage screen on the tablet tap Turn Off USB Storage.
»Unplug the Micro-USB to USB cable from the PC/Mac and the tablet.

EXPANDING STORAGE
The tablet has the capacity for expanded memory storage through the use of an SD card. The
maximum size the tablet will accept is 64GB.
Connecting an SD card
»Insert the SD Card into the Card Slot, taking care not to push too hard. The card will stick
out of the tablet body when is it correctly installed.
»The SD card will be mounted automatically and a notication will appear indicating that it is
ready to use.
Accessing an SD card
»To access the content on the SD Card tap the Explorer icon on the Home screen and select
SD Card from the device list.
Removing an SD card
»To remove an SD Card, go to Settings > Storage > Unmount SD Card.
»When the card has been unmounted, remove the card from the tablet by gently pulling it
upwards until it has cleared the card slot.
