INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
This operating manual contains basic instructions which require compliance during the operation and
maintenance of your machine. All personnel must read this operating manual before commissioning
and use of the machine. The manual is to be held accessible to personnel.
Do not just comply with the general safety instructions listed under this main safety heading, but also
the special safety instructions inserted under the other main points.
2.1 Intended use
An ideal seedbed is the basis for optimal plant development. Well-levelled and loosened soil over the
entire working width/depth, a high area coverage and low wear: this is what the new SOIL STAR seed-
bed combination from ZIEGLER stands for. The suspension of the individual fields in parallelogram
arrangement ensures an exact and uniform working depth. The SOIL STAR produces an ideal seedbed:
a coarse crumble on the surface, finer soil in the lower layer and good reconsolidation. Coarse clods of
earth and furrow slices are crushed by the crumbling rollers.
This operating manual is applicable to a seedbed combination 4,5m –7,5m.
