Express purification technolog spend less time maintaining their pools.

Ever pool has its own characteristics of water t pe, amount of sunlight, etc. Discuss

with our dealer the right ‘recipe’ of water management to fit the particular

circumstances of the pool and our geographic climate.

Thank you for purchasing the Zodiac Nature2Express. Please take a moment to

read though the entire manual.

Zodiac Nature2Express can be used with ever t pe of chemical treatment available except

bromine and bromine based chemicals, biguanide products (Baquacil or Soft Swim) and

copper based algaecides.

Zodiac Nature2Express consists of 8 parts:

1. Hole Saw 2. Vessel 3. Top Clamp 4. Bottom Clamp 5. Gasket 6. Flow Director

7. Cartridge 8. Stainless Steel nuts and bolts.

INSTALLATION:

1. Before installing the Zodiac Nature2Express S stem onto the pipe, remove debris

and algae out of the pool and clean our pool filter.

2. All swimming pools, including Zodiac Nature2Express pools, require properl

balanced water. Do not install the Zodiac Nature2Express until our pool water is

chemicall balanced. Maintain the pH between 7.2 and 7.8, the calcium hardness

between 200PPM and 400PPM and the total alkalinit between 80PPM and 150PPM.

Consult our Zodiac dealer for specific water balance instructions.

INSTALLATION

3. The Zodiac Nature2Express S stem can be installed

verticall or horizontall , even upside down - whichever

is most convenient for our pool installation.

4. Make sure ou turn off the pump and filter s stem and

shut off valves to avoid empt ing pool.

5. To install and assemble the Zodiac Nature2Express

unit, choose a position after the filter but before an

chlorine injection s stem or salt water chlorination

s stem, that ma be fitted to our pool s stem.

6. Position the top shell and clamp on the place chosen,

with the gasket supplied, fitting between the top clamp

and the pipe to make a good seal. Place the bottom

clamp on the other side of the pipe and bolt the two

halves together, with the four stainless steel nuts and

bolts supplied. Make sure that the arrows on the top

clamp are facing in the direction of the water flow back

to our pool

7. Using the hole saw and with the use of a drill, drill a

hole in the pipe through the opening at the bottom of

the top shell, place the flow director into the hole, at

the bottom of the top shell making sure it fits into the

slot the right wa . The inside curve of the flow director

must face towards the water flow from the filter, then

screw cartridge into the unit and set date or installation

on dial.

8. Turn pump on and check for an leaks.

START UP

START UP:

1. Super oxidise or ‘shock’ the pool. On the first da , super-oxidise the water with 500

grams dr or 4 litres liquid chlorine per 40,000 litres of water, to burn off

contaminants and to activate the purifier cartridge.

Important: Initial super-oxidation with chlorine is required.

2. Activate the Zodiac Nature2Express - run the pump and filter s stem, with the

Zodiac Nature2Express installed for 24 hours per da for 4 da s or for 6 hours per

da for 14 da s.

3. Maintain a 1ppm to 2ppm residual chlorine level throughout the 4 da or 14 da

activation period. Test our chlorine level regularl .

4. Allow the free chlorine level to drop to 1 ppm after the activation period is complete.

NOTE: Higher free chlorine levels are required for indoor and stabilised pools.

Follow the chlorine manufacturers directions on the product label.

5. Follow the chlorine maintenance recipe listed on page 6.

NOTE: The Zodiac Nature2Express cartridge will need to be replaced ever six

months.

6.The Zodiac Nature2Express must be in operation in the pool, that is the filter/pump

s stem must operate for at least 6 hours ever da to be effective.

To find out if our pool water is balanced:

• take a water sample to our dealer to be tested regularl , or

• ask our Zodiac dealer to recommend a pool test kit for water balance.

LOW MAINTAINENCE SYSTEMS:

Apart from using manual applications of chlorine granules, liquid or tablets, Zodiac

Nature2Express used with automatic chlorine s stems can reduce pool maintenance

substantiall .

Automatic Liquid Chlorinators

During the Zodiac Nature2Express start up period, the chlorinator should be set to

keep the chlorine level up to 1-2ppm. When this period has been completed turn the

chlorinator down low so that it keeps the free chlorine level at 1 ppm.

NOTE: Higher free chlorine levels are required for indoor and stabilised pools.

Follow the chlorinator manufacturer’s directions.

Chlorine Recipe

Ingredients:

Once the 4-da or 14-da start-up period is done, allow

the free-chlorine residual to drop to 1 ppm (b reducing

the amount of chlorine ou add) then:

Salt Chlorinators.

During the Zodiac Nature2Express start up period, the chlorinator should be kept

at a high level to keep the chlorine in the pool up to 1-2ppm. When this period has

been completed, turn the salt chlorinator down so that the free chlorine in the pool

is 1 ppm. This will increase the life of the salt chlorinator cell.

Both of these methods will help to make the pool almost maintenance free and maintain

the water balance of our pool at the optimum. During hot and humid weather and when

the pool has heav bather loads, the chlorinators ma need to be temporaril adjusted

upwards, to maintain the water balance.

Use the month indicator ring (M) on the

top of the unit to identif the date on which

the cartridge should be replaced.

A cartridge lasts six months under normal

operating conditions, four months if

operated 24 hours a da .

To replace the cartridge:

1 Shut off our pool’s pump and filter.

2 Close an valves between the filter and

pool to prevent draining the pool.

3. Unscrew the cartridge

Housing Warranty

The Zodiac Nature2Express Purifier ou have purchased was manufactured with care

and is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship from the date it

was installed to the time limit as specified on the cover page. Your warrant

registration card must be completed and mailed to Zodiac Group Australia Pt Ltd to

establish our installation date. This warrant does not cover damage caused b abuse,

misuse, accidents or an alterations to the purifier. Report claims to our authorised

Zodiac dealer. Zodiac Group Australia Pt Ltd reserves the right to replace an

purifier instead of repairing it.

Six-Month Pro-Rated Cartridge Warranty

Zodiac Nature2Express Purifier cartridges are warranted to be free of defects in

materials and workmanship and to perform to our satisfaction for a period of up to

six months from the date of installation. This warrant does not cover damage caused

b accident, misuse or alterations or b the use of an biguanide products such as

Baquacil, copper-based algaecides or an products containing bromine or bromide-

based chemicals. If the cartridge is defective or does not perform to our complete

satisfaction for the entire six months, we will make a pro-rata rebate based on our

actual period of use. Please consult our Owners Manual for proper use.

Non-Staining Warranty

Your Zodiac Nature2Express Purifier cartridge is warranted not to cause copper

staining in our pool. This warrant requires onl that ou exercise reasonable care of

our pool and keep water in balance at all times, and not use copper-based algaecide.

Your Zodiac Nature2Express Owners Manual will guide ou as to how to maintain our

pool properl when using the Zodiac Nature2Express Purifier. This warrant does not

cover discoloration to chromium fittings which ma discolour slightl over time and are

easil cleaned with a mild detergent.

There are no other warranties, expressed or implied. All incidental and consequential

damages are excluded from the warrant except where state law is different. This

warrant gives ou specific legal rights. You ma have other rights which var from

state to state. Proof of purchase is required to make an claims on the above

warranties, so please keep our dated receipt.

This warrant card will remain the propert of Zodiac Group Australia Pt Ltd.
