1. Openthebackcoverusingthethumbcatchinthebottomrightcorner
2. InsertyourSIMcardfacedownintothecardholderwiththecutcornerfacingthetopleft.
3. InsertamicroSDmemorycardifrequired.ThephoneacceptsmicroSDcardsupto128GB.
4. Replacethebackcoverandpressdownintoplace.

ConnectthechargertothephoneusingaUSBcable,andplugthechargerintoastandardpower
socket.OnlyusetheapprovedchargerandUSBleadprovided.
Alwaysinsertthechargerleadcarefully.
Checktheplugandsocketarealignedcorrectly.
DoNOTuseexcessiveforcewhichmay
damagetheUSBport.

Screencontrol
Youcancontrolyourphonethroughaseriesofoperationsonthescreen.
‐Touch:Youcantouchtheitemsonthescreentoselect,toopentheapplicationsortousethe
keyboardtoinputcharacters.
‐Swipeorslide:Quicklymoveyourfingeracrossthesurfaceofthescreen,withoutpausingwhen
youfirsttouch(soyoudon'tdragsomethinginstead).
‐Touch&hold:Youcantouch&holdsomeitemstogettheitem’savailablemenu.
‐Drag:Youcandragsomeitemsonthescreentorealizesomeoperations.
‐Switchbetweenlandscapemodeandportraitmode:Youcanswitchtothelandscapemodeby
rotatingyourphone.Thelandscapemodeisonlyvalidundersomeinterfaces,suchasthetext
inputinterface,themessageviewinginterface,etc.
‐Pinch:Insomeapps(suchasMaps,Browser,andGallery),youcanzoominandoutbyplacing
twofingersonthescreenatonceandpinchingthemtogether(tozoomout)orspreadingthem
apart(tozoomin).
‐SuperKey–SetuptothreedifferentfunctionsforthiskeyfromaSinglepress,Doublepressor
Longpressaction.GotoSettings>SuperKeytosettheactionforeachpress.

VolumekeyscontroltheRingVolumeandthePriorityInteruptionspanel.
MovingthevolumeallthewaydownwillenableVibratemode.Moveonestepfurtherdownfor
Silentmode(withAlarmsstillactive)
DuringaCall
DuringacalltheVolumekeyswillcontroltheincall(headphones,earpieceorspeaker)volume.
MediaAppsandGames
IfyouareusingappssuchastheMusic,VideoPlayersorGamesthentheVolumeKeyswillcontrol
thecurrentmediavolumelevel
AlarmSettingApplication
IfyouaresettinganAlarm,pressingtheVolumekeyswillchangetheAlarmvolume,sobecareful
nottomuteyourAlarmsettingasthiswilloverridethesystemvolumeandtheAlarmwillnot
soundevenifyourSystemvolumeison100%.TheAlarmAppindependantlysetsitsownvolume.
YoucanalsoreviewthisunderClock>Alarm>threedotsforOptions>Settings.

LockScreen
TheLockscreenwillbethefirstscreenyouwillseeifyoupressthePowerkeytowakeyourdevice
up(unlessitisthefirsttimeyouareusingyourdeviceandyouarebeingleadthroughtheinitial
setupwizard).TheLockscreenwilldisplayforasetperiodoftime(typically30seconds)andyou
willneedtoswipeitasindicatedonthescreentoopentheHomescreen.
Homescreen
PresstheHomekeytoreturntotheHomeScreenwhichisyourmaindesktop.Youcanaddand
removeAppshortcuts,moveappsaroundandaccessthedefaultDialler,Messages,Chromeand
Camerabuttons.SlideupfromthebotttomtoviewAllApps.Pulldownfromthetopofthescreen
toreviewanynotifications,pulldownagaintogettotheQuickSettingsPanel(seelater)

‐Opennotificationspanel:Dragdownfromthetopofthescreentoopenthenotificationspanel.
‐Respondtoanotification:Touchit.

Youcancombineseveralappiconsinafolder.DroponeappiconoveranotheronaHomescreen,
andthetwoiconswillbecombinedintoafolder.

IfyouhavesetaFingerprint,youdon’tneedtopressthePowerkey,justtouchyourfingerthat
yousavedintothehandsetonthefingerprintreaderandthephonewillwakeupandunlockready
foruse.

Onthehomescreen,touchthebutton.ThefirstviewisFavoriteswhichwill
populateautomaticallyasyoumakecalls,orwillshowyourStarredcontactsfirst.You
canalsopressAddaFavouritetocreateaSpeedDialcontact.
Makeaninternationalcall
Onthehomescreen,touchthebuttonthenpresstheDialPadto
manuallyenternumbers.Touch&holdthe“0”keyuntil“+”appearsonthescreen,
thendialthecountrycodeorregioncode,citycodeandphonenumber.
