The ZTEMF636 USB HSUPA Modemisatype ofmulti-mode,
3Gmodem,suitablefor
GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPAnetwork.Itadopts
USB interfacewhichprovidesan easyinterfacetolaptop and
desktop PC.Withthe GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/
HSDPA/HSUPA mobilenetwork,itcan helpyou carryoutSMS,
dataserviceand willhelpyou breakawayfromthe limitoftime
and zone,and realizewireless communication atanymoment
everywhere.

2Installation
2.1SoftwareInstallation
The systemwill automaticallydetectandrecognizethe
newhardwareand displaythenewiconinthe desktop
statusbar,indicatingthatthecomputerand the USB
Modemhavebeen connectedproperly.Afterafew
seconds, therewill showthefollowinginstallationinterface
ifthe laptop anddesktop PCsupportsautomatic
installation.
Ifthe laptop and desktop PCdoesn tsupportautomatic
installation,starttheinstallationprogrambyrun the
AutoRun.exe fromtheCD-ROMdrive.The
followinginstallationinterfacewill showhowtostart
installation.

Note: If youhaveinstalledthepreviousversionoftheZTE
USB modemsoftware,awindowbelowwill pop uptoask
you howdealwiththepreviousversion.Pleaseselect
Remove tounstill all the previousversion,andthenrun
the AutoRun.exe tostart theinstallation.

Stronglyrecommend you toexitotherprograms,and click
“Next”.

Read the agreementcarefully.Ifyou agree,choose “Iacceptthe
termsofthe licenseagreement”, and then click “Next”.

Selectthe folderthatyou wanttoinstallthe software,and you
can selectadifferentlocation bypressing “Change”,then click
“Next”.
The modemsoftware “ZTEMobileConnection”beginstoinstall.

The systemshowthe installation progress,waitaminuteand
the following screen willshowup:

Click “Finish”tocompletethe installation.
Note Ifyou haveproblemswithinstallation afterthe upper
operation, pleasecontact the shop orZTE.
Aftertheinstallation,selectthe “Start Programs”and there
willbe a “ZTEMobileConnection”programgroup,which
includes “ZTEMobileConnection”and “ZTEUninstall”. There
willbe aShortcuticon likebelowon the desktop.

2.2HardwareInstallation
1. InserttheSIM/USIMcardintotheUSBModem:
First, you shouldinsertyourUSIM/SIMcardintothe USB
Modem,and confirmthatyourSIM/USIMcardsupportdata
service,GPRS,EDGE,UMTS,HSDPA orHSUPAetc.Ifyou
havequestionson this, pleaseconsult yourservicesupplier.
ToinstallSIM/USIMcard,
lFirst takedownthe modemcap,then the USBconnectoris
visible.
lPullthe plasticsocket abovethe USBconnectorout.
Note: Do notpullthe socketrudelyforthe socketisfixed with
the modem.Otherwisethe socket willget damaged.
lThen insert theSIM/USIMcardintothe socket,heremake
surethatmetalcontact area facing tothe modem.
