UsingyourUSBModem
•Press Connect tostartadataconnectionusingyourUSB
modem
•Launchyourintendedapplication,egwebbrowser,email etc.
•Whenyou havefinishedyourinternetoremailconnection
remembertoreturn tothesoftwareinterfaceandpress
Disconnect to endyoursession
•Whenthesoftwareisminimiseddouble clicktheicononthe
task bar to re-openthe ConnectionManager.
•Note thatyourUSBmodemislockedtotheSkinnynetwork.
Contactyourcarrierto unlockyourdevice.Chargesmay apply.
TIP
Afterthe computerwakesfromhibernationorstandbymode you
may needto remove andre-insertthe modem.

Whenyou minimisethesoftwarethewindowwill minimisetoan
icononthesystemtray.Theprogramisstill activeinthe
backgroundbutdisappearstofree yournormalWindowsspace.
Double clickthe task bar iconto restore the ConnectionManager.

Phonebookrecordsmay become corrupted.
Safelyremovethemodem, eg.Windows Systems:

detailsandselect OK to finish.
You can choosethe Savelocation as thePC ortheUSIMcard.The
defaultlocationisonthe PC.

computersystem
•Always handle memory cardswithcare andavoidstaticdischarge
microSD™cardssupportedto2GBare FAT16 format.

PleaseusetheSafeRemovalofHardwaretostoptheremovable
disk before removingthe modemfromyourcomputer.

Installation Guide
Theinstallationandmanagementsoftwareispre-loadedontoyour
USB modem. Wait foryoursystemtobefullyloadedtheninsertthe
modemintoyourcomputerandfollowtheinstructions on-screen.
You’ll be upandconnectedinabout5 minutes.
There are three mainstepstothe installationprocess:
1. Device insertion;USB drivers are installedbyyoursystem
2. Install shieldlaunchesandinstallsthe ConnectionManager
3. ConnectionManagerlaunchesandcontinuestoinstall the
modemdrivers andtheninitialisesthe modem
Ifnothinghappens yoursystemconfigurationmaybepreventing
Autorun.
Manual installation process
•Browse to the device andselectAutoRunto startthe installation.
(Start>MyComputer>ZTEMODEM >AutoRun.exe)
