Long Term Shutdown Procedure

If you will be shutting down your ProJet 6000/7000 system for an extended period, we recommend to do the following:
HOME THE ELEVATOR
1. At the bottom of the touch screen, tap the Advanced button.
2. Tap the Elevator/Leveler button to open the Elevator/Leveler screen
3. Tap the Home button to home the elevator.
4. Wait for the elevator to complete the homing process.
DISCONNECT THE MATERIAL LINE TO THE PRINT TRAY
We recommend that you disconnect the material line from the print tray to prevent back ow of material into the cart. This
could lead to the reservoir of the cart becoming over lled and causing a material leak from the top of the reservoir lid.
1. Open the Build Chamber and Cart doors.
2. While wearing Nitrile gloves, remove the cart hose from the print tray by depressing the quick-release button and
disengaging the connector from the print tray. Resin may drip out of this connector, be sure to have a towel handy.
3. Connect the hose to the free connector on the material cart. Eliminate slack by wrapping it around the grooved
component on the umbilical connector.
BACKUP CRITICAL FILES
Log Into Windows
1. Please connect a keyboard and mouse to the USB ports on the machine.
2. Press Ctrl + Alt+ Del on the keyboard and tap on Log O on the touchscreen.
3. Conrm that you wish to Log O. Log into Widows Desktop with the follow credentials:
a. User Name: administrator
b. Password: 3dsys
Backing Up Files
1. Create a new folder on the ProJet 6000 Desktop named PJ6KBackup.
2. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to 
a. Copy the le  and paste it into the PJ6KBackup folder.
3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:/Program Files/3D Systems/ProJet 6000/current_version/
a. Copy the le  and paste it into the PJ6KBackup folder.
b. Copy the le  and paste it into the PJ6KBackup folder.

4. Navigate to C:/Program Files/3D Systems/ProJet 6000/current_version/Data/
a. Copy the  le and paste it into the PJ6KBackup folder.
b. Copy the  le and paste it into the PJ6KBackup folder
c. Copy the PowerCal folder and paste it into the PJ6KBackup folder.
5. Navigate to C:/Program Files/3D Systems/ProJet 6000/license/
a. If there is no le present, disregard this step.
b. If there is a  le present, copy and paste it into the PJ6KBackup folder.
6. Copy and paste the entire PJ6KBackup folder onto a ash drive or alternate storage device. Keep this folder in a secure
location in the event the les inside are needed.
POWERING OFF THE SYSTEM
Below are two options for powering o the system. Choose an option that best suits your situation.
1. While still in Windows
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Click on  and wait for Windows to complete the shutdown process.
3. Go to the rear of the machine and toggle the power switch to the right to turn o the power to the system.
4. If you wish you can disconnect the electrical power cable from the machine or the wall.
2. While In The User Interface
1. At the bottom of the touch screen, tap the button.
2. Tap on the Printer button
3. Tap on the button.
4. Conrm that you want to Shutdown the Printer.
5. Wait for the system to complete shutdown.
6. Go to the rear of the machine and toggle the power switch to the right to turn o the power to the system.
7. If you wish you can disconnect the electrical power cable from the machine or the wall.


