【Product Overview】
The product is a 2-in-1 device with the model of SW 485GI. As
a RS-232/485/422 converter, it uses 1 RS-232 serial port + 1
RS-485/422 serial port. As a RS-485/422 relay, it uses 2
RS-485/422 serial ports.

Notice before mounting:
Don't place or install the device in area near water or
moist, keep the relative humidity of the device
surrounding between 5%~95% without condensation.
Before power on, first confirm the supported power
supply specification to avoid over-voltage damaging the
device.
The device surface temperature is high after running;
please don't directly contact to avoid scalding.
【
Wall-mounted Device Mounting
】
Step 1 On the wall of device mounting, place the device on
the wall for reference or refer to the mounting
dimension to mark two screw positions.
Step 2 Nail M4 screws on the wall and keep 2mm
interspace reserved.
Step 3 Hang the device on two screws and slide
downward, then tighten the screw to enhance
stability, mounting ends.
【Wall-mounted Device Disassembling】
Step 1 Device power off.
Step 2 Unscrew the screw on the wall about 2mm.
Step 3 Lift the device upward slightly; take out the device,
disassembling ends.
Notice before powering on:
Power ON operation: First insert the power supply
adapter into the device power supply interface, and then
plug the power supply plug and power on.
Power OFF operation: first, remove the power plug, and
then remove the wiring section of the adapter. Please
pay attention to the above operation sequence.
【Power Supply Connection】
DC power supply
Power interface adopts 3-pin 5.08mm pitch
terminal block. Input voltage: 12~36VDC.
【Serial Port Connection】
RS-232 DB9 interface
This product provides an RS232 DB9 interface,
interface type is RS232 DB9. The pin
definitions as shown in the following table:

RS-485/422 5-pin terminal block
The product provides 2 RS-485/422 interfaces with 5-pin
5.08mm pitch terminal block. When the device is used as the
RS-485/422 relay, one interface is the proximal interface and
the other is the remote interface.
The pin definitions as shown in the following table:
T+/485+ RS-422 sends positive, or RS-485 sends
positive
T-/485- Rs-422 sends negative, or RS-485 sends
negative
GND1 Signal ground 1 (proximal end )
GND2 Signal ground 2 (remote end)
R+ RS-422 receive positive
R- RS-422 receive negative
Note:
The device cannot be used as a signal converter and relay at the
same time, users have to choose between the two.
When used as a RS-485/422 relay, the local device is
connected to RS-485/422 terminal 1 (corresponding to
GND1), and the remote device is connected to
RS-485/422 terminal 2 (corresponding to GND2).
When used as an RS-232/485/422 interface converter,
use the RS-485/422 terminal 2 (the corresponding
ground is GND2).
【Checking LED Indicator】
The device provides LED indicators to monitor the device
working status with a comprehensive simplified
troubleshooting; the function of each LED is described in the
table as below:
