MaximumambienttemperatureTA:40℃.DONOToperateitwhenthetemperatureishigher.
DONOTconnectthedevicetoanydimmerpack.
Duringinitialstart‐upsomesmokeorsmellmayarise.Thisisanormalprocessanddoesnot
necessarilymeanthatthedeviceisdefective,anditwilldecreasegraduallywithin15minutes.
Makesuretherearenoflammablematerialsclosetotheunitwhileoperatingtoavoidfirehazard.
Examinethepowerwirescarefully;replacethemimmediatelyifthereisanydamage.
Unit’ssurfacetemperaturemayreachupto85℃.DONOTtouchthehousingbare‐handedduring
itsoperation,andallowabout15minutesforcoolingtheunitdownbeforereplacingbulbor
maintenanceasitcouldbeveryhot.

2. IftheDMXLEDisonandnoresponsetothechannel,checktheaddresssettingsandDMX

Becauseofitshighinternalpressure,theremightbeariskthattheDischargelampwould
explodeduringoperation.ThelampemitsintenseUVradiationwhichisharmfultothe
eyesandskin.Thehighluminanceofthearccancauseseveredamagetotheretinaifyou
takeacloselookatthelamp.
Toprotectthelamp,alwaysturnoffthelampfirst(viacontrolpanelorDMXcontroller)
andlettheunitrunatleastfiveminutestocooldownbeforeswitchingoffthemains
supply.Neverhandlethelamporluminarywhenitishot.
Donottouchthebulbwithbarehands.Ifthishappens,cleanthelampwithdenatured
alcoholandwipeitwithalintfreeclothbeforeinstallation.
ThelampgeneratesUVradiation.Neveroperatethelampwithoutappropriateshielding.
Whenlightingup,thelampoperatesathighpressureandthereisaslightriskofarctube
rupture.Theriskincreaseswithage,temperatureandimproperhandlingofthelamp.Donot
usethelamplongerthanitslifespan.
Makesurethelampislocatedinthecenterofthereflectorforthebestprojection.
4.3ChangingtheLamp
Donotusethislampmorethan1500hours,Usingthelampanylongerthanitssetlifecouldseriously
damageyourunit.Periodicallycheckingthelamprunningtime,whenthelampreachesthe1500hour
mark,orclosetoit,westronglysuggestyouswitchthelampout.CleartheRESETTIMEafteryouhave
replacedthelamp.
Toreplacethelamp:
1. Ensurethatthefixtureisdetachedfrompowerandhascooleddowncompletely.Itisagoodidea
toallowthefixturetorunfor10minutesafterthelamphasbeenturnedoff,sothatthecooling
fanshavetimetoworks.
2. Loosenthetwoscrewsandopenthefixtureheadcovers.

3. Liftthelampoutofitsrecess,disconnectthelampandconnectanewlampthatmustbethesame
typewiththeoldone.Andthenplacethenewlampintothelamprecess.
Finallyreinstalltheheadcover,fasteningitsecurelybeforereapplyingpower.

confirm,usetheUP/DOWNbuttontoselectDMXAddress,presstheENTERbuttontoconfirm,the
presentaddresswillblinkingthedisplay,usetheUP/DOWNbuttontoadjusttheaddressfrom001to
512,presstheENTERbuttontostore.PresstheMENUbuttonbacktothelastmenuoridlingletthe
unitidleoneminutetoexitmenumode.

Turnontheunit,presstheMENUbuttonintomenumode,andpresstheUP/DOWNbuttonuntilthe
requiredfunctionisshownonthemonitor.SelectthefunctionbytheENTERbutton.Usethe
UP/DOWNbuttontochoosethesubmenu,presstheENTERbuttontostoreandautomaticallyreturn
tothelastmenu.PresstheMENUbuttonorlettheunitidleoneminutetoexitmenumode.
Intheeventofdisconnectingwithmainspower,presstheUPbuttonforoneminutetoenterinto
menumode.PressMENUbuttonorlettheunitidleoneminutetoexit.

6.ControlByUniversalDMXController
6.1Connection
1. Atlastunit,theDMXcablehastobeterminatedwithaterminator.Soldera120‐ohm1/4 W resistor
betweenpin2(DMX‐)andpin3(DMX+)intoa3‐pinXLR‐plugandplugitintheDMX‐outputofthe
lastunit.
2. Connecttheunittogetherina“daisychain”byXLRplugcablefromtheoutputoftheunittothe
inputofthenextunit.Thecablecannotbebranchedorsplittoa“Y”cable.DMX512isavery
high‐speedsignal.Inadequateordamagedcables,solderedjointsorcorrodedconnectorscaneasily
distortthesignalandshutdownthesystem.
3. TheDMXoutputandinputconnectorsarepass‐throughtomaintaintheDMXcircuit,whenoneof
ATTENTION
Terminationreducessignalerrorsandtoavoidsignaltransmissionproblemsand
interference.ItisalwaysadvisabletoconnectaDMXterminal(Resistance120ohm1/4W
betweenpin2(DMX‐)andpin3(DMX+)ofthelastfixture).
