Follow these simple steps to begin enjoying your ACN Digital Phone Service
right away:
1. REVIEW the contents of the box which will match those listed on page 4.
2. FOLLOW the Installaon Guide on pages 5 and 6 to set up your Videophone.
3. READ the Quick Reference Guide on page 7 to help you operate your phone.

Quick Installaon Guide
All of the following items should be included with your Videophone.
What’s inside the box?
You should already have these components:
Router or Cable/DSL Modem
Broadband Internet access 256 Kbps or higher

1. Installaon with Router (requires Router with free port)

Follow these instrucons if you have a router connected between your
modem and your computer.
1. Connect the handset to the connecon point located on the side of
your Videophone.
2. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN port of your Videophone.
Connect the other end to an open Ethernet port on your router.
3. Ensure that your computer is connected to another port on your router or via
an exisng Wireless (WIFI) connecon.
4. Connect the Power Adapter to the Power port and then plug it into an electrical
outlet. Note: Do not use power adapters from other devices.
5. Turn the Power Switch on your Videophone to ON. You will see a status line
on your screen as your phone goes through setup. Once this is complete, the
register light on the front of your phone will turn green, and your Videophone
is ready for use.
Note: Simultaneous use of the computer and the Videophone will aect the quality of
the connecon.

2. Installaon without Router

Follow these instrucons if your computer is connected directly to your
broadband connecon via a modem.
1. Connect the handset to the connecon point located on the side of
your Videophone.
2. Unplug the exisng Ethernet cable from your computer that connects your
Cable/DSL modem to your computer. The other end of this cable should stay
aached to your modem. Connect the Ethernet cable that you unplugged from
your computer to the WAN port of your Videophone.
3. Connect one end of the new Ethernet cable that came with your Videophone,
to the LAN port of the phone. Connect the other end to the Ethernet port of
your computer.
4. Connect the Power Adapter to the power port and then plug it into an electrical
outlet. Note: Do not use power adapters from other devices.
5. Turn the Power Switch on your Videophone to ON. You will see a status line
on your screen as your phone goes through setup. Once this is complete, the
register light on the front of your phone will turn green, and your Videophone
is ready for use.
Note: Simultaneous use of the computer and the Videophone will aect the quality of
the connecon.

1 How can I place a call with my Videophone?
To place a call simply:
• Pick up the handset or press the buon. You will see an empty input
eld on the screen of the Videophone
• Enter the phone number. You will see the dialled digits on the screen
• Press the call buon
2 How can I answer a call with my Videophone?
To answer a call simply:
• Pick up the handset or press the buon
3 How can I acvate my Voicemail?
To acvate your Voicemail you must:
• Pick up the handset or press the buon
• Enter *0
• Press the call buon
• Enter the default password which is the 4 digit pin nominated at sign up
followed by #. The voicemail system will provide you with further instrucons
4 How can I access my Voicemail messages?
When somebody leaves a message a small envelope will appear on your
Videophone screen, you can then either:
• Pick up the handset, dial *0 and press the call buon , or
• Simply press the buon without liing the handset. The voicemail
system will provide you with further instrucons
5 How can I access the advanced funcons on my Videophone?
In order to access the advanced Videophone funcons you can:
• Press the MENU buon to display the Main Menu
• Navigate with the navigaon keys (the four circled keys to the right side
of the keypad). You will see the dierent icons being highlighted and
the name of the submenu will show on the le boom corner of your
Videophone screen

• Press the OK buon to access a submenu
• You can navigate further by selecng submenus and pressing the OK
buon again
• If you want to go back to a previous menu press the buon
• Be aware that the display is not a touch screen so you always have to use
the navigaon and OK buons to select funcons
6 How can I enter a contact in my phonebook?
• Press the MENU buon
• Select Phonebook
• Select All Contacts (aer 2 seconds the screen will show your current
address list)
• Select the icon Add New Entry at the boom right corner of your display
and press OK
• You can now enter the name of the person. You can use the (Caps)
buon to switch between upper and lower case characters and numbers
• With the navigaon buons you can then select the dierent phone
number entries and enter the corresponding phone numbers which you
have available
• You can also select a special ringtone for each contact that will sound when
the Videophone recognises the phone number of an incoming call
• When nished, select Save and press the OK buon
• You can repeat this sequence for addional contacts you would
like to add
7 How can I call someone in my phonebook?
• Pick up the handset or press the speaker phone buon
• Press the MENU buon
• Select Phonebook
• Select All Contacts (aer 2 seconds the system will show your current
address list)
• Select the name of the person you would like to call and press
the call buon
• You can now select which number you would like to dial and press
the OK buon
• Select Make a Call and press the OK buon

8 How do I use the Digital Photo Frame?
In order to use the Digital Photo Frame you need an USB sck or SD memory
card with pictures stored on it (preferably in 640*480 or 800*480 size). You can
insert the sck or card with the photos in the back (USB) or side (SD card) of
your Videophone. Then:
• Select Sengs
• Select System Sengs
• Select Display and scroll down to Digital Photo Frame and select On
• Press the MENU buon again and conrm your seng by selecng Yes
• Press the MENU buon
• Select Digital Photo Frame
• Select view another picture (Icon with “+” on it)
• Select the storage device and folder and press OK
• With the navigaon buons you can select next and previous pictures
9 How can I use the privacy funcon?
The privacy funcon allows you to disable your Videophone’s camera so the
other person cannot see you. You can acvate the privacy funcon by pressing
the buon aer you have pressed the call buon when making a call or
when answering an incoming call. You can deacvate the privacy funcon by
pressing the buon again.
10 How can I change the volume or display brightness?
You can change these seng while in conversaon by:
• Pressing the MENU buon
• Use the navigaon buons to either select Volume Control
or Brightness Control
• Press the OK buon
• Use the le and right navigaon buons to change the current seng

Limited Warranty
Subject to the condions of this limited warranty (the “Warranty”), ACN warrants your IRIS 3000 Videophone
(the “Product”) to be free from defects in design, materials and workmanship at the me of its original purchase
by you. The Warranty is valid for a period of 12 months (“Warranty Period”) as from the original date of purchase
of the Product.
What we will do
If during the Warranty Period, this Product fails to operate under normal use and service, due to defects in design,
materials or workmanship, ACN will either repair or replace, at our opon, the Product in accordance with the
condions spulated herein.
ACN reserves the right to charge a handling fee if a returned Product is found to not to be under Warranty according
to the condions below.
Condions
This Warranty does not cover mechanical damage caused by misuse, abuse, impact or accident or damage caused
to the Product or damage caused by liquids, lightening, power surges (ACN recommends you obtain surge protecon
for your electricity supply), the, or heat damage sustained from the stacking of electrical equipment on or in close
proximity to the Product. This Warranty does not cover you changing your mind about purchasing the Product.
The Warranty is not transferable and does not cover the ACN Videophone service nor does the Warranty period
recommence upon receipt of any replacement unit sent to you by ACN. If you hack the rmware or soware installed
with the Product or if you tamper with security seals or remove any service covers on the equipment ACN will consider
this Limited Warranty voided. The Warranty does not cover any damage or loss associated with or caused by computer
viruses obtained from your use of the Product or the ACN Videophone service.
This Warranty does not cover Product failures which have been caused by use of accessories or other peripheral
devices which are not ACN branded original accessories intended for use with this Product.
Equipment models may change over the course of this Warranty. It may be necessary for the replacement unit to be a
refurbished unit, a dierent model, and/or from a dierent manufacturer. ACN conrms that any replacement Product
sent to you will be of merchantable quality and funconally similar to the original Product supplied.
Warranty claims
Should your Product fail within the Warranty Period you will need to contact ACN’s Customer Service Team on 0508
226 007 to describe the Defect and, if necessary, to obtain a returns merchandise authorisaon number (RMA).
Please note that some of your personal sengs, content and other informaon may be lost when your ACN Product
is repaired or replaced. Due to applicable law, other regulaon or technical restricons, ACN will not make a back up
copy of your informaon.
ACN does not take responsibility for any lost informaon of any kind and will not reimburse you for such loss. You should
always make back-up copies of all the informaon stored on your ACN Product (e.g. contacts personal sengs, images
stored via the Videophone picture frame funcon) before handing in your ACN Product for repair or replacement.

The Product will need to be returned to ACN as soon as possible following you nofying ACN of the defect and will
need to be sent to the address provided by ACN. You will need to comply with any other return procedures spulated
by ACN as published or explained at the me of the claim. If a defect exists and a valid claim under the Warranty is
received by ACN aer the rst 15 days following the expiry of the Warranty Period, ACN is entled to charge for any
reasonable shipping and handling costs made in connecon with the repair or replacement of the ACN Videophone.
ACN respects your rights as a consumer. Nothing contained in this Warranty shall be read or applied so as to exclude,
restrict or modify the applicaon of applicable provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 which by law cannot
excluded, restricted or modied. Where you are acquiring, or holding yourself out as acquiring, the goods or services
for the purposes of a business, in terms of secon 43(2) of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, you will not assert or
aempt to assert any right or claims against ACN under the provisions of that Act. To the extent that any such statute
permits ACN to limit our liabilies to compensate or indemnify you or any other person for breach of an implied
condion or warranty, our respecve liabilies for such breach shall be limited to, at our opon: (a) the replacement
of the Goods or the supply of equivalent Goods or payment of the cost of replacing the Goods or acquiring equivalent
Goods; or (b) the repair of the Goods or payment of the cost of having the Goods repaired.
