Read this manual in its entirety before using your ActivePure®Guardian Air & Surface Pro.
Keep out of the reach of children.
• Use only as described in this manual
• This unit contains a UVC bulb
• Unintended use of the unit or damage to the housing may result in the escape of dangerous UVC radiation. UVC
radiation may cause eye and skin irritation. Avoid exposing eyes and skin to ultraviolet radiation.
• DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any of the electrical or mechanical functions of the ActivePure Guardian Air &
Surface Pro. Contact ActivePure Customer Service for service information
• Unit will automatically turn off when the front door is open for cleaning and filter replacement; Read the maintenance
instructions before opening the front door
• DO NOT use filters other than authorized Guardian Air filters
• DO NOT use outdoors or on wet surfaces
• DO NOT look directly at the UV light inside unit when operating. Eye damage may occur
• DO NOT allow to be used as a toy; Keep out of reach from children; close attention is necessary if operated near
children
• DO NOT use with damaged cord or plug. If unit is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors,
or dropped into water, DO NOT use, and return it to a service center
• DO NOT pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.

• DO NOT unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord
• DO NOT handle plug or unit with wet hands
• DO NOT allow foreign objects to enter the ventilation or exhaust openings
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts
• Turn off all controls before unplugging
• To avoid electric shock and fire hazards, plug directly into an appropriate electrical outlet (see voltage on unit) using
cable provided (beneath unit)
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this unit has a grounded plug (with a third prong); This plug will fit in a grounded
outlet only one way. If it does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. DO NOT change the
plug in any way. DO NOT use adapters
• The unit should not be used near the presence of oxygen tanks or other flammable gasses
• Place the unit in a location away from the wall that allows air to move freely into, around and out of the unit
• When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be taken

PRODUCT FEATURES

SETTINGS
1. Take your ActivePure®Guardian Air & Surface Pro unit out of the shipping carton and remove all protective materials.
2. Place the unit in a location away from the wall that allows air to move freely into, around and out of the unit.
The rear of the unit requires 6 inches or more of open area to allow unrestricted airflow.
3. Aach cord to unit, if required. Plug the cord into a working electrical outlet.
4. When turning the unit on, turn the speed control to MAX airflow for a few minutes of fast initial purification.
5. Aer a few minutes, adjust the control to the desired speed.
NOTE: Safety switch automatically turns power o when door is opened.
When turning the ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro on, turn the speed control to
maximum airflow for a few minutes of fast initial cleaning. Then adjust the control to the
desired speed.
There are four seings on the ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro:
1. HEPASilent™
2. Moderate fan speed (for normal use)
3. High fan speed (for a large room)
4. Maximum operation (for fast initial cleaning)
For best results, run your ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week, giving you the benefits of ActivePureday and night.

DO NOT place the unit:
• Directly on or near so furnishing, such as bedding or curtains
• Near electronically sensitive devices, such as a computer (within 6"–10")
• Near sources of heat, such as radiators, fireplaces, or ovens

• Near water, outdoors, or in a damp or wet area(s), such as bathrooms

The ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro features award-winning design, materials and workmanship.
Keep your unit in top condition with these cleaning tips:
• Always unplug unit before cleaning
• Wipe the exterior with a soft, clean, damp cloth
• Vacuum the small inlets on each end panel with a soft brush attachment
• Clean inside the filter chamber by opening the front door of the unit and opening the door
of the filter chamber (right-hand side)
• Never clean with gasoline, chemical solvents or corrosive materials — they may damage
the surface
ACTIVEPURE®CELL
To maintain optimal performance, the ActivePure Cell should be replaced annually.

FILTERS
ActivePure HEPA technology makes the ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro incredibly quiet. Units come with one
HEPASilent™particle filter (installed).
The ActivePure HEPA particle filter is made of polypropylene, which mechanically filters out airborne particles (dust, pollen,
pet dander, mold spores and other airborne particles). To maximize filter eectiveness, particles are negatively charged
before reaching the filter.
For optimal performance ActivePure recommends that you replace filter at least every 6–12 months, depending on
usage.
NOTE: Use only ActivePure HEPA particle filters to ensure proper functioning and to qualify your unit for full
warranty coverage.
MAINTENANCE
Our air purifiers are designed to help improve indoor air with minimum impact on the environment.
The ActivePure® HEPA particle filter is made of polypropylene, an eco-friendly plastic. Our filter contains no aluminum,
triclosan or other chemical additives.
All major parts are made from high-quality galvanized steel, not plastic. The steel housing is noise-muling, providing quiet
operation. The external parts have been powder coated for endurance and environmental protection.
The ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro is energy eicient. From lowest to highest speed, it uses from 23 to 80 was —
no more than a lightbulb.
ActivePure air purification systems are built for years of use.

ACTIVEPURE®CELL REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Always disconnect (unplug) device from electrical power source before replacing the
ActivePure Cell.
Step 2: Remove the 4 screws securing the old cell mounting plate on the device.
Step 3: Slide the old cell out of the device and disconnect the bulb socket.
Step 4: Open the replacement cell carton and remove the new cell.
Step 5: Place old cell inside the empty new cell carton and dispose of properly.
NOTE: No special handling for contaminants is necessary as the cell is on the exhaust side
of the device and does not trap or contain contaminants.
Step 6: Reaach the bulb connection to the new cell.
Step 7: Slide the new cell back inside the device and secure with the 4 screws removed
in Step 2.
Step 8: The device is now ready.

1. Sorter l’appareil ActivePure®Guardian Air & Surface Pro de son emballage de transport et retirer toutes les protections.
2. L’endroit choisi pour l’installation doit être loin d’un mur et permere une circulation d’air libre dans, autour et hors de
l’appareil. L’arrière de l’appareil doit avoir un espace dégagé d’au moins 6 po (15,24 cm) pour permere une circulation
d’air libre.
3. Brancher le cordon à l’appareil, si besoin. Brancher le cordon dans une prise électrique fonctionnelle.
4. Une fois l’appareil allumé, tourner le bouton de contrôle des vitesses sur débit MAX pour quelques minutes de
purification rapide initiale.
5. Après quelques minutes, ajuster le réglage à la vitesse souhaitée.
REMARQUE: Un interrupteur de sécurité coupe automatiquement le courant électrique lorsque la porte est ouverte.
RÉGLAGES
Une fois l’ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro allumé, tourner le bouton de contrôle
des vitesses sur débit maximum pour quelques minutes de purification rapide initiale.
Ajuster ensuite le réglage à la vitesse souhaitée .
L’ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro possède quatre réglages:
1. HEPASilent™
2. Vitesse de ventilation moyenne (pour utilisation courante)
3. Vitesse de ventilation élevée (pour une grande pièce)
4. Fonctionnement maximal (pour neoyage initial rapide)

AIDEZ VOTRE ACTIVEPURE GUARDIAN AIR  SURFACE PRO À RESTER BEAU ET À BIEN FONCTIONNER
L’ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro est doté d’un design, de matériaux et d’une fabrication primés.
Gardez votre appareil en excellent état grâce à ces conseils de neoyage:
• Débrancher toujours l’appareil avant de le nettoyer
• Essuyer l’extérieur avec un chiffon propre doux et humide
• Avec un embout brosse doux, passer l’aspirateur sur les petites entrées d’air sur les
panneaux à chaque extrémité
• Nettoyer la chambre de filtrage en ouvrant la porte avant de l’appareil et en ouvrant la porte
de la chambre de filtrage (côté droit)
• Ne nettoyer jamais avec de l’essence, des solvants chimiques ou des matières corrosives,
elles pourraient endommager la surface
CELLULE ACTIVEPURE®
Pour préserver le fonctionnement optimal, la cellule ActivePure devrait être remplacée chaque année

FILTRES
La technologie ActivePure HEPA rend l’ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro extrêmement silencieux. Les appareils sont
fournis avec un filtre à particule HEPASilent™ (déjà installé).
Le filtre à particules ActivePure HEPA est fait à partir de polypropylène, qui filtre automatiquement les particules
aéroportées (poussière, pollen, squames d’animaux, spores de moisissure et autres particules aéroportées). Pour optimiser
l’eicacité du filtre, les particules sont chargées négativement avant d’aeindre le filtre.
Pour un fonctionnement optimal, ActivePure recommande de remplacer le filtre tous les 6 à 12 mois, selon l’utilisation.
REMARQUE: Utiliser uniquement les filtres à particules ActivePureHEPA afin d’assurer le fonctionnement correct et pour
que votre appareil soit admissible à la couverture complète de la garantie
ENTRETIEN
Nos purificateurs d’air sont conçus pour permere d’améliorer la qualité de l’air en intérieur avec une incidence réduite sur
l’environnement.
Le filtre à particules ActivePure® HEPA est fait à partir de polypropylène, un plastique respectueux de l’environnement.
Notre filtre ne contient pas d’aluminium, de triclosane ni aucun additif chimique
Toutes les pièces majeures sont faites à partir d’acier galvanisé de haute qualité, et non de plastique. Le boîtier en acier
aénue le bruit, orant un fonctionnement silencieux. Les pièces externes sont revêtues de peinture en poudre pour leur
durabilité et la protection de l’environnement
L’ActivePure Guardian Air & Surface Pro est écoénergétique. De la vitesse la plus faible à la plus élevée, il consomme entre
23 à 80 was, soit pas plus qu’une ampoule

INSTRUCTIONS DE REMPLACEMENT DE LA CELLULE ACTIVEPURE®
Étape 1 : Toujours déconnecter (débrancher) l’appareil de la source d’alimentation électrique
avant de remplacer la cellule ActivePure
Étape 2 : Retirer les 4 vis retenant l’ancienne plaque de montage de la cellule sur l’appareil
Étape 3 : Retirer l’ancienne cellule en la glissant, et déconnecter la douille de l’ampoule
Étape 4 : Ouvrir le carton de la cellule de remplacement et retirer la nouvelle cellule
Étape 5 : Placer l’ancienne cellule dans le carton vide et le mere au rebut conformément
aux réglementations locales
REMARQUE: Aucun traitement particulier n’est nécessaire, car la cellule se trouve du côté de
l’échappement de l’appareil et ne contient et ne capture aucun contaminant
Étape 6 : Raccorder l’ampoule à la nouvelle cellule
Étape 7 : Insérer la nouvelle cellule dans l’appareil et la fixer à l’aide des 4 vis
retirées à l’étape 2
Étape 8 : L’appareil est maintenant prêt

ATTENTION
