SmartRAID IV Expansion Modules
If you require more than 15 devices, DPT single bus RAID controllers can be upgraded to
support additional Ultra Wide SCSI busses. By adding the SCSI Expansion Module you can
support up to a maximum of 45 devices in a single slot. Single bus modules allow you to add
up to 15 more devices, while dual channel modules allow up to an additional 30 devices.

DPT SmartCorrect™ ECC-Protected Memory
All hardware RAID controllers require memory. More cache typically
increases performance, especially in RAID 5 arrays, and DPT lets
you add up to 64MB of memory in any SmartRAID controller. Only
DPT offers the choice of standard memory or DPT’s exclusive
SM4000 ECC-protected SIMMs that provide protection for the entire
data path. SM4000 SIMMs are available in 4MB (SM4000/4) and
16MB (SM4000/16) capacities.
