ADEY’s unique Sense® technology not only provides high performance system protection, it also
predicts potential system problems and offers connected preventative maintenance.
IMPORTANT – Always follow the electrical and safety standards when installing a filter.
These instructions are designed to support installers in the safe and effective installation and servicing
of the filter. It is recommended that the filter is installed by a qualified heating engineer.

Combi/sealed system
Open vented system
MagnaClean Micro3 Sense® can be installed anywhere before the boiler. To achieve the best
level of protection, it is recommended that the filter is fitted after the last radiator and before the boiler.
This also ensures a system flush can be carried out using a MagnaCleanse® on the return.
Installation overview
Note: In both diagrams, position A is best practice, Position B is suitable if space is tight on the return.
The following instructions are designed to support engineers in the safe and effective installation
and servicing of MagnaClean Micro3 Sense and should be followed at all times.
Pre-Installation checklist
Have you downloaded the ADEY Sense®App from Google Play or App Store?

Where do I download the App from?
The ADEY Sense App is available to download for free from the Google Play or App store.
What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?
Click on ‘forgotten password’ in the App and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
How do I register the product warranty?
The product warranty is registered automatically as part of the product set up via the App. A warranty
confirmation email will be sent to the homeowner. If the homeowner wants proof that their product
warranty has been registered you must enter their email address as part of the product set up on the App.
How do I know if the product has been successfully connected to the network?
Once the product has successfully connected it will appear in your App filter dashboard.
You can view the status of your filter at anytime within the App.
What happens if the signal drops out?
The product has an internal memory that will store data readings. All unsent readings will be
transferred to the ADEY database when the connection is restored.
Can the homeowner have visibility of their filter performance?
Yes, we have developed a “HomeZone” report service for the homeowner which tells them the status of
magnetite build-up within their filter. This can be activated on their request also via the installation App.
What do I do if I can’t get the product to connect?
It is good practice to check the signal strength from the intended product position before installation.
Please contact ADEY customer service team on +44 (0)1242 546717 for more information.
Does the App store the homeowner’s system details for future reference?
The homeowner’s system details are stored within the App and can be referenced at any time prior to
attending an onsite visit. ADEY does not share user data with a third party. This is in line with ADEY’s
data privacy policy which can be found here: https://www.adey.com/privacy-policy
What are the connectivity limitations?
The home’s construction and arrangement may affect the communication range. Metal objects such
as refrigerators and freezers, hot water cylinders, foil lined plaster board walls, radiators and even thick
brick walls, may reduce the operational range of the filter. It is important to check the strength at the
proposed location of the filter before installation. Check GSM signal strength using the feature in the
sub setting of the filter menu. LEDs will display signal strength on the front of the filter (see quick set-
up section of this manual - page 9).
Does the Sense App work on Tablet devices?
The Sense App has been designed to be compatible for mobile phone and tablets on both Android &
iOS platforms.
Is this filter bi-directional?
Yes, you can use either port as the inlet.
How do I contact ADEY?
ADEY customer service team can be contacted on: +44 (0) 1242 546 717 or info@adey.com
