onthemodel.Inspecteachitemtomakesurenotransitdamagehashappened.Ifyouarenothappywithany
partorareunsurepleasecontacttheDealerthatyoupurchasedfrom.
Covering
Duetothemodelspendingtimeindifferentclimateszonesfromthefactoryonitswaytoyou,someof
thecoveringmayhavewrinkles.Wehighlyrecommendthatyoutaketimetore‐sealallcoveringedgeswithan
ironandtouseaheatguntoremoveanywrinklesandre‐tightenthecovering.Itisbesttodothisnowwhilethe
planeisnotassembled,remembertonotletanyheatgetnearanypartslikethecanopyorcowlasthismaycause
damage.

Tohelppreventthefuselagefrombeingdamagedwhilethemodelisbeing
assembledwe
Note‐Beforebeginningassemblybesuretodetermineyourleftandrightwheelspants.
First,gluethethinwoodwheelspacertotheinsideofthewheelpantonwhatwillbe
theoutersideofthepant.Usethebolttohelpcentrethespacer
Next,inserttheboltfromwhatwillbetheoutsideofthewheelpant;putonethicker
woodspacerontotheaxlebolt,followedbythewheelandonemorewoodspacer.
Installalockwasherontotheaxle‐bolt,followedbyawasher.
Note‐youmustplacethewashernowasitwillbeimpossibletoplaceoncetheaxleis
tightened.

Tightendowntheboltholdingthelocknut.
Note–Donotovertighten.Thiswillpreventthewheelfromturning.
Inserttheprotrudingboltsthroughthelandinggearhole.
Tightenupusingawasherandlocknut.
Repeatforotherside.
HorizontalStab
First,removethecoveringwheretheelevatorhornsfitintothestab,useeithera
solderingironorasharphobbyknife.
Testfitthehornsbeforegluing;someadjustmentmaybeneeded.
Theareaofthehornsthatgoesinsidetheelevatorneedstoberoughedupwith
sandpaperbeforegluing.Thiswillresultinabettergluejoint.

GluethehornsinplaceusingepoxyglueorCA.Putaboltthroughtheballjointhole
tomakesurethatthehornsstayinalignmentwhiledrying.
Beforefittingtheelevatorservofixanextensionleadsothatthewirecanberouted
throughthethefuselage.Besuretosecurethecoupling.
Removethecoveringfortheelevatorservo
FittheElevatorServoand,usingafinedrill,drillholesfortheservoscrews.Remove
theservoanddropthinC.A.intoall4holesafterfirstthreadingtheservo..

Re‐fittheelevatorservoandsecureitinwithservoscrewsafterthe.Gluefullydries.
CentretheservousingyourTX,andfitaservoarm.Useeitheranaftermarketarmor
attachthearmsthatweresuppliedtoaservohead.Screwballjointsontothe
pushrod(useplierstoholdpushrod)andboltinplacewithsuppliedbolts.Centreof
servoshouldalignwithelevatorflattothestab.
Rudder
Removethecoveringwheretherudderhornspushthroughwitheitheraknifeor
solderingiron.

Testfittherudderhorns
Sandtheareaonthehornthatfitsinsidetheruddersothegluebondsbetter
Gluetherudderhingesintoboththerudderandfinusingepoxyglue.Rememberto
useVaselineonthehingejoint.Whiledrying,usetapetokeepitinalignment..
Gluetherudderhornsthroughtherudderwithepoxy;wipeoffexcessgluewhileitis
wet.Usetheballjointandboltwhilegluingtomaintainalignment.Whilestill
movable,measurethatthesameamountpushesouteachside.Careneedstobe
takenhere,otherwiseyourruddergeometrywillbeincorrect.

Assembletherudderservocontrolarmasbelow,drillholesforscrewsandusecyno
tostopthenutsfromcomingloose.
Fittherudderservoanddrillholesusingafinedrillfortheservoscrews,dropthin
cynointotheholestostrengthenthewood.
Usingservoscrewsfixtheservoinplace,notethesplineistowardsthefrontofthe
plane
Theclosedloopwiresareassembledintheplane;attachtherearballjointstothe
rudder.Dothistobothsides.

Fittheaileronservoanddrillfineholeswheretheservoscrewswillfit.Thenapply
thincyanotostrengthentheholes.
Ifrequiredinstallaservoextensionleadontotheservo,remembertouseaservo
plugclip.
Fittheservoandcentretheservoarm.
Usingthepushrodsuppliedscrewballjointsontoeachend.Thecorrectlengthwill
leavetheaileronlineduptotheinnerpartstillattachedtothewing.

Usingsuppliedboltsattachthepushrodatbothends.Checktoseeyouhave
sufficientmovementoftheaileron.Ifnotadjust.
Carryoutthesameprocedureontheotherwing.

Fromthetemplatethatcamewiththeengine,usingthecrossaxisontheenginebox
markthemountingholes.
Checkthediameteroftherequiredboltsanddrillaccordingly.

washersontheinsidetospreadtheloadanduseplentyofnutlock.

Ifusingacanisterabracketisalreadyinsidethemodel.Usingsilicontubingitwill
holdtheendofthecanister.

Cutouttheareafortheenginecylinderheadandtheexhaustoutletonapieceof
thincardandtapethistothefuselageatoneend.
Removetheengineandfitthecowl,thenfoldthecardbackover.
Marktheareaandcutoutusingadremel.Ensurethatenoughaircangetoutofthe
cowl.Therationisusually,3timeoutto1in.
Fittheignitiononthesideofthemotorbox.UseVelcroandalsoastraptoensureit
doesnotcomeoffwithvibration.
Thecowlisfixedin4places,2atthetopand2atthebottom.Placemaskingtape
overthebottom2andpiercewheretheblindnutholeis.

Refitthecowlanddrillwherethemarkedholewas.
Thefueltankispre‐installed.Attachpetrolproofpipeasperlabellingontank
Usethesuppliedpushrodwithaballjointtoconnecttothethrottlearmonthe
engine.Thenfindaconvenientplacetolocatethethrottleservousingthesupplied
mount.
Installtheengineboxcoverplateonceallconnectionshavebeenmadeforthe
engine.

Assemblethesuppliedelectricmotorboxandbolttotheenginebulkhead.
Dependingonthelengthofyourmotoryoumayneedtousethesuppliedround
plywoodspacerstoachievethecorrectlengthforthemotor.
MounttheESCinairflowonthesideoftheelectricmotormount,usingavelcostrap.
Withtheremovalofthefueltankitleavesalargeareawherethebatteriescanbe
mounted.
