Seat cushion:
Place on chair surface.
Use the xing straps to attach.
Connect the tubeset.
Insert the mains power plug into
mains power socket.

cushion installed correctly.
• CPR control is clicked into closed
position.
• Pump self check:
Beep - 10 seconds - beep - ready
to use.
Press Run/Standby button.
Wait until fully inated:
Mattress overlay: 7 minutes
Mattress replacement: 15
minutes
Seat cushion: 3 minutes
WARNING
CPR control must be
visible and accessible at
all times.
Once the Wait indicator turns off,
place bed sheet on mattress and
place patient on the mattress or
seat cushion.
The default setting is Active
mode (alternating pressure).
Install mattress overlay or mattress replacement and pump
Mattress overlay:
Place on top of base mattress.
Use the 4 corner straps to secure.
Mattress replacement:
Place on bed base.
Use the 8 straps to attach to
moving parts of bed frame.
Zip the protective cover
over the mattress with
the Arjo logo at the foot
end.

Secure the ap round
the cable using the press

Transport mode (mattresses only)

Activate:
Push the button down and pull the tubeset connector.
The mattress supports the patient for up to 12 hours.
Resume normal operation:
Reconnect the tubeset.
CPR control (mattresses only)

Activate: Press the two CPR release buttons
simultaneously.
Reset: Push the front of the CPR unit until it clicks
into place.

Cleaning and disinfection
Clean and disinfect between patients and at regular
intervals while in use.
WARNING
Remove the electrical supply to the pump before
cleaning by disconnecting the mains power cord
from the mains power supply or removing the
battery pack.
Protective clothing should always be worn when
carrying out decontamination.
Cleaning
1. Clean all exposed surfaces and remove any debris by
wiping with a cloth moistened with a neutral detergent
and water.
2. Dry thoroughly. Do not allow water or cleaning
solutions to collect on the surface of the pump.
Chemical disinfection
Use a chlorine releasing agent, such as sodium
hypochlorite, at a strength of 1000 ppm available chlorine
(from 250 ppm to 10 000 ppm depending on local policy
and contamination status).
Alcohol based disinfectants (strength 70%) may be used
as an alternative.
If an alternative disinfectant is selected, conrm suitability
for use with the chemical supplier prior to use.
1. Wipe all cleaned surfaces with the solution.
2. Wipe with a cloth moistened in water.
3. Dry thoroughly.
Thermal disinfection
For laundering of the mattress top cover, see label.
Autorm mode
Activate: Press and hold
the button.
Comfort indicators ash
and then illuminates in
sequence.
Extend:
Comfort indicators
ash + series of tones:
Press either comfort key
to extend 5 minutes.
Maximum 30 minutes.
