Product presentation
The DT290 cordless telephone is designed to be used in
indoor environments such as offices etc.
Basic functions
Switch the phone on/off
Press and hold the Back button until the display lights up/
turns blank.
Dial a number
Dial a number and press the onfirm button or press the
onfirm button (keep pressed more than 1 second) and then
dial the number.
Call a number from the Call list
Open the  allList by pressing the onfirm button. Step
with ( ) or ( ) and select one of the 20 last recieved,
dialled or missed calls.
Quick call by name in the Phonebook
Press and hold the key that holds the first character in the
name. Use short presses on the same key to step between
the characters or names, you can also step between the
names by using ( ) or ( ). Press the onfirm button to
dial.

Call by name in the phonebook
Enter the PhoneBook by pressing ( ). Press the onfirm
button twice. Enter Name is displayed, enter the first
letter or the whole name. Press the onfirm button twice to
dial the number.
eceive/End a call
When the signal sounds; press the onfirm button or the
Handsfree key to answer the call. Press the Back button to
end the call.
Transfer a call
During a call, press the R key to put the call on hold. Dial
the number you want to transfer the call to, (you can also
use the Find& all or  allList menu to look up the
number in the phonebook).
If the number is available press the Back button to transfer
the call, or press the R key to return to the call.
Charge the battery
Place the telephone in the desctop charger. A filled battery
icon indicates a fully charged battery. While in the charger
the telephone is fully operational.
Lock/unlock the Keypad
Enter the Settings by pressing ( ). Select AutoKeyLock
and press the onfirm button. Select On or Off and
press the onfirm button.
If On is selected, wait for 30 seconds to press any key.
When the keypad is locked the Locked keypad icon is
displayed.
To unlock the keypad press ( ) and then the onfirm
button. (The keypad will be locked as long as On is
selected in the AutoKeyLock menu).
Adjust the ringer volume
Select Settings, Alerts and then RingVolume. hange
the level with ( ) or ( ). Press the onfirm button.
Turn Loudspeaking function on/off
During the call, press the Handsfree key to turn on/off the
loudspeaking function.
Turn off ringer for current call
Press the Mute key when ringing.
Turn on/off ringer permanently
In stand-by mode press the Mute key. Silent on? is
displayed, press the onfirm button. Press the Mute key
turn the ring signal on again.
Turn on/off microphone during call
Press the Mute key.
Vibrating alert on/off
In the menu select Settings, Alerts and then Vibrator,
press the onfirm button. Select On, Off or
OnIfSilent, press the onfirm button.
Volume/Mute control
Adjust the volume during a call
Press the upper Volume button to increase the volume, and
the Lower button to decrease the volume.
Messaging functions
eceive a voice message
If the Voice message icon appears, press the Message key
to enter the message system.
Programmable key
Enter the MessageKey in the menu and select
Mess.KeyNo. Enter function or number to program, press
the onfirm button.
Press the Message key to dial the programmed number.

Menu

Phone DT290.
Navigate the menu
Enter the menu mode by pressing ( ) when the ordless
phone is in standby mode.
Use ( ) and ( ) to step between the menus. Press the
onfirm button to select/confirm your alternative or settings.
Cancel menu operation
Press the /Mute key shortly. Press the Back button to
cancel the menu step by step.
Write text and numbers
Useful when writing a message, adding, searching or editing
a name in the Phonebook.
Press a key repeatedly until wanted letter or character is
displayed. Press the onfirm button. Enter the number and
press the onfirm button.
(Example: BO) Press key 2 (AB ) twice to get the letter B
then press Key 6 (MNO) three times to get the letter O.
Lower/upper case: press ( ) after the letter.
Space:press key 1 (with key 1 you can also find hyphen,
question mark etc. )
Correction: press ( ) or ( ) to step between the letters/
characters. Press the lear key to delete a letter/character.
Accessories
The following accessories for the DT290 are available.
Add name and number:enter PhoneBook in the menu,
enter a name - press the onfirm button, enter a number -
press the onfirm button. If the Phonebook is full
Phonebook Full is displayed, you then have to delete a
phonebook entry to be able to add new names and
numbers.
Delete name and number:enter PhoneBook. Step with
() and select Find&Edit, press the onfirm button.
Select Delete and confirm. Enter Name is displayed,
enter name and confirm the name and delete. Desktop Charger
