Fill Water Lock
The water lock is on the right side of the canister. A bacteria fi lter and a
riser are included. The water lock is fi lled with water through the riser.
For fi lling the water lock a sterile cannula 20 G, a sterile syringe and 50 ml
sterile water are required. With the cannula you may puncture the silicone
seal above the riser and then fi ll the water lock. Repeat this procedure
un l the water lock is fi lled up to the 2 cm fi lling mark.
Filling the water seal in the canister is op onal.
Insert Canister
Insert the rear le edge of the canister in an angle of approx. 30° to the
housing wall and move the canister to the le un l it engages. Then move
the canister towards the housing un l it clicks into place.
Connect New Hose Set
Connect a new sterile hose set for use with the therapy. Slide the blue
tubing clamp over the blue silicone connector at the pa ent side of the hose.
Power-on Device
The device can be powered on or off by pressing the On/Off key. A leakage test
will automa cally begin to detect if the device is ready for use. Please press
the Enter key to con nue. Remove the blue tubing clamp from the hose.
SD Card Options
If an SD card is already inserted prior to start up, the device will provide
two selection options, “Continue Previous Recording” or “Start New
Recording.”
If an SD card is absent, power-off the pump and insert a blank SD card, or
continue without therapy recording.
Set Target Vacuum
Adjust the target vacuum with the Increase and Decrease keys. The default
vacuum setting is -20 mbar. Activate suction on the device by pressing the
Start Pump/Stop Pump key.

Keylock
The keylock is ac vated automa cally if no keys are pressed within the
preset unlocked period. The unlocked period can be adjusted in the
se ngs menu (between 1 and 20 min).
To manually lock the device, please press the Increase and Decrease keys
simultaneously, un l the keylock symbol is displayed on the screen.
To unlock the device, please press the Increase and Decrease keys
simultaneously, un l the keylock symbol is no longer displayed on the screen.
Alarms
Please promptly address all alarms indicated on the screen. Use the on-screen
troubleshoo ng sugges ons or consult the Instruc ons For Use Manual.
To silence/suppress the alarm and return to the standard opera on screen,
please press the Enter key. The on-screen alarm indicator will con nue to
be displayed un l the cause of the alarm is resolved (i.e. target vacuum
achieved, ba ery recharged).
Therapy Progress
The fl ow,  me and vacuum history can be recalled by pressing the Therapy
Progress key. Use the Enter key to switch between fl ow,  me and vac
metrics. With the Increase and Decrease keys, therapy history se ngs can
be adjusted. To return to the standard opera on screen, please press the
Enter key.
PLEASE NOTE: The actual fl ow is accurate to within 100 ml.
Used Canister Removal
CAUTION: Please wear gloves. Please dispose of used canister according
to facility and governmental regula ons. Only disconnect the device if the
target value of 17 mbar has been reached.
Before removing the used canister, stop the vacuum by quickly pressing
the Start Pump/Stop Pump key. The on-screen therapy paused indicator
will con nue to be displayed un l the therapy has been restarted. Press
the blue canister release bu on, located on the right side of the device,
and swivel the used canister forward un l the canister can easily be
removed from its hinges. Next, disconnect the used canister from the hose
set. The drain tube should remain in place. Seal the secre on channel and
canister pop off valve with the provided protec ve caps.

Install New Canister
Insert the rear le edge of the canister in an angle of approx. 30° to the
housing wall and move the canister to the le un l it rests in the hinges.
Next, move the canister towards the housing un l it clicks into place.
Connect the hose set and a ach to the drain tube. Now the device is ready
for use again.
Restart the vacuum by quickly pressing the Start Pump/Stop Pump key.
PLEASE NOTE: The canister must be exchanged before the collec on vol-
ume level reaches 1900 ml.
Power-off Device
To switch off the device, press and hold the On/Off key for 3 seconds.
