Axisdevicessendtheinitiallysetpasswordincleartextoverthenetwork.Toprotectyourdeviceaftertherstlogin,set
upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.

SetupdirectSIP(P2P)
VoIP(VoiceoverIPisagroupoftechnologiesthatenablesvoiceandmultimediacommunicationoverIPnetworks.Formore,
seeVoiceoverIP(VoIP)onage11.
InthisproductVoIPisenabledthroughtheSIPprotocol.FormoreinformationaboutSIP,seeSessionInitiationProtocol(SIP)on
age11
TherearetwotypesofsetupsforSIP.Peer-to-peerisoneofthem.Usepeer-to-peerwhenthecommunicationisbetweenafewuser
agentswithinthesameIPnetworkandthereisnoneedforextrafeaturesthataPBX-servercouldprovide.Forinformationon
howtosetitup,seePeer-to-eerSIP(P2PSIP)onage11.
1.GotoSystemSIPSIPsettingsandselectEnableSIP.
2.Toallowthedevicetoreceiveincomingcalls,selectAllowincomingcalls.

TherearetwotypesofsetupsforSIP.APBXserverisoneofthem.UseaPBXserverwhenthecommunicationshouldbebetweenan
innitenumberofuseragentswithinandoutsidetheIPnetwork.Additionalfeaturescouldbeaddedtothesetupdependingonthe

2.GotoSystemSIPSIPaccountsandclick+Account.
3.EnteraNamefortheaccount.

6.AddtheaccountinformationfromthePBXprovider.
7.ClickSave.
8.SetuptheSIPsettingsinthesamewayasforpeer-to-peer,seeSetudirectSIP(P2P)onage7.UsetheRTPstart
portfromthePBXprovider.

2.TurnoffMakecallsinthevideomanagementsystem(VMS).
3.UnderRecipients,selectacontact.
Todisablethecallbutton,turnoffEnablecallbutton.

Whenavisitormakesacallfromtheintercom,thepersonwhoanswerscanusetheDual-ToneMulti-Frequencysignaling(DTMF
ofhisSIPdevicetounlockthedoor.Thedoorcontrollerunlocksandlocksthedoor.

•setuptheintercomto:
-requestthedoorcontrollertounlockthedoor,or
-unlockthedoorusingtheinternalrelay.

2.ClickEdit.
3.ClickDTMF.
4.Click+DTMFsequence.

BenetfromIRlightinlow-lightconditionbyuingnightmode
Yourcamerausesvisiblelighttodelivercolorimagesduringtheday.Butasthevisiblelightdiminishes,colorimagesbecomeless
brightandclear.Ifyouswitchtonightmodewhenthishappens,thecamerausesbothvisibleandnear-infraredlighttodeliverbright
anddetailedblack-and-whiteimagesinstead.Youcansetthecameratoswitchtonightmodeautomatically.
1.GotoVideoImageDay-nightmode,andmakesurethattheIR-cutlterissettoAuto.
2.Tosetatwhatlightlevelyouwantthecameratoswitchtonightmode,movetheThresholdslidertowardBrightorDark.
