Installation
WARNING

ElectricalInstallations),IEC/EN60079-14(Explosiveatmospheres-Electricalinstallations
design,selectionanderection)andIEC/EN60079-17(Explosiveatmospheres.Electrical
installationsinspectionandmaintenance).
•Theinstallermustcomplywiththetechnicaldataattached.
•Ensurethatallitemsareapprovedandcertiedfortheenvironmentalandinstallation
requirements.Checktheratinglabeltoensurethatthedeviceisbeingusedwithin
thecorrectambienttemperatureandenvironmentalconditions,andthatthepower
supplyissuitable.
•Thedevicemustbeinstalled≤2000mabovesealevel.

Maintenance
Thedevicedoesnotcontainanyservicableparts.Nocoversorsealsshouldberemoved.
WARNING

•YoumayonlyopenthedevicetoaccesstheSDcardandtoconnectthecables.Donot
removethedevice’sfrontglassforanyotherreason.
•Checkallmountingfastenersfortightnessataregularinterval.
•Tomaintainasmoothoperation,cleanthedeviceregularly.Usewater,milddetergent
andadampcloth.
•Becarefulnottoscratch,damageorleavengerprintsonthefrontglass.Thiscould
decreaseimagequality.Ifpossible,keeptheprotectiveplasticonthefrontglassuntilthe
installationiscompleted.
•Neveruseharshdetergents,gasoline,benzene,acetone,orsimilarchemicals.
Battery
TheAxisproductusesa3.0VBR1632lithiumbatteryasthepowersupplyforitsinternalreal-time
clock(RTC).Undernormalconditionsthisbatterywilllastforaminimumofveyears.
LowbatterypoweraffectstheoperationoftheRTC,causingittoresetateverypower-up.When
thebatteryvoltageislow,alogmessagewillappearintheproduct’sserverreport.
CAUTION
Donotreplacethebatteryyourself.ContactAxissupportifthelogmessagerequestsa
batterychange.
